“We arrived at about 8pm on a Friday night at was able to sit at the bar immediately. Ethan, the host, was very warm and welcoming as was every staff we interacted with. Everyone really seemed to enjoy working there which is very rare. The bartenders were awesome! My wife and I had a tom collins and smoked old fashioned and they were so good. It was a lot of fun watching the bartenders make the drinks. We ordered the cauliflower (superb flavors and pairings!), the cheese pizza (the crust was so good!) and then finished with the cheesecake (very interesting pairings but so good!). I finished off with a coffee and cannot say enough about this place.”

“We needed egg and gluten free cupcakes for an important event in the MU School of Music, and Alanna did a great job! I always want to be inclusive of food allergies, but most bakeries don't offer accommodations. Getting both egg AND gluten free in one cake was a big deal. A gluten-eater even had one and declared them so good, they were the cupcakes he *wished* he'd had at a recent celebration, instead of the ones served! And on top of being delicious, they were absolutely beautiful. I will definitely be recommending you to all my Mizzou colleagues for future events!”

“Our favorite boba spot moved and closes early now, so we had to find a new company. I do miss the creme brulee I used to get with the other company, but I enjoyed the hot pumpkin spice milk tea I tried here. My husband and daughter enjoyed their snow and slushes with boba. The difference between the two is one has milk and the other doesn't. I think the snow has milk, but I could be wrong. I haven't seen snow/slush options at other establishments and its a nice option on a hot day.”

Mostly an overall good experience with the low being our fault for when we went knowing football game was at home today. Would recommend”

“My wife and I had a late lunch there today and Riley who was taking care of the bar, also took care of our table. We had not eaten there since they moved to the new location. We started with the Calamari and we had just a few minutes to chat after we finished and our meals were brough to us. My wife had the Ravioli Aragosta and I had the spicy Chicken and Sausage. The meals looked great and tasted even better. The fresh bread that was brought to the table was perfect! Riley took care of all of our needs, and we never felt rushed. I definitely recommend this place and hope to return soon.”

“I’ve eaten their pies for years and always been pleased with their quality and the service of their staff. But I want to take a minute and thank them for their recent help. My mom had just received a diagnosis that gave her new dietary restrictions. I called and asked what things I could order given those restrictions and they found us a delicious lemon pie. To top it off, they even called back to double check if eggs were ok because we hadn’t discussed that possibility. I was touched by their efforts and encourage anyone who hasn’t popped by to give them a try!

If a place has good caldo pollo, carnitas, and tamale it's pretty certain everything else will be good. Also had a very good torta cubano. The extra spicy salsa (you have to request) was superb. Love the staff.”

“This unassuming shop off of broadway is home to the best sandwiches in Columbia. Coming from New York I have craved a fresh deli style sandwich shop, something that Jersey Mike's can closely mimic, but other alternatives struggle to match. The bread is perfect, the meats taste delicious, and the toppings are not soggy. If you want a similar dining experience, you will have to go to upscale restaurants that charge an arm and a leg, but offer off-putting service. The ambiance is what you might expect of a small bar inside of an antiquated theater. This is truly a "must visit" if you're a local or passing through!”

“Years ago I fell in love with their mole’ poblano. The sauce was so dark and rich and thick but for the last 5 years or so it is not the same. Now it has some red mixed in and is more like enchilada sauce. I can get a jar of Dona Maria and make it better at home. Other aspects of this place are fine but just wish the mole’ was like it used to be.”

“Chris Mc D's has the best gourmet food in Mid-Missouri...or maybe anywhere. On a recent visit, we met our server, Joe. He was so knowledgeable about the food and how it was cooked, that I ,wondered if he had been standing elbow-to-elbow with the CHEF, who has my highest regards. Joe explained to us how all the seafood is FLOWN IN fresh. This speaks very highly both of Chris Mc D's and Joe, who knew and cared to share this information with us. A solid 5 stars for this restaurant!”

I also, want to thank the kind manager, who took the time to track me down and let me know they had found a watch that I lost while visiting the restaurant. This was above and beyond. “Stayed with family for November and December 2022 in Columbia Missouri . Had never been to a First Watch restaurant . This breakfast and lunch restaurant became my new favorite restaurant. Everything I have ordered has been amazing from French toast ,waffles, omelettes , tacos ,sandwiches and salads . Very healthy and fresh food . Would eat at First Watch three times a week during my two month stay in Columbia Missouri. Always asked to seated in Melany's section . But all the wait staff was great !!! Took my 9 year old grandson for breakfast and he rated the restaurant a 10 . He had a waffle and sausage links and hot chocolate. I had the Italian sausage omelette with roasted potatoes. Food is always amazing . Great place to go by yourself with a friend or family . Highly recommended this place .”

“Ok to all asking they open at 11am daily! Website says 8AM weekends, starting July they will go back to 8AM weekend schedule. NO breakfast items on buffet at this time, not even white gravy. Starting July when they open at 8 AM they will start breakfast again. YUM!! To me they have less seating and less food selection now. But love the new drink stations where you can get your own drinks.”
