“Outside patio area very nice and shady. The waitress excellent. I grew up in Wisconsin where Swiss Cheese on Rye a staple. I was suprised to find grilled on the menu and it was very good. My husband had the Pastrami on rye and said excellent. We will return!“
“Don’t worry ! You can drive almost to the summit ❣️ interactive museum and gift shop both are worth stopping in. You could spend hours in the museum with so much information about North Carolina’s tallest mountain. The gift shop husband and wife team were the most helpful on a cold day, they didn’t stop till we found a hoodie for a cold hiker. Thank you! The snack and sandwich bar was manned by the owner of our campsite! (Surprise)It’s a short walk to the summit and the views are worth it.❣️“

UPDATE: have already been back, and it's SO worth the long drive from Leicester. Hope, once HWY 55 opens in Weaverville the new staff there will get the same training. Staff here is AWESOME.“

We pulled in because the number of cars in the parking lot made us think the food had to be good. We were not disappointed.“
“It was the off season so there was a limit menu which we weren't aware of, we were the only table in the restaurant. we were from out of town and had never been there before so we made reservations, not knowing it would be so slow, but the serve/bartender had a table set aside with a black linen tablecloth and decorative napkins. there were only a few people eating and drinking at the bar, but she did a great job and was very attentive. The next time we stay in the area we will definitely stop here again.“
“Happened upon Bubba's coming back from the Glenn & Carol Arthur Planetarium and stopped with the family to eat. Great food and atmosphere. Even met local celebrity Mike Holt who is 81 years young and has his own table with a picture of him and a plaque. He eats here every day so that ought to tell you something. It's that kind of place. Everyone loved the food from my chili dog to the BBQ and chicken tenders. Great folks. Check 'em out Y'all-Parking: Parking lot around building. Shared area. “We had a great meal at Lee’s. There are so many good options we got several items to try and carried out what we could not eat. The strawberry cake was delicious.Staff was friendly and fast even though it was packed.We will return when in the area.“

I regret not getting a piece of the red velvet cheesecake, it looked to die for. Apparently they don't have it often, so take advantage if you are so fortunate! (visited a week ago)“
“We stopped in for lunch and ordered chopped steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was good, the hamburger was medium and the mashed potatoes were great. We also ordered a burger, that was good with French fries. We also ordered the triple decker sandwich and tater tots all was good. The best was the milk shake. Vanilla with Oreos, chocolate syrup and whipped cream. Prices were great and if we are in the area again we will stop by! Thank you!“
“Heard good things, decided to stop in on our way to Hot Springs last week. I am so glad we did. Got the meat sampler platter. Everything was juicy. The pork belly appetizer was addictive. So we decided toStop on the way down to HotSprings today 3/19/24. Decided to try the trio. Cause I wanted the brisket again and wanted to try the ribs. Both so juicy and delicious. We still have some of the bbq kicker sauce for the leftovers! And the onion rings and banana pudding was amazing. I don't live to far. Will be back at least once a week ?“
