“Was there on a packed Friday night and yet the service was quick and top flight. The food was superb. The only drawback was the volumn of the place. It was about the noisiest pub I've ever been in. It won't keep me from going back, but I will be more mindful of the time.“

“Hands down best food we had on our entire vacation! Fall-off-the-bone BBQ chicken, best friend catfish I think I've ever had, and OMG you have to try the baked beans!!!!! Fabulous, welcoming, friendly staff and environment. Highly recommend, and will definitely be stopping by every time we pass through St. Louis (we're from Texas, but travel a few times a year).“

“If you thought you knew hot dogs, think again! Steve's Hot Dogs in St. Louis, MO, is where your hot dog dreams come true, and it's nothing short of a five-star culinary adventure! Located in the heart of the city, Steve's Hot Dogs is like a beacon of joy for those in search of a meal that's both comforting and out-of-the-ordinary. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by an atmosphere that's as vibrant as the flavors on offer. It's casual, it's energetic--it's the place to shake off your blues and dig into some seriously good eats. Steve's isn't just slinging your standard dogs; oh no, they are crafting masterpieces tucked neatly into buns. Each hot dog is a hero in its own right, topped with an array of ingredients that turn a simple meal into a feast for the senses. Try the "Gorilla Mac & Cheese Dog," a fan favorite that combines the gooey richness of macaroni with the smoky goodness of a perfectly grilled hot dog, or dare to conquer the "Bacon Bacon Jamaican" with its bold, spicy jerk seasoning and crispy bacon that's as delightful as a sunny day at a St. Louis park. The sides are just as commendable--crispy tater tots and chili cheese fries that are the epitome of comfort food. Each bite feels like a warm hug from an old friend. And let's not forget the service. The team at Steve's treats everyone like a local celeb, with smiles and service so warm you'll want to return before you've even left. In a city packed with dining options, Steve's Hot Dogs stands out as a beacon of culinary creativity and community spirit. Whether you're a hot dog aficionado or just in the mood for a quick, delicious meal, Steve's Hot Dogs is a must-visit. So, rally your friends, bring your appetite, and make your way to Steve's--where every hot dog has its day, and every day is deliciously fun!“

“Can be a little loud when they are busy. Food is good and you get lots, won't leave hungry.Parking: Depending on how busy they are, sometimes parking is not great. Restaurant shares parking with a convenience type store/sandwich shop, and I believe a laundromat around the corner.“

“Great place for a night out with the friends or significant other. Loved the games and the pizza is over the top. Only problem is why don’t they close that damn door when it’s cold outside makes you uncomfortable when you’re walking around feels like I’m still outside when I’m not.“

“I go here every week for trivia and it's amazing all around. The staff is friendly and cool, the food is ALWAYS fantastic (I have an actual fear of mayonnaise but I dip their fries in their house rosemary mayo and it's incredible). The owner is really awesome and the trivia is the best in town. Great vibes! There's a pool table and darts, bathrooms are spacious and clean (and gender inclusive). This is a great spot whether you're here for a beer with your friends or for a delicious dinner. Can't recommend it enough.“

“I would put myself in debt to eat this food, It's so incredible the head chef is brilliant, and the staff from the front of the house to the back make the entire experience a joy. the wild boar and polenta is writing home about worthy, and the tirimisu makes me emotional... the pizza is literally the only pizza in st louis worth eating and I'm from Chicago so I feel like my opinion is extra valid lol. there are a ton of "fancy restaurants" in St. Louis but table cloths and wine selection don't mean crap when the menu of a reasonably priced pizza joint makes your food look like McDonald's by comparison.“
“The basement speakeasy under Grand Spirits had a very eclectic layout and decor and a very chill vibe; minimalistic with great music. A perfect hangout spot. Very few tables, so reservations are needed on weekends for sure. Your reservation gets you about 90 minutes of time on busy weekends; longer if there aren't reservations behind you. Cocktails range from twists on old classics (Manhattan, Daquiri, Sazerac) to very inventive / experimental flavors and textures. We had the Tunnel Vision, Daiquiri, Kitchen Sink, Sazerac among others. We enjoyed everything we had. Service was attentive and informative as well. We did not try the food. Would definitely recommend.“

“Great new spot in the Grove. Fun low key punk vibes with cool murals and art throughout the building. Really nice staff and several vegan options for food. Super Queer friendly with gender neutral bathrooms.“
“Decent venue, bathrooms pretty clean, seating nice. Alcohol is served here. They have metal detectors in use so if you have anything that can be possibly be used as a weapon, leave it in your car or you will have to make a trip back to your car.“

“I stopped in for a visit to see the amazing collection of art and other decorations. I was not disappointed. Everything from the walls to floors to ceiling plus everything else in the cafe was all visually interesting. There were definitely things I liked and some not so much. It's obviously a local hang out where everyone knows each other. While called a cafe, it's a bar. There's no food except some pretzels available. They do serve canned soda for anyone not drinking.I went in the afternoon when they opened. They are also known for their nightly entertainment. On Mondays it's open mic night but the rest of the week brings in a variety of musical groups.“

“Great hamburger and fies. The service was top notch! Great place and layout with great music and a great band. The Stonewheel Band played as we ate and provided great music the rest of the evening. “Always a great experience here. Kit was our server and was great. They've expanded the wine list from our last visit, which was a nice change, but prices have gone up quite a bit as they have everywhere. Their steaks are always fantastic. I'd like to see a few more options for appetizers and sides, but limiting the options probably allow them to focus on making what they offer excellent.“

“I knew the owners of this place. Rose and Tony. My grandma took me down there when I was two. She ran a run down apt complex right next to there. I can’t believe it is still there. Rose and Tony would come to my house for holidays. I will be visiting there soon. It was a nice little dive bar the last time I was there. I worked at the west and cafe. I think rose and Tony were still alive at that point. Like 30 years ago. Love them and I loved this little bar.“
“chill spot for good music & conversation during the week / upbeat fun for all on the weekends / I may even play some bingo one day soon“

“This was our first visit to this restaurant. No wait for a table at 7PM on a Thursday. Nice atmosphere, casual, quiet enough to hold a conversation. Good table spacing. Very pleasant greeting and seating experience. Service was prompt, pleasant, and very knowledgeable. We ordered a salad - split - as a starter and the sirloin steak and pork and dumplings as entrées. Salad was well presented and unique. Nicely chilled. Wine by the glass was excellent. Entrées came out quickly and well presented. House cut steak was thick and perfectly rare, as requested. Delicious! Diced potato, fresh green beans and house made steak sauce surrounding the steak. Pork dish was a complex assembly of ingredients - pulled pork, small dumplings, fennel, sauce with shaved hard cheese topping. Both dishes were delicious and huge portions. Only knock was both dishes were very salty. I have seen this comment before in reviews of this restaurant. I recommend when ordering to ask for less salt. My wife is an acknowledged salt-a-holic and it was a little too much for her. Without the salt dosage this is a 5 star food rating! We will visit again.“
