As soon as I pulled into the drive-in, I was greeted by the nostalgic atmosphere and the smell of sizzling burgers on the grill. I decided to try their famous cheeseburger with fries, and it was absolutely delicious! Carry out only so atmosphere can't be rated very high but it's not bad either. Located very close to Independence at 40 Highway and Blue Ridge Cutoff. Might be a ways to go but definitely worth it. Junior double cheeseburger seems to be the universal favorite. Right now they have had to stop offering onion rings because their supplier got bought out and they did not like the quality that was switched to. They're working on getting that corrected. I have been coming to Hi-Boy's my whole life. It's the best cheeseburger in town. My mother was a teen when it opened. She taught us to love it and now my kids crave it! We now live 2 hours away and it's the first place we stop when we come to KC!!!
