“I met a very nice couple today while enjoying a delicious breakfast. The atmosphere was alive with people meeting others that shared their stories about all the great food. It was enough to allow me to try something other than my usual breakfast and I was very happy.”

“Just tried Rika's for my first time and WOW. The chicken tenders were remarkably tender, and had the best seasoning I've tried in Grand Rapids. Great sauce selection as well (spicy BBQ and garlic parm were so good).

So many chains (and even other local spots) use way too much breading or batter - not the case here. There's just enough to be perfectly crisp, without taking away from the chicken itself. It's fried to order, so the tenders were as fresh as possible.

The portions are great as well, I'm planning on trying the dark meat special next because it seems like a ridiculous value. I'll absolutely be returning to Rika's soon!”

“First time ordering and I got the falafel/hummus/tabouli sandwich, which was excellent. The bread was warm and fresh, and the falafel was seasoned but not spicey. Hummus was flavorful but not too garlicky. I will definitely be back to try more of there vegetarian options.”

“This restaurant is a family favorite! We have been dining here for over 8 years and even held our rehearsal dinner here! Moon is an outstanding person and greets us every-time we visit. Several family and friends we send her way to try the food. Always fast,fresh and very large dishes! We end up with so much left over we make a few lunches out if it :) our daughter loves the lo mien and she's a very picky toddler :) so good! Never disappointed and very friendly personable staff!”

“Just tried Tastefull Vegan Ice Cream today and it was FANTASTIC! I am allergic to gluten, dairy, some tree nuts and a few other things, and this is a game changer! I haven’t always been allergic to these things so I know what “normal” iced cream tastes like. This is the closest thing to normal ice cream I’ve ever had, maybe even better! My husband also had some and he does not have the allergic I do. He said it’s some of the best ice cream he’s had in a long time! We will definitely be back before the end of the season! Also, you have to try the pumpkin pie flurry and the banana pudding flurry!”

Little Bangkok gives you large chicken tenders that are juicy, and the peanut sauce is delicious. The pork pad thai was very yummy as well. The medium spice is perfect if you want a little spice but not overwhelming. The service is impeccable. Highly recommend the lunch menu. Lots of options.”

He was never disrespectful or rude but I was definitely able to see that he was upset and/or mad about something. I understand it's hot in a pizza kitchen, I've been there and done that for a few years. I have been upset and/or mad at work but I would never let my customers see it, I would still smile and act like nothing was wrong because I don't want the customers to see that. I want them to see us smiling because it's contagious. But other than that it's an amazing place and love their pizza!!”

“I was pretty upset when at first I was missing an item and when I asked at the window the gentlemen was somewhat short with me. Went back and received a sincere apology and acknowledgment that he was wrong and corrected it immediately. I forgot his name but he also offered to make sure my next visit was awesome and I truly appreciated that. Not very often people take ownership of a mistake, apologize and offer immediate solutions.”

- Oreo Milkshake - $5.29: I got mine free after filling out a survey using a code on the receipt on their website. My daughter bought hers. They are about what you’d expect, but done well. They are served with a VERY fat straw and you need it, or use a spoon. It was mixed well and perfectly balanced with oreo crumbles and ice cream. The whipped topping and cherry were a great addition.

You also get a full sized Oreo on top. That’s cool!

PRO TIP FOR EATING: Eat the Oreo FIRST or you’ll be fishing it out of the bottom and getting messy.

- Service: Not much since it is all ordered at the kiosk, but they were friendly enough. They even got the pronunciation of my daughter’s name right, which NEVER happens.

- Atmosphere: Clean. They still maintain that old diner feel (except the table service). The dining area has not changed much in 20 years and that is a good thing. Just bring back the table service.

- Conclusion: Again, I complain about this every time with Steak ‘n Shake. I hate the kiosks. But their food is still the same awesome goodness. They still have my very favorite fries.
