“This is a tiny neighborhood restaurant with inexpensive dishes. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. There were plenty of parking out front. They had mediocre decor and ambiance. I would recommend a quick lunch at this restaurant if you crave thai food.“

“The rare beef pho and spring rolls were savory. The peanut sauce was my favorite. The spring rolls were so perfect. Everything in the restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. This is probably one of the better places in the area to get pho.“

“This was our first time at Addie's Thai House. It was a recommendation by our college friends. We went here for a monthly dinner night out. We alternate city and county restaurants to make it interesting and to try new places we have not been before.. We all enjoyed our meals. The food was very delicious and plentiful. We all had leftovers to take home. Grace was our server, She was very professional and courteous with a bubbly personality. I had the sweet and sour chicken entrée well balanced and flavorful. My wife had the Pad ThI noodles. She enjoyed them especially since they were able to leave out the garlic, she has an issue with garlic. Our friends each had different entrees s well. One had the spicy boat a combo of seafood,shellfish with a side of white rice. His partner had the pineapple fried rice. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would highly recommend Addie's if you like Thai food or if you just want to try new experiences.Wheelchair accessibility: They have handicap parking spots and ramps for guests“

“We arrived early on Sunday morning to try a new Pho restaurant. They prepare each bowl fresh upon ordering, which makes the process a bit slower, but I appreciate the attention to detail. The Pho was not only delicious but also offered a satisfying balance of quality and quantity. In addition to that, we ordered a boba smoothie; the owner customized it perfectly to my preference for less sugar, and it was delicious. We will definitely return and recommend this place to our friends.“

“Food was good, pricing was reasonable, great location, service was good. I wish they could buy a couple of high chairs. We came in with a toddler and he had to sit on an adult chair which made it quite difficult and uncomfortable for him to eat, so we had to quickly gobble down our lunch and pack his lunch for him to eat at home. Also, the level of spiciness was MUCH high then I expected. I like spicy food and I'd say I'm above average in terms of tolerance to spiciness, but I ordered a noodle soup at 3 out of 5 level, and it was like eating a bowl of razor blades.“

The recipe used for Massaman Beef was created by the mother-in-law of the owner and was so highly rated it was presented to the royal family of Thailand. “The Thai food scene in STL has been in dire straits recently, with Chao Baan falling off hard and King & I departing for the county. So you can imagine my excitement when I saw Thai Kitchen was opening nearby.My meal last night was excellent. The yellow curry was rich with just the right spice level, and the rangoons were delicious. This will be my go-to Thai takeout spot from now on.Only issue is that their pickup procedure is a little unclear. It's supposed to be a no-contact pick-up, where you get your food from a locker in the lobby (unlocked via a check-in kiosk). But I guess Thai Kitchen isn't using that system, so I had to wait around a bit to ask someone for my food.“

“I've been here twice - once for dine in and once more recently for takeout. Both were great experiences. This most recent time I wanted steamed dumplings for dinner and also got the veggie spring rolls. Everything was nice and hot. The spring rolls were crisp and not at all oily. The steamed dumplings were soft and tender. Everything tasted amazing, including the sauce/dip that comes with each. Even the soy-based sauce, which is often just soy sauce at most places, was clearly several steps up from that and had great depth of flavor. Definitely recommend.“

“Local spot for just Asian food. Sounds generic to call it generic, but this place has the biggest menu I have ever seen at an Asian restaurant. There is so many Sushi options - rolls, sashimi, a decent Thai menu, Chinese cuisine options, traditional Japanese cuisine items and more! And, if that isn't enough, there were three boards on the wall with another ~20 options AND a flip board on the table with at least that many more! I went with the all-you-can-eat lunch for $15 - miso soup (3.75/5): pretty decent. Traditional. - Thai spring rolls (3.75/5): serving of 3. Seemed freshly made vs frozen. Lots of cabbage. Decent. - tempura shrimp roll: (4.25/5) really good. I would order this again. - yellowtail spicy roll: (3.25/5) Ok. Not spicy. Texture of the fish knocked it back for me. It was kind of a smashed fish vs a filet. Maybe this is traditional...? Anyhow, not my favorite roll. I would come back again.“

“My wife and I are in St. Peter's as a way-stop on a cross-country drive. We saw the Viet-Thai sign and decided to try the restaurant. What a very pleasant surprise. I had the Com Ga Nuong and she had chicken Pad Thai. Both were excellent. The service was welcoming and conscientious. If we are ever in St. Peter's again, we will certainly visit Viet-Thai Kitchen.“

The owners are kind hearted and hardworking people who have been contributing to St. Louis’ diverse restaurant scene for years- it’s important for hole in the wall family owned restaurants like Yan Wu to exist and continue adding to the social and cultural fabric of the city, as more and more go out of business or are replaced by characterless chains. Please take a second to try and examine why you are so quick to judge a minority owned business and label the owners as “rude” due to communication barriers or assume they are talking about you when they speak in their native language rather than impulsively attempt to put another local restaurant out of business.“
