“I loved everything about this establishment. The only complaint I have is the hostess took a call and proceeded to engage whoever was on the phone leaving use standing without be addressed for several minutes. Aside from that everything else was TOP TIER!!! This is A new favorite spot to dine. Everything we ate was cooked and seasoned to perfection! The service provided by Amanda was phenomenal, she was very attentive and oh so kind. The staff engaged often with the customers making sure all was well throughout the course of dinning. We started with the eggplant and shrimp and grits both were amazingly delicious! Followed by the house salad and bread and then our entrees....I had the Redfish 😋and my daughter chose the Salmon. Both were superb!”

“We went there for an anniversary dinner with no reservation prior to arrival. We were seated immediately and the wait staff was wonderful. We ordered the Beef Tips and Redfish Almondine. Spectacular meal…!!! It was a wonderful experience 👍”

“Pets, unless verified serve animals, were never supposed to be allowed in pelican (per posted signs “no pets allowed due to health dept codes”. Don Getty, prior mgr never enforced that rule jeopardizing the operation of the entire restaurant! I’ve seen monkies, chinchillas , and dozens of dogs illegally allowed in by don….. again, the health department could have closed pelican down for this!!! Don didn’t enforce any of the rules. New mgt does… we love Adrian!!!”

“The restaurant is very cozy. Yia Yia and Papou always come out of the kitchen and greet their guests. They truly treat you like family. I came alone today. Usually come here with my husband. I started with a cup of soup of the day, had the roasted chicken with lemon potatoes as entree, and finished with a slice of lemoncello cake with coffee. I’ve been in the hospitality industry for 30 yrs. Dined all of this wonderful country. Yia Yai’s has become one of my top 5 places to dine. Service is impeccable and the cuisine is so authentic and on point. It’s cold outside so it was a hard decision to make over choosing the roasted chicken or the Moussaka that has a hint of cinnamon in the sauce. Sat in the back booth and throughly enjoyed my lunch. Thank you to all the staff at Yia Yia’s for bringing such an incredible environment to the Flowood area!”

The food was freshly made and the flavor was beyond any expectation we could have imagined. Take it from someone who has dined in more than 25 foreign countries and all over the USA, this place has the ABSOLUTE best central and south American food in the state of MS, and possibly the entire south! 100% recommend without any reservations at all.. **NOTE, do not go here if you are an atmosphere snob! It is very much relaxed, and family centered with wonderful people running it. It is similar to an old country store with some tables and chairs. Try the Pupusas and the Jimaica tea, (hibuscus flower tea). you will not be disappointed in the flavors or the genuine people running this place.”

Bulldog Burger nails the smash burger game with crispy edges, juicy middle, perfectly messy. The sweet potato fries? Addictive. Fried pickles? Gone before I could share.

Service was quick and friendly (our kids were actually happy, which says a lot). The outdoor seating has TVs for the games, so it’s basically the ideal low-stress dinner spot for parents trying to survive the weekend.

It’s a little pricey for what it is, but you can taste the quality. Worth it when you want that “we’re not cooking tonight” kind of night.”

“I ordered a cake and chocolate covered strawberries for a baby shower on April 12, 2025. The cake was so beautiful, and the taste was just as great!! Unfortunately, I personally was not able to take pictures of the cake. Along with her establishment, Chanel was very sweet and kind, adding to the warmth felt from her establishment which is beautifully decorated. I will definitely be ordering cakes from her, especially other sweets from the great variety she offers!

I was greeted promptly and offered a seat at the bar, and while I didn't order any special drinks, the bartender was very nice and made sure I had enough water to drink.
I ordered the Broken Egg Biscuit, which was the right choice - a delicious biscuit that exceeded expectations. I highly recommend this location.”

I’m not sure why every sushi restaurant in this city needs to add cucumber or avocado to every roll in some way… don’t fight me, but I don’t believe it’s necessary. “Great experience overall ! Fantastic pizza and desserts. Most of all, great staff!! Tonight I ordered online and I was three hrs late picking it up. I called otw to get it to make sure they still had it. They said yes…when I got there 15 min later, they were finishing it up. They had RE-MADE everything! This was so thoughtful even though it was my fault entirely- the lady said, “don’t worry about it-It’s just better fresh and hot”- And she was right!! So delicious. I’ll definitely be back!! “I was driving my way into Mississippi to visit family and my sister asked me to pick up a cake, I randomly stumbled across this bakery because it was open late and it was on my way to her house. There were only a couple cakes left of the day and I was helped by the sweetest ladies and gentleman that could speak a little English. I Honestly thought the cakes that were displayed were fake because they were so beautiful and perfect. We celebrated his Birthday that night and it was the best cake I have EVER HAD!! PS, this is not a regular donut; a mochi donut base is typically made with glutinous rice flour and tapioca starch.”

I even suggested the Olivia's Old South to another soon to be customer of Chicken Salad Chick. She tried another kind but liked Olivia's Old South better. It was just sweet enough for her.”

Sitting outside and enjoying a meal, I will definitely be back! Less than 50 dollars to feed three people and we are so stuffed we won’t need to eat again today. It was more than worth it!”

“Honestly, I like Subway. I like the customization and the amount of fresh vegetables I can stack on a sandwich without getting charged extra. That said, when I typically go to one I'm either pleased or disappointed because Subway franchises are notoriously inconsistent, even as a single store. Yet I have never been disappointed coming to this one. I work nearby so I come here often because it's a relatively decent meal for not a terrible price, and the staff knew exactly how I wanted my sandwiches within just a couple of days. That's a level of service I don't get very often, which is awesome. They're always very nice and they do a great job. I will definitely be returning, and I'm very glad to buy sandwiches from this franchise.”

“My husband and I came from Memphis Tennessee to a dogshow in Jackson MS. We ran errands and Sante Fe Grill popped up. The food was delicious and service was excellent. I told my hubby I hadn’t had the great of food in Memphis. Very much worth it!”

“Food was really good. Especially the chips. Our waitress was really good but when a large party came in, it took the bars attention so took about 15 minutes for some refills. It’s understandable though and nothing we were mad about. The fajitas were also really good and I have never been asked how I wanted my steak cooked for fajitas. Will be back for sure.”
