“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We were hungry, we saw the sign and swung into into Allycats Sandwich Shop up in White Bear Lake, and lemme tell yous guys, it's got that Satriale's Pork Store vibe, mixin' it up with some good ol' Southern flair. Now, picture this – I'm a vegetarian, right? And with their heavy southern menu, I started to get a little anxious like I was about to get pinched for racketeering. But to my surprise, they had a veggie burger on the menu that had me praising sweet baby Jesus on this glorious Sunday 🙌 Now, my hubby, he isn't shy when it comes to meat. So he sat down with his Nashville Hot Chicken like Tony Soprano sitting down to family dinner hosted by Paula Dean. The Sriracha tots caught our eyes, so we gave those a try. And with that mojito lime ranch sauce....I'll I could say was 'bada bing and slap my mmama'😋 They're a whole new level of yum. And the staff? They're as friendly as sweet tea on a Southern porch. “My husband and I were in the area so we decided to stop in. We were on a time crunch so we ordered some easy stuff such as finger foods and fried rice. I was in the mood for something beefy but wasn't really in the mood for pho or anything soupy so I ordered the beef bulgogi instead. The food took a while to be served but the server was pretty cool so we didn't mind. When we got our food, the finger food was pretty good. The spicy fried chicken we ordered was good. The fried rice was bland. The bulgogi, however was disappointing. Instead of using a type of meat with some marble in it, they used the eye round, the leanest part of the cow, and grilled it up. I get it. It's already sliced thinly for pho but the eye round pieces that was used was pretty thick. The whole thing was dry and chewy. There was barely any sauce glazed over the meat. Please don't be cheap. If you're going to put a certain dish on your menu, serve it properly with the correct type of meat. If you don't want to use a more expensive cut such as ribeye, which is the correct section of beef to use, then go with the chuck meat. We hear good things about the sushi so maybe next time we'll stop in for that.”

“Fast and friendly service. I got the veggie platter, and it was huge and chock-full of delicious food! I also got the hot black tea and it was refreshing and flavorful. They have a diverse menu with very affordable prices. I can’t wait to go back and try other items on the menu.”

Note to other patrons:
Bringing a large group to breakfast on the busiest day of the week? Call ahead and reserve a table. Panicking the high school age hostess because you brought a group of 11, which was shortly followed by a group of 6, to a popular busy breakfast place and didn’t plan ahead… not their fault. Being seated after 1-top and 2-tops… normal. They only have so many big tables. Don’t flip out at the young girl trying to find you a table because someone eating by themselves was seated before your entire group had a free table. Accept YOUR bad planning and wait til they can accommodate you.

I’m appalled by the way I watched these people treat you. You did everything right, and if they complain later about it, I hope your bosses see this comment!”

“A absolute gem of a restaurant in White Bear Lake. In town visiting family & so enjoyed our first time here last night. Very cool & well designed with a great vibe, beautiful bar area where you can comfortably dine also. Which is aso the main diningroom with views of the kitchen & Chefs creations. Food was out of the park; 2 chicken entrees & the Walleye-and let's not forgot the delicious chocolate mousse dessert! Will always plan a dinner here we visit again.”

“My daughter and I went here because I was on the search for an amazing Affogato. They did not disappoint. The owner was super sweet to my daughter and pulled strawberry gelato out of the freezer even though it wasn’t on their menu that day. All of the gelato we had was amazing and the customer service was even more amazing. We give this place 5 out of 5 stars, and we will definitely be back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

Also wasn't there to drink alcohol so I cannot speak to the quality of their cocktails. I'm certain they're excellent, though, with what the locals have told me. Perhaps, next time 😊 (pics shown are of the bar behind them that they also own which is open later; don't hesitate to go there too or instead; I just don't remember the name of it because signage wasn't obvious and it was a cold AF night) Had a seasonal zero proof mocktail and it was pretty good but had artificial food coloring in it which I will avoid next time due to allergies.”

“I really like this Caribou, which I have used for remote work recently. The staff is nice and they have mint tea and other non-coffee options which I like (too late in day for coffee). I just wish the food options were wider, including for customers who need to keep gluten-free. Also, the restrooms could be cleaner. Thanks.”

“the manager is just as rude as he was when I worked there years ago. he was VERY rude to my dad when he came in tonight and im upset my dad didn't let me go in there and say something. I don't care if it's busy and you are overwhelmed, I worked there for years and understand the stress, but you don't tell a customer you can't do something when you absolutely can, and it wasn't even your order you were doing so you should have kept your bald head back in the kitchen with your nasty tone to yourself. Dee is one of the worst managers ever, besides Nick and Terry. Dawn needs to put Dee through some kind of managment kindness courses.”
