“Paradise Bar and Grill has a cozy atmosphere. I made the mistake of coming for the food. Which was meh. Everyone else came for the drinks and conversations. They seemed to be having a great time. Don’t make my mistake. Come for the drinks and the adult conversation.“
“I frequent the Belton Longhorn for lunch, as they offer burgers and combos of soup, salad and potato choices at reasonable prices. As I was leaving the restaurant last week, I noticed their menu board announcing that “lamb chops are back by popular demand”. My wife and I dined there tonight and the lamb exceeded my expectations. Served with garlic mashed potatoes and wilted spinach, they were excellent. The Outback across town doesn’t always have lamb so Longhorn is my new (and much closer) go-to place. Also, the waitress who served us tonight was excellent as well. Great atmosphere too. Made for a perfect evening.Parking: Handicap parking is on the side rather than in front across from the entry…slightly inconvenient.“
“Great place! The food was amazing, much more flavorful than any chain restaurant. Our service was great. eating at roadside was the best part of our day! Something I noticed was how clean the restaurant was. There was no stickiness on tables or the floors, there were fresh bottles of ketchup, and the tables were spotless. They also served our food in those baskets with the paper so we didn’t have to worry about a dirty plate!“
“We love the family cabin, sad they’re not still open for dinner. My favorite is the pancakes, for whatever reason they’re delicious!! My mom loves their omelettes, she says they’re so cheesy. The breakfast sandwich is delicious, but you can’t beat the breakfast special for $8.“
“After reopening menu is different. Still have sliced bbq,more other sandwiches and more entre offerings. Still same great deserts. I had pork tenderloin sandwich was very good. All done in house. Still a great place to eat. They removed the old smoker which was the source of the fires,got a smaller modern one. Really need to get folks going back there. The inside looks really nice.“
“The Snack Shack has the best tacos ? ? of anywhere I've ever been ! 3 tacos ? ? and I was stuffed ?. Mom had the same thing too. It's a great little dive to order to go items as well. “Tara's Cafe and Malt Shop is a delightful café in Belton’s Olde Towne. Come for the atmosphere and stay for the milkshakes. The staff is friendly and helpful. The milkshakes are delicious. I give them a 8 out of 10. There was no cherry on top, or in my case, a blackberry on top. While I was there a blind woman was there with her granddaughter. I took that as a handicap accessible stamp of approval.I sampled 3 of their burgers. The Jiffy burger, a regular hamburger, and a Bison Burger. All the burger came plain, with condiments on the side. Which made the burgers look basic and did not excite me. I give the plain burgers 5 out of 10. With the condiments, I give them a 7 out of 10. I could not tell if the burger buns were toasted. Which led to a very boring mouth feel when I tried the burgers without condiments. Once I added the lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle, to the burgers they had a lot more textures and flavors for me to enjoy.“
“This place was AMAZING! The food was clearly prepared fresh, the staff was extremely kind and the environment was so relaxed. I’m not usually one for cornmeal breading but I would choose their catfish over any I’ve had thus far in my life, and the jalapeno cornbread was clearly made in house not from frozen. Best onion rings I’ve EVER had. I will be back, with more people too.“
