“Great food but they need more waitress staff on duty. Never did get a drink refill or even asked if I needed more. Loved the food but waitress staff is stretched thin.”
“First time in Burnsville for a trip and tried out this shop. The workers there were all so nice and helpful. They’ll give you a number to take upstairs with you to the dining area. The coffee and food was delicious. I’ve already been to the shop with my sister 3 days straight just for the coffee and cinnamon rolls.Kid-friendliness: They do have a kids menu.”
“I find any excuse possible to eat here when I'm in Burnsville. The drinks, menu, and the walls/ whole place is superior to any place around here. Service is really good or really slow depending on how many people they have working, that's it's only fault I can come up with. Cool history of the name, also.I'm definitely trying the Category 5 next time, and I hope it's like the Lt. Dan vs the ocean hurricane scene.”
“Absolutely delightful! Pizza was delicious, we ordered 4! The beer was cold and the service was great. May, the bartender helped us through the menu bc you order at the bar and they bring you the food to your table marked with a number they give you. We saw the PBS special they did on the place and just had to go. The space is so nice and they have a huge stage outside and even a small stage inside. We went around 2:30 so it wasn't too busy. The entire venue was great. Go here and support local baby!”
“Saw this place after three hours on the road and glad we stopped. Sign was in a cutesy font that I read as Carson Daly, so I knew I was in for a treat. Solid food, a little on the higher price point, and coleslaw comes with everything if that's your thing. But so do pickle spears, so I can forgive that transgression. FYI Pepsi products (ew). Standard kids menu. Really cool patio with bramble and vine growing over a wooden shady pergola. Laid back patio and the weather was tip top. Ample, close parking right on the square. Waitresses look like they've been there since day one.Kid-friendliness: Gumball machines out the wazoo.”
“Great food truck!! The food was absolutely delicious. We stopped expecting just tacos, but the menu has a bunch of different foods. We did get tacos and they can out in a good time and where hot! The flavors were great! The green sauce is a mild spice and the habanero sauce is hot but the flavor is so good! We are excited to stop by again soon!”
“Just had one of the best sandwiches of my life!!! They call it a wedgie... I call it absolutely delicious!!! Friendly, helpful, and fast employees!!! The picture is only of half of the sandwich because it was so awesome that I ate half of it before I took the pic!!!”
“But Mexican food in Burnsville hands down! Salsa, and service with the warm inside, and cozy, open concept, outdoor seating, perfect for families, and pup's. Each dish is traditional and quality portioned. I can't recommend this Mexican seafood grill enough!”
“Little Tokyo is a splendid little joint that serves Chinese food pretending to be Japanese food. It is nestled in a lovely strip mall next to a Roses, a Burger King, and a Sav-Mor grocery, which gives it a touch of class. The restaurant is simple and cozy, with just a few tables, a calendar, and a counter open to the kitchen. The staff are polite and swift, and the food is served in copious portions. The menu features a variety of dishes, from hibachi to sesame chicken to hot and sour soup. The prices are moderate, and the health score is 91 out of 100, which is admirable for a place that claims to be Japanese but is actually Chinese. The food is quite agreeable, if you enjoy steamed rice with soy sauce, sugary orange chicken, and crisp vegetables with tangy sauce. The hot and sour soup is especially good, as it has a pleasant contrast of flavours and textures. The hibachi is also satisfying, as it has a nice mix of meat and vegetables with a savoury sauce. The sesame chicken and the orange chicken are both delicious, as they are sweet and tender, and have a crunchy coating.Little Tokyo is an excellent place to eat if you are in Burnsville and have a fancy for Chinese food masquerading as Japanese food. It is authentic enough to fool your taste buds, and tasty enough to please your stomach. It is a place to impress your date or celebrate a special occasion, as it is romantic and festive. It is a place to praise or recommend to your friends, as it is unique and memorable. It is a place to remember or revisit, as it is wonderful and addictive.”
“The pizza was great. We loved the crust. The veggie and pepperoni were delicious. The pesto artichoke was good but very greasy. The nachos were just OK. They definitely needed more cheese and possibly better chips. We would definitely go back.”
“Had the Rueben sandwich and was delighted with it! The waitress was incredibly sweet and kind. I will say the atmosphere gave “haven’t been updated in decades” vibes but that was what we were looking for that day. Overall good place for simple comfort foods.”
“When I go here, I get the toasted Italian herb with turkey, American cheese, with pickles, black olives, and mayonnaise, it is always so good. The staff was nice and they made the food fast.”
“Authentic Mexican cuisine, everything is yummy! Wait Staff are friendly, fast, and are pros in their craft.Vegetarian options: Food is fresh and, tasty you can depend on itWheelchair accessibility: Owners are professionals, know what customers like and easy access”
“Quite literally the only place serving food for miles outside of gas station pizza and boiled peanuts. Don't let that deter you, we had some of the most delicious food of our entire trip to the mountains. Nestled on the fairway side of Mt. Mitchell Golf Club clubhouse, the views of the aforementioned mountain are spectacular. Giant windows frame up all the peaks and rolling clouds, it truly is a delight for a golf clubhouse. Sandwiches galore and even a BYO pizza option all at the ready at lunchtime. The food was fresh, the fries deliciously battered and golden. The burger had a deep umami flat top smash/maillard/char thing happening. Both my daughter and I agreed it was one of the simplest, best tasting burgers in recent memory. The pizza was enormous, dwarfing the nine year-old attempting to eat it. The Mrs. had a jalapeño pimento cheese sandwich with many compliments on the side. Our waitress even flipped the TV from Golf Channel talking heads to a kids channel showing Scooby Doo to keep the young ones entertained. Good stuff. A Titleist in the rough. Most deserving of a lunchtime green jacket.Kid-friendliness: Hate watching old dudes talk about golf? They'll change the TV to Scooby Doo, no problemo. Ruh-roh, Raggy!”
