“Blackwoods catered my son’s wedding yesterday. Overall we would recommend them, but there were a few glitches. The tablecloths we picked up from them the day before the wedding were the wrong size and, despite being sealed in plastic, there were quite a few set in stains. I phoned and left a message about the issue, and no one bothered to return my call. Not a promising start. On the day of the wedding, the staff arrived on time, and everything was set up and ready to go as planned. For the most part the food was good, but the ham was awful. It was tough and the pieces were cut into huge chunks, many of which were full of fat and gristle. We had people who normally love ham refusing to eat it. Since it was one of the main dishes, the ham was a huge disappointment, especially for the money paid. The turkey, however, was moist and tasty. The staff members were helpful and professional. They willingly boxed up leftovers for the wedding couple, which was much appreciated, and they left the church kitchen clean.“

“Literally just got a slice of the gluten free chocolate cake. BEST I've had in the 6 years I've been gluten free. I really had to convince myself to not go back for all of whatever of the cake you had in store. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area!“

“Both my significant other and I absolutely loved our waffles! I had the Smores Waffle and they had the Chicken and Waffle. The owner was very friendly to us and our dog. It is a dog friendly place with outdoor seating behind the building. Water and treats are available for visiting dogs.“

“Shamrock Pizza is an icon eatery and bar in South End, Superior. They have long been a part of my families pizza eating tradition in the Twin Ports area. The Bacon Cheese Burger (with pickles) and Ken's Special are the family favorites. Soft drinks are by the can or bottle, free refills may not be available. It's cash only.“

“Love this place! The food was wonderful. We started off with the Tempura Fried Cauliflower. I loved the aioli sauce, and the whole dish was very tasty. We both ordered the Coconut Curry Rice Bowl with Chicken and it was sublime. I practically licked the bowl it was so good! We ordered a bottle of cabernet, which was decent but not great. Of course, after the first glass, it tasted just fine. :) For dessert we shared a very dense and very delicious piece of chocolate cake with whipped cream. So good! Definitely a place to come back to!Vegetarian options: Probably 75% of the menu appeared to be vegetarian or vegan. But everything we tried was delicious.Dietary restrictions: There were a lot of vegetarian and vegan options, also dishes that were gluten free.Parking: It's in downtown Duluth so parking can be iffy depending on when you go.“

“This sandwich shop was adorable! You order at the counter & then they have SO much seating and bring your food to you! They have ADA accessible seating and seating upstairs! The sandwhich was a typical sandwich but supporting a local business is always great :) Would definitely recommend!“

“Delightful! Tables were busy so i sat at their bar - which I wanted to do anyway. Best red-eye coffee I've ever had. Chorizo biscuits and gravy with over-easy eggs was insanely good. Looked like a ton of food but went down surprisingly light! Something about the cherry tomatoes and basil hidden in the dish added a perfect aromatic, herbal, complementary essence. I'll be thinking about that dish for a while!Highly recommend - probably need reservations if you need a table!“

“Always a great experience. Staff is friendly and attentive. Very pleased there is a separate vegan menu with great options. Real vegan entrees not just an impossible burger but well thought out entrees with great flavors and "meat" alternatives. Ask for the vegan menu. Other vegetarian items are clearly marked on the regular menu. Thnx for having great vegan options.“

“Smashburgers were some of the best I've had, especially the wildfire ranchero. Ordered the totchos, but honestly, $9 for like 9 tatertots in queso with too many green onions and not enough jalapeños felt like actual communist portions. One waitress on the floor the entire night, she did an amazing job she deserves a raise, or you guys should hire help!“

“Local Duluthian. This used to be a family favorite spot, it felt like a "Special" place to go. We rarely come here in recent years. The last few times its clear how run down this spot is becoming - you have such a great location, beautiful view of lake superior, tourist hot spot ... but its sad how run down its becoming, carpets, worn down booths. . . . Leaving this review to try encourage owners to put a little pride back into this restaurant and do Duluth Proud.“
