“We went there for an anniversary dinner with no reservation prior to arrival. We were seated immediately and the wait staff was wonderful. We ordered the Beef Tips and Redfish Almondine. Spectacular meal…!!! It was a wonderful experience 👍”

“On May 25th we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. The food and atmosphere was very nice. I will definitely go back but I do not want Adam as my waiter ever again. The issue that I have with Adam as our waiter is this. When he passed by our table my husband put his finger up letting him know that we needed him. He brushed my husband off and told him that he would be back and he went on to other tables. When he finally came back through he didn’t stop like he said he would he passed by our table and went to another table. At first I was like ok but it kept happening. And every time Adam passed by he looked right at me in my eyes. So now we’re ready to go so we’re waiting and waiting because he told us that he would be back. Well when he came back he passed us up again and eventually my husband had to stop him and give him the check. We gave him our payment with a $20 tip but at first I wasn’t going to leave one but I said no I’m gonna do what’s right. But now I regret even leaving it. After he walked off we waited and waited and I noticed him walking to another table he looked me right in my eyes. And my thought process was like ok we gave him the money now clear us out so we can go. Another waiter walked by because he noticed me looking for our waiter we told him what was going on and we asked him if he can let Adam know to please give us our receipt. Adam then walked straight from the table where the other customer was and gave us our receipt. I thought to myself he had it on him all this time why did he let us wait this long to give us the receipt we could’ve been gone? I was going to make a complaint when I walked out but I was like no I’m going to write a review because I was ready to go because I was very irritated at this point.”

“last day in town and i thought i needed to treat myself. Was craving sea food and this place poped up close to my stay.. the moment i walked in i was greeted with a happy Friendly smile by the host. Seated quickly.. greeted by all the staff as i walked to my table with the host..the general manager was cleaning a table helping his crew and spoke to me in a welcoming greeting manor! With in 3min of being in the building everyone had turned my bad day grumpy mood upside down! The food is amazing fast fresh delivery to the table! Amazing atmosphere! I will 100% be coming back and sending friends here!”

“We have celebrated many special occasions and hosted company Christmas parties at Tico’s over the years, and the service and food are always top notch. Tonight, we brought our two teenagers to celebrate the end of the school year and we were blown away by our server, Gabrielle. She went above and beyond with her hospitality and service! The food was delicious as always, but Gabrielle was the most memorable part of this meal! The world needs more people like her!”

“Pets, unless verified serve animals, were never supposed to be allowed in pelican (per posted signs “no pets allowed due to health dept codes”. Don Getty, prior mgr never enforced that rule jeopardizing the operation of the entire restaurant! I’ve seen monkies, chinchillas , and dozens of dogs illegally allowed in by don….. again, the health department could have closed pelican down for this!!! Don didn’t enforce any of the rules. New mgt does… we love Adrian!!!”

Some favorites: Hamburger steak with onion gravy, fried green tomatoes & comeback dressing, fried okra, best chicken tenders, onion rings. Also great BBQ ribs, hamburgers & fries. Very accommodating to families and groups like my 1967 high school class.”

“I finally tried it, and it was worth the wait. I had the chicken hibachi with veggies. The chicken was good and seasoned nicely. The fried rice is the best I've had in the metro. I will try other items in the future. Service was excellent, and the food was prepared pretty quickly. It is a little pricier than most hibachi places in the metro, but it is better. “A few of my coworkers go here 2-3 times a week for lunch. I kept hearing good things so I gave it a try for dinner one Sunday. OMG!!! I had been missing out for real. The food is so good and the portions are HUGE! I couldn’t hardly decide what to get as my first meal. Now, I can’t wait to try more on the menu. This will definitely be one of my regular places for a good meal. The service was on point as well. The staff was friendly and I paid by card, and was even addressed by name when wishing me a good day as I was leaving…very nice touch.”

“If Zeus ever threw down his thunderbolt and swapped it for a taco, it would definitely be a Taco de Birria. These tacos are so good, they could bring world peace. I took one bite and suddenly forgot all my life problems—student loans? Gone. Taxes? Who cares! All I needed was more tacos.

The birria is so tender, it's like they marinated it in unicorn tears and cooked it over the flames of a thousand phoenixes. The consomé? Oh, that’s the nectar of the taco gods. Dunk your taco in it, and you might as well be diving into a pool of pure bliss.

These tacos are the reason I wake up in the morning. They should come with a warning label: "May cause spontaneous dancing, excessive joy, and the uncontrollable urge to shout '¡Viva la Birria!' in public."

In conclusion, if you haven’t tried Tacos de Birria yet, your life is incomplete. Go now, and prepare to have your taste buds serenaded by the Mariachi band of flavor. 5 stars, because there aren’t enough stars in the universe to truly capture how amazing these are. ?”

“I was driving my way into Mississippi to visit family and my sister asked me to pick up a cake, I randomly stumbled across this bakery because it was open late and it was on my way to her house. There were only a couple cakes left of the day and I was helped by the sweetest ladies and gentleman that could speak a little English. I Honestly thought the cakes that were displayed were fake because they were so beautiful and perfect. We celebrated his Birthday that night and it was the best cake I have EVER HAD!! If I lived closer I would be there all the time! I recommend my whole family! Thank you guys for making my nephews birthday yummy!”

I had the Sassy Scotty the first time and decided second time to get a scoop of it plus the Fruity Fran. Both are fantastic. The quality is consistent in both times I had the Sassy Scotty. Fruity Fran had the perfect mix to get the right amount fruit and chicken in each bite. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it doesn't go unnoticed by my family. 10,000,000/10, highly recommend.

“Classic experience. Nicest people. The food was tasty. However my only complaint was that my Catfish plate got me 2 wafer thin, smallish filets. By the time you eat the hush puppies and sides, you're full. Lovely views of the Rez.”
