“I had a great time at Blade & Timber in Leawood. It was my first time trying axe throwing and I was pleasantly surprised by how fun and easy it was. The staff was super friendly and helpful, they taught me the basics and gave me some tips to improve my throws. The place was very clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere was lively and upbeat. They also had a full bar and a nice selection of snacks to enjoy while throwing axes. The only downside was that it seemed a little overpriced for the experience. I paid $35, which felt a bit steep for something that didn't require much equipment or skill. I think it would be more reasonable to charge $15 or $20 per hour, or offer some discounts or deals for groups or repeat customers. Overall, I had a fun at Blade & Timber and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and exciting activity.“

“The service was excellent. I did not try any wine. I ordered the gumbo for my main dish and the drunken shrimp was my appetizer. Everything was delicious. However I did order a lemon drop and I was not impressed. I should of asked them to use Grey Goose because the Vodka they used was not good to me. I forgot to take a photo of the gumbo.“

“This place is the perfect storm of nice steakhouse food and decor mixed with good music and a lively atmosphere. The waitstaff was laid back, friendly, and extremely sociable. I ended up here by reccomendation and it has now become a destination for me whenever I'm in the area. I wish I had taken more pics but I was too wrapped up in the moment, enjoying the experience to do so. Pictured is the black and blue ribeye with the green beans subbed out for rice. “The food, drinks and service are always outstanding. The last two times we've dined here the noise level is so high that we can barely talk to one another. I'm sure it has to do with the proximity of the tables and some voices just being more pervasive than others. It's concerning and will inform our decision going forward.“

“I went to Johnny's Tavern in with some friends and we had a lot of fun. The place was very lively and had a lot of televisions showing different sports games. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was fast. I cannot comment on the food or drink selection, as we did not order anything, but the menu looked varied and appealing. The prices seemed reasonable for the area and the quality. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed, and we enjoyed sitting there. “We booked a 2 bay party. The golfing was fun, but the food took a very long time to arrive and was cold when it finally did. It seems there are a lot of people involved in serving groups and I'm guessing they are sorry staffed as far as kitchen crew goes. Unfortunately it shows. We will still go to top golf for a fun time, but will plan to eat prior in the future and most likely won't be booking a party again.“
“Houlihan's is our favorite restaurant. The food is consistently good with great variety. Service is always exemplary. Try the Heartland Grilled chicken salad. The chicken is moist and tender. The dressing isn't overpowering, and the veggies are fresh.“

“Fun place! Been wanting to stop for awhile and I was glad I finally did. The atmosphere and rock and roll decor, was perfect. I ordered Alice Cooper's Poison Burger after encouragement from my waitress Annie (she was great) and the heat level didn't disappoint. The meal came with fries which were plentiful and tasty. Overall great experience and a good meal. I will definitely return and speak of my ghost pepper experience.“

“Have loved this venue. Have gone bowling every Monday and Friday Jan-March with a group of girlfriends. We jokingly named our group “Bumper Babes”. The food is great as well as drinks and wine and love the iced tea. I even brought my 4 year old grandson to bowl, one of the Managers, Dave made him feel very welcome on his 1st bowling adventure by awarding him a champion medal! So nice! Thank you Dave! There are also bar games in the back room in case you are looking for something fun.The chicken fingers are awesome as many others have said. I would def recommend them. They have a nice selection of dipping sauces as well.They had at least 10 beers on tap which was great. They even had Yuengling Hershey's which I have never seen outside of PA! “This place was AMAZING! The food was clearly prepared fresh, the staff was extremely kind and the environment was so relaxed. I’m not usually one for cornmeal breading but I would choose their catfish over any I’ve had thus far in my life, and the jalapeno cornbread was clearly made in house not from frozen. Best onion rings I’ve EVER had. I will be back, with more people too.“
