It was easy to figure out after a short tutorial from the friendly waitstaff. “First time eating here last night . My wife and I met another couple for dinner. Small, pleasantly decorated diner/deli style restaurant. The waitress was pleasant, although the kitchen was a bit slow in getting our food out despite it not being too busy. I had the Central Branch Reuben and my wife had the Roast Beef sandwich. We both enjoyed our meals and there were plenty of meat on each one. Neither came with a side, despite costing $12 each. (The online menu says Russian dressing is on the Central Branch Reuben, but their menu I store says Thousand Island, and the sandwich did have Thousand Island on it). We shared a side of German Potato Salad for $2 and it was not bad. We would like to come back and try their pizza. Not a great value when compared with other places , but probably pretty good prices for being downtown.“

“A large group of us stopped in here for lunch on a Saturday and had lunch. The Buffalo Chicken Flatbread was NOM. Hubs ordered a salad and we shared both of theses. For the money, it was good food. Drinks from the Taproom to finish it off. My only complaint is that they needed another person back there helping. Some of the folks didn't order because he was getting behind, and warned there could be a long wait. Bummer for them, that they missed out on good food. We sat at the bar and had great service. The pizza was delicious as usual but it’s so hard to stop eating. I love the St Louis style. The wine is cheaper on Wednesdays also. On the Marco's website itself, I can make the pizza how I want it. Whether it's with extra sauce or light cheese, halfsies, etc.. Since I have to use Uber eats or Doordash, I don't get those options. Just the pizza, size and cheese. Nothing for extra sauce, or halfsies or extra toppings, nothing. Please communicate who you have in charge with setting up the menu through these third party delivery sites so that the same options you have for your website matches.I'm sorry for the wall of text, but this seriously has to be addressed. “A while back someone posted in a FB group wondering why people had not gone to a particular restaurant. Their complaint was that there were no pictures or posts about this restaurant. I must admit they were correct, and I set out to do something about it. So yesterday afternoon I got in my jalopy, and I drove over to a café they call Hard Core!When I got there, I ordered up a nice cold Dunkel and their version of the club sandwich. You see they take three slices of wheat bread and toast them to perfection and then they put onto that bread a good smear of mayo and on top of that mayo they put down some lettuce, cheese, turkey, and add the second slice and on that second slice they put a little more cheese tomato ham and bacon put the lid on it, drive a stake through its heart and cut it in half.Holy Moly!This is where human endurance is tested for you see that sandwich sits well over 3 and 1/2 in high! Even after attempting to squeeze it together, unless you have a lower jaw that you can unhinge, you cannot wrap your mouth around it. And when you do as I did and take a bite out of the bottom half and then a bite out of the top half, so you can get all of the flavors, I was amazed at how incredibly delicious and fresh this sandwich was.This is an incredible sandwich!Well done Hard Core CaféWell done indeed!It’s a Thursday afternoon and I'm filling my belly with a fantastic club sandwich in Gladstone!!“
