“Great place! The food was amazing, much more flavorful than any chain restaurant. Our service was great. eating at roadside was the best part of our day! Something I noticed was how clean the restaurant was. There was no stickiness on tables or the floors, there were fresh bottles of ketchup, and the tables were spotless. They also served our food in those baskets with the paper so we didn’t have to worry about a dirty plate!“
“Not sure what I was expecting but I was blown away by their delicious food and expert service. I never managed to empty my water glass (and I tried). Their cherry limeade mule cocktail was delicious and I definitely recommend their curry aoli with the sweet potato fries. Would definitely come again and bring some friends!“
“This is our third visit to this restaurant I thought they deserved some props. Food was tasty, portions were large and prices were very good. There was four of us and each person ordered a full plate lunch and drinks. Our check was around $90.00. Now some might freak at that but we all took home boxes with enough food for a second lunch. Our server was very helpful and attentive to everyone at our table. All of highly recommend Southside Bar & Grill for lunch. I'm sure it would be great for dinner too!“

“Love the food (reasonably priced). Both quality and quantity is absolutely the best bang for your money! I travel over 60 miles once a month, to meet a friend for lunch. This is NOW the only place we'll eat. There is no bad food here. The servers are friendly and make the entire dining experience GREAT! DON'T CHANGE A THING!“
“I visites for the first time earlier this week and had a great time. I popped in for a quick post work snack and had a cup of gumbo, which was fantastic and the Berry Mule. Excellent drinks, excellent service, excellent quick bites. Not too stuffy, easy to access, great atmosphere. You’d love it!“
“Nice small bar and grill. I went at the beginning of lunch to get ahead of the crowd. The Bartender was friendly and efficient. I ordered two meals to-go, chicken wings and a pork tenderloin with tater tots. The pork tenderloin filled the majority of the to-go styrofoam clam shell. It was lightly breaded and tasty. The wings were cooked well and were enjoyable. My 11-year-old son was thankful they were not spicy.“
“This bar used to be filthy, a dive at its finest, and I was just blown away today. I hadn't been here in 15 years, they have the pool tables and dart boards, there's outdoor seating now, and the bar was spotless. My Heineken was only 4 bucks and the bar tender is a doll. Will def make return trips when I'm in from Chicago.“
“The vibes and energy were amazing. I went on a Wednesday night when they had 99 cent wings. The flavor of the wings was some of the best I have had in Kansas City. The drinks were very reasonably priced. Overall I had a great experience here.“
“Went for a simple dinner and drinks with friends. There was a decent dinner rush we came in towards the end of on a Saturday evening at 730 but no wait. We enjoyed the tatchos and pretzel sticks with a few drinks before ordering burgers and the salmon blt. Food was good but we really liked the appitizers. Our server was still training but on her own and she was friendly and helpful and did a great job. They are open until 10 on sat but we were the last people there and left at 9pm. The vibe was good with others there and no one was rushing us but it felt odd to be so empty at 9pm. We will go back because we liked the food and service, but may go a bit earlier next time.“
“I've been here a few times before. Tonight we came in to see the band Crowardly Lions. The place was packed. We ordered a couple of drinks and stood in the middle of the bar to watch the band. All tables was taken. Younger crowds mostly in their 20s. No one was really dancing at the beginning. But toward the end, the place was hopping. We eventually got a table. Mostly to set our drinks down. The whole time standing and dancing. Service is always good each time we come.“
