“Massa's is the penultimate American Italian cuisine and one of the best in the country! It's cozy with attentive service. The food is more than one can eat. The Carbona and Cajun pasta are world class! Please remember this is American Italian. They're not going to give you olive oil and vinegar and little European delicacies. They're going to give you great food and lots of it.Note, getting there is an experience in itself, this restaurant is a real sudden turn off of a freeway on ramp. You'll probably miss it on your first try!“
“We got the buffet, the pizza and salad we're very good. I was a bit disappointed by the selection of food on the buffet. Nothing but pizza and salad. I think they had some kind of sweet dough. Our waitress was really hustling and did a great job.“
“This experience was amazing! Our twin 2 year olds loved it, including calamari. They are very picky eaters so it was great to see them try something new. Our server Lee was amazing and so very friendly especially to our kids. He was very attentive. Would definitely go back soon and ask for him if he was there at the time. The food was very delicious so I also commend the cooks as well. The atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly. The hostesses were always smiling and you could tell they enjoyed their job. I am a previous server of over 15 years. If I ever served again I would want to work here. For everyone seemed to like it there. Can't wait to come back and enjoy wonderful service and food again“
“Amazing! As always. I brought my best friends & my daughter, their first time. And they were blown away with the food, staff, and whole experience. As for me, I’m in amazement with your consistency. I’ve been many times… Always amazing!“
“"From the moment I stepped into The Crossing in Clayton, I knew I was in for a remarkable dining experience. The exceptional service began with Sunny, who skillfully handled my reservation, and continued with David's warm welcome at the door. My server, Joshua, was simply outstanding, ensuring that my visit was nothing short of perfect. What truly set this experience apart was the meticulous attention to dietary restrictions for both me and my guests. It's rare to find a restaurant that genuinely cares and accommodates with such grace. The meal was unforgettable, leaving me talking about it for weeks. But the cherry on top was a chance encounter with Joseph on the sidewalk days later. His genuine follow-up about my experience showcased a level of care and knowledge that is unparalleled in the industry. The Crossing in Clayton is not just a restaurant; it's an experience where the staff goes above and beyond, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking culinary excellence and exceptional service."“
“This is the kind of restaurant that you save your 5-star reviews for. The food is insanely incredible, the staff are sweet angels, and you're treated like royalty once you step in the door. The environment is charming and welcoming while not overwhelming, with dimmed lighting and beautiful artwork. I left my phone at home when I went last night but I would have taken a picture of every dish and drink if I'd brought it. The broccolini (and the vinaigrette!) is a must-have, as well as their various breads and the prosciutto. Everyone's meal was a favorite, and the Rosa y rosie drink was divine. We greatly enjoyed our time and will definitely be back!“
“Authenticity at its finest.Incredibly friendly staff with a glaringly obvious expert skill set. Everything here is superb. The dough is light and airy with a crispy underbelly. Textbook mozzarella ratio but the star of the show is their homemade sauce. They should make an extra batch every week just to jar and sell. We would stock up on every visit. The sauce is the soul of the pizza pie. This one is simultaneously deep AND vibrant - a gastronomic spectacle to behold. Also, if I’m not mistaken, they make their own bread for their garlic cheese bread which is equally divine. Can’t ask much more of a pizzeria while remaining on this plane of existence.“
“I had the rigatoni arribiatta which was delicious. My group and I had a really nice time in general, but towards the time that we left it was VERY loud in the restaurant, this was around 7:00pm. It became so loud that I left with a sore throat (not joking) from having to project my voice just to be heard by the person across the table. I did really enjoy my food though.“
“We stumbled upon this place like 15yrs ago and found they have really really good food. They bottle their own salad dressing which is amazing if you like creamy Italian. Pasta good, pizza good. Toasted ravs are fair. Compared to other Stl spots but well worth the drive. We are central Stl so it's an easy 25 drive but again well worth it. And yes we took a bottle to go today.“
“OTITA!!!!! SHE IS AMAZING!!! Went ABOVE AND BEYOND my expectations. Truly. I am a mom and went and had dinner with my 2 yr old and my best friend and her 3 yr old and she catered to us and treated us like family. I appreciate her hardwork and effort to make me feel so welcome and cared for. For fast food this was exceptional and I will be back to see her!! Thank you so so SO much Otita!!!“
“I dont think the salad making lady likes me. She smiles at all the men and facially scowls at me.....lol. Not a friendly gal for sure but, i go there for the food and it cannot b beat. The cashier guy is super nice and friendly too! Praise “
“I ordered the Roasty Toasty for delivery to MoBap Hospital. I work in the medical buildings so it can be tricky to find us...the delivery guy, Nathan, was great! The online ordering process was so easy, and the food was next level! The pesto is bursting with flavor, and the whole pine nuts in the calzone added a great texture!! We are definitely going to order again!“
“We walked in without a reservation while traveling. They found a table for us. It was a very nice table and the service was amazing! They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! The food was great and if ever in St. Louis again, we will be back.“
“The food was excellent. Very well seasoned. The service was spectacular. And each course came out in an expeditious amount of time, such that I never felt like I was waiting between courses. I had the Paloma cocktail and another one called “Cello.” Both savory and delicious. A very well managed establishment.“
“Great food, great portions, great atmosphere!!!! It’s so romantic!!!! I feel like I’m in Italy!!! ??Vegetarian options: There are many options!Parking: There is parking everywhere and even in the garage!Kid-friendliness: My kids love Italian!!! This place is awesome!!!!Wheelchair accessibility: Great place for wheel chairs as well.“
“This is probably my new favorite go to pizza spot. The food is super delicious the people are beyond nice and the prices are super reasonable. In St. Louis people think imos is the in all be all for stl style pizza but this place is the one.“
“Love these subs, as a rule. Kinda spendy, but usually yummy. Today one of our subs had a huge, way too thick slice of salami on it. Thanks for the extra, but way over the top for meat this time. Just do it right and it will be great! Don’t over-do or under-do.“
“Price compared to Olive Garden is the same so, why not come here instead?Food was higher quality. Nice music. Great staff. The best steak medium well I have ever had. The outside had this nice crunch, sides were great. No all you can eat salad but it's ok people better quality main dishes. I can't wait to take my folks here“
“Best unexpected menu item...Rolando's Merry Christmas Chicken Noodle soup. This is not your grandmother's Chicken soup! The soup was a delectable blend of tender chunks of chicken, sweet carrots, Christmas Tree pasta, and celery in a savory broth with melting Parmigiano cheese on top. A palate-pleasing meld of flavors for the soul!“
“We stayed at the Cheshire hotel and were fortunate to have Basso on the premises! We met a friend here the first night of our stay. The restaurant is in the basement. The atmosphere was inviting with gas lit wall lights, a center bar with booths and high tops. Autumn was a wonderful server. She was so pleasant and informative. We really enjoyed having her as our server. Happy hour is from 4 to 6. We tried the fried meatballs, which were great. The lemon ravioli and the shrimp pasta dish were both delicious. Prices were reasonable. When you dine, the food taste and quality are top priority, but when the food is phenomenal and the service and atmosphere are just as good, it makes the experience memorable. We ended up returning on our second night! Julie was our server and we really enjoyed her, too. She was helpful and interested in our satisfaction! We tried the Brussel sprouts, an heirloom salad with delicious bread. Our entrees were the butcher steak and the burger. The steak was wood fired and super tender! The burger was delicious. The fries and shishito peppers were very good. We highly recommend this hidden gem and thank Autumn and Julie for making our stay in St. Louis so memorable! Oh, try the Secret Door specialty drink, a next level Old Fashioned“
“What a fantastic meal! The Del Pietro salad and a glass of wine were the perfect starters for the meal. I ordered the cheese tortellini with mushrooms and peas, and my husband ordered the Spaghetti alla Angela. The pasta was so delicate and just melted in our mouths. The decor was a beautiful mix of traditional and contemporary with wonderful lighting—a very relaxing atmosphere. One of the best pasta meals we've enjoyed lately.“
“Holy cow, this place was awesome. I went with a group of 7 for lunch today. It was slammed with customers but they still got our orders taken and food to us in good time. The lady taking orders was fast and efficient while also being an absolute pleasure to deal with. The rest of the staff was just as good. I got the meatball sandwich and it was truly amazing. I was full when I finished it but still disappointed when it was gone. Overall it was an amazing experience and I can't wait to go back the next time I'm in St. Louis.“
“This was my first time eating here and let me tell you , the food was amazing and the service so kind and friendly. We went for lunch and the lunch prices are so reasonable. You get a starter , entree and beverage all for $13.95. Can’t beat that! I am already planning on going back this weekend. Highly recommended!“
“Massa's is a great old-school St. Louis style Italian restaurant, but a cut above many others in St. Charles County. We've gotten some great options recently and over the years, but Massa's is a staple. I love that they have other menu items that you can't find anywhere else. Their mussels and Parmesan crusted whitefish are two of my absolute favorites. I also love that they add pimento to their house salad although they dress it very heavily so I recommend asking for the dressing on the side. I also would prefer that the bread would come out warm, but it is good bread and they provide real butter. A+ There is a decent sized patio and they allow dogs and smoking so please keep that in mind. The only drawback to the patio is that it sits right in front of the parking lot so you have a great view of cars. LOL!“
“5 stars all around. Great workers, fast hot food which is amazing and very good prices especially when you do a nightly special but regardless the prices are better than most pizza places around. I highly recommend coming here.you won't regret it.“
“What a great experience!! The food was excellent and the service was top notch! Ray is a great server that really describes the dishes and offers great selections. A restaurant doesn't make the address book in my phone if it's not great, this one did!!!!“
“Service was so friendly and efficient! You order and pay at the cashier and then someone brings your food to the table. The ambiance was fine. It's basically a wine shop with a row of tables. Great for a casual lunch. There is a display of sardine cans and such above the kitchen -- very cute! I had the prosciutto sandwich. It was delicious!“
“The staff is very nice, the food doesn't take long to come, the place is very clean and decorated, and the fact that you can add as much sauce that comes in the little cup makes this place amazing. BTW, if you need to know, they have coke products here.“
“Finally was able to try this place and boy was I pleasantly suprised. I ordered my food curbside and the guy bringing it out was extra nice about it literally being .45 seconds pass the estimated time given. The Pepperoni Basil bites were bigger than expected and had the perfect crunch on outside, and they smelled divine. Now I also ordered the Always Sunny and I applaud yall for not calling it a "Philly"something but this calzone passes the Philly Cheese Steak vibe check for sure. However...as the restaurant is so accuratly named, the star here was definitely the sauces on the side. Chilli Pepper Ranch---- *takes virtual bow* just let me know when/ if yall start bottling that one!!! But yeah 10/10 stars for the flavor bombs and pocket of heaven.Would recommend to anyone with tastebuds.“
“There is only one thing you should get when you go here and it is the pistachio ravioli. Not really, because everything here is good, but that pasta is something I always think about. Their wine pours from the staff are good and their gelato is the perfect night cap. The vibe here is always lively.“
“Found this place on Google and it seemed like it’d be good. I think maybe we showed up on a karaoke night. It’s not just a restaurant but also a little store and deli. I really enjoyed the vibe. My food was good. My favorite thing was my cannoli and I’m a little upset with myself for not getting the larger one.“
“Always go for lunch with a friend. No alcohol license but you can bring your own bottle of wine which we do, small fee for service. Lunch menu wide, always opt for upside on salad, theirs the best. Small place but decor fine, server very nice. Can't be bear.Dietary restrictions: Willing to work on changes such as grill vs fried, omit ingredients. Very accommodating.Parking: Small strip mall but at lunch plenty of parking.“
“The Shack is such a fun place to eat breakfast! The atmosphere is lovely and contemporary, the menu is clever, service friendly, and the food is good! I had the corned beef hash and it was divine! Ribbons of salty, tender corned beef draped over crispy hashbrowns and topped with 2 glossy over medium eggs.“
“We used Concetta’s for our reception food in May. Caitlin was amazing throughout the entire process and her communication was great! Our food was incredible at our reception and they had so many options to choose from. Highly recommend Concetta’s for catering!“
“A friend of mine knew I had a birthday coming up and recommended this hidden treasure. He wasn't wrong! The ambiance of the place is so comfortable and refreshing from the moment we walked thru the door! The food was amazing and we stayed a lot longer than our usual quickeat and go. That was because our waitress Mary made us feel special. She had these little candles for the cupcakes my wife gets for me every year! It was such a great night and we have been back several times since then. Always a place that never disappoints 5stars!!“
“Stopped in for a quick appetizer and drink before my flight. I sat at the bar and Maria helped me, she understood I was on a time constraint and food came out fast and was great. I talked to Mike the GM for a bit and I enjoyed the conversation and his passion for the food and restaurant. I will visit next time I'm in “
“The minute you walk in, a fragrant aroma greets you. This was my first time eating there. The prices were excellent and the portions were enough to satisfy. I don't always want a doggy bag. So many restaurants give you way too much food at a higher price. The pizza is excellent and not overpriced.“
“Food came out just like it should. HOT food HAWT and Cold food cold. Everything is made fresh, so make sure you remember that as you are starving. Pizza was fantastic. Don't know why we haven't been back before now. But will definitely won't be the same amount of time before we are back.“
“Peno is one of my favorite restaurants in STL!The service is excellent!! They go above and beyond to make you feel completely welcome and answered my millions of questions about what to order.. they also gave great recommendations (I am indecisive and always ask the expert)!Their food is incredible! You can taste the freshness and that each dish is carefully prepared and crafted with love!My favorite menu staples:- Octopus - this is amazing! Perfect balance of flavors and textures!- Giant Meatballs - whether you order this as an app or get the spaghetti & meatballs, these balls are not to be missed- Gnocchi - do yourself a favor and order this.. they're so good! Between the pillowy soft gnocchi to the house tomato basil sauce, this is a MUST!- Pizza - any of them! I love all the flavors of the Guiseppe but they're all to die for!Peno is great. Stop reading reviews and just go already.“
“The food was excellent! Our party of two ordered one entree from the menu and requested a non-menu entree that was prepared perfectly. The app offerings are well thought-out and range from 'standard' through 'gourmet'. Everything was prepared as requested and served on a timely basis. The dessert selection is rather limited, but the aperitifs will replace any dessert shortcomings very well. And if you are like me and enjoy coffee after dinner, they offer espresso and cappuccino. Entree prices are mostly in the $20 -$30 range as are most comparable restaurants in their geography. The service is top-shelf; our server was Shawn. He was friendly, accommodating, very knowledgeable of menu items, professional and willing to assist should diners want assistance. Shawn is an absolute "Pro"! The ambience is clean, open (tables not jammed against each other) and functional. It's great to not be forced to listen to another table's conversation. If I could offer one suggestion it would be to 'lower the brightness' in the dining room, it has a negative effect on the entire experience. We will become regular customers of Gianfabio's.“
“Was in town w my lady and had heard about the Italian restaurants so gave this one a shot. Definitely gave an upscale feel w the low lighting and tablecloths, the menu items being in Italian also. Would like to come back and try another dish as I think there were better options on the menu. Wait staff was very “
“Was excited to try an STL OG pizza place! The pizza itself was very good but very filling! Great pricing for how much pie you actually get. We brought leftovers home. It is STL style but you can also order the "thicker" option. I preferred the regular thin crust option. The crust was a bit charred for my preference but still good. It came with a garlic dressing which was SUPER garlicky but also very yummy. The atmosphere was very family-pizza-place. Lots of kiddos running around. It was a bit chaotic but that didn't stop our server from being so kind and attentive.“
“Beautiful Italian restaurant with a simple yet elegant menu.Great options, included some not in the menu, can satisfy all palates. Seafood or meat options, risotto or pizza, you will find something you like.Toasted Ravioli was a St.Louis must have. Meatballs were delicious and fork tender. Really can't go wrong with anything here.“
“We had dinner at Bugatti's on Saturday 2/17/24 and it was outstanding from start to finish. I especially want to first recognize our wonderful server Alecia (Alesha? didn't get the spelling of her name unfortunately) She was such a positive, efficient delight and is a valuable asset to the restaurant. We started with charbroiled oysters that were delicious and I then got the wedge salad which was huge and very flavorful. My husband had a filet with Bearnaise sauce and I had the scallops served over peas and mushrooms - omgosh!! The scallops were cooked perfectly and I could have eaten another plate of the peas/mushrooms - very tasty. Hubby's filet was cooked perfectly as well and very flavorful and served with a huge loaded baked potato that he couldn't finish but tasted great. Good wine and ambiance even though they were very busy. By the end of our meal we were chatting with Alecia as if we were old friends and she went out of her way to make our evening memorable. We will definitely be back and hopefully see her again.“
“Everything I've got from here has been fantastic. Usually the gyro w/fries is my go to. But the burger is really good and the wings are a GREAT value. And that seasoning on the fries really make them pop. Overall fantastic and all the ladies are very friendly and inviting. The place could use some work but has improved alot in the past couple years. Love the desert display when I walk in, has got bare mostly because I don't think foot traffic has been that great. So I say, everyone needs to try this place and taste food when someone actually cares about it.“
“We love having Pio’s so close to our house! It really is such a gem in Old Town St. Charles. I am raised by an Italian mother and this restaurant gives the family style, old school Italian restaurant feel. You always feel welcome at Pio’s! My favorite items to order are either the Chicken Parmesan, Lasagna, or Cannelloni.“
“I have eaten pizza here several times, and I can honestly say, I really enjoy Peel Wood fired pizza. I also usually really love to sometimes treat myself to the Woodfired apple pie. Now that pie is DELICIOUS. Unfortunately, on my most recent visit, I ordered my usual Trio Pizza and Woodfired apple pie as carry out. The pizza was delicious as usual. However, my pie was so burned and black. It was stuck to the box! Talk about ticking me off. I was home and comfy by the time I saw how burned it was. This hasn't happened to me before at Peels, so I will give them another try. I'll definitely make sure and check my to go bag from here on out. Give them a try. It is a tasty pizza and desert when prepared correctly.“
“The restaurant is loud, which I suppose is more of a symptom of being in a casino. The service (and our server in particular) was phenomenal. The food was very good and the pomegranate sangrias were on point. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant!“
“Pasta House catered our wedding, and they did an amazing job!!! They made the whole day a breeze! The food was delicious and we had plenty of leftovers!!! My husband and I wanted ice cream for dessert. They placed the order with Ted Drewes, picked it up, and brought it to the venue. They even let my baker bring the cake to them the day of, and they handled it from there. The bar was awesome!! The drinks were delicious and ll the staff from serves to bartenders were so friendly! Our wedding was at the World's Fair Pavillion which has some stricted guidelines/rules which we were worried about. Pasta House took care of all of it and didn't let us worry once about it. They were a dream to work with and I would recommend them to everyone for a delicious and stress free wedding or event!!!“
“I ordered two $4 Senior specials, one lasagna and one spaghetti and meatballs. The meals come with two breadsticks and a choice of a salad or a slice of pizza. The lasagna wasn’t anything special. The spaghetti with meatballs came with two meatballs. I added a side of 3 additional meatballs for $2. The spaghetti I would order again. The portions were smaller but you can’t beat the price. Both salads were fresh and the breadsticks were delicious. My recommendation on the lasagna is add more meat. The ratios didn’t taste right.“
