“Salad bar is awesome, don't miss the baked potatoes! Understand that everywhere is short staffed these days, so expect kind, helpful, slow-service. We were there 2 hours total, we probably waited 20-30 mins to be seated then about an hour for food to come out for a party of 8. They're doing their best with what they have. We'd go back when in town again.“

“This was the best meal/experience I have had in quite some time, possibly ever. We were lucky enough to dine in the cellar and have Sadie as our server. I want to express my gratitude to the chef, staff, and Manager, Jeff who made this a night to remember. Highly recommend the ribeye caps, lamb, and all of the first courses. Bring a big group and share everything! Make sure you request Sadie as your server, her recommendations were spot on.“

“First time at Stonewalls. Colton was my server. He provided excellent service. A coworker recommended them for the Prime rib. I tried it along with bake potato. I was throughly happy with the whole experience. I will definitely be back with my husband.“

“Me and my friend visited this restaurant for dinner today after visiting the Linville falls area today and we were amazingly impressed by the staff and food we got. The hostess was so sweet coming into and leaving the restaurant. They truly made us feel like we were at home and like family even though it was our first time visiting. Our waitress was phenomenal. She was warm, kind, and personable. She personally thanked us for choosing their restaurant over others in the area, and by how great the food was we were very glad to. We started out with the peel and eat shrimp and poutine. Both of which were greatly portioned and delicious. My friend got the grilled trout with potato cakes and collard greens which he claimed were all amazing. I don’t even like fish and the trout was delicious and the potato cakes were amazing. I got the Tin Trout burger with homemade chips and my burger was delicious and fresh and my chips were better than any restaurant I’ve had, all of them were crispy and fried to perfection no soft ends or anything. Then thanks to our waitresses recommendations for dessert we got the Gooey butter cake with ice cream and the Lemon berry mascarpone which were both delicious and amazing. I usually can never finish all my food at a restaurant much less as much food as we ordered, but with the quality of food we had I couldn’t let one bite go to waste, or in a Togo box. I visited the restroom while there which was incredibly clean, smelled great, and pretty posh to say the least. I wish we would’ve taken pictures but our phones were low and tummy’s couldn’t wait. We are from over 3 hours away near Chapel Hill, and we will be making the drive back up there soon just for the food. Thank you all. Highly recommended.“

“We had a great wine with an exceptional meal. You will have an excellent meal served by a wait person who is happy you are there. Pork tenderloin was great, according to my husband. The pasta of the day was great & the upside down pineapple cake with buttermilk ice cream was an awesome way to top off an outstanding experience,“

“The location was convenient for us and the food was okay but not particularly memorable. Somehow I missed the grand view. Maybe they had the misfortune of having a neighbor put up a building in the middle of the view which had given the restaurant its name. Also, I've never gotten toast at a restaurant and only gotten one slice of bread. It's the cheapest and simplest thing to get as a breakfast item add on or part of an entree and I've always gotten two slices.“

“Besides the fact that they have the best burgers both beef and veggie, they have a lunch special every day. Absolutely delicious. And don't worry about it being in a pool hall. The owner, Chris, is always there. No smoking, no drinking, no cussing and be careful with the first class equipment. Plus you can eat with your dog on the nice porch.“

“My husband and I have ordered takeout from Carolina Pizza multiple times now and it is amazing every time. I'm not one for reviews but this place absolutely deserves it! “We visit beech mountain every year. We love the grocery store - it has everything we need during our stay and absolutely love their deli. The food is awesome, the service is great, prices are reasonable. Can't wait to go back next year.“

“Delicious barbecue with a great selection of sauces. The sauces are all custom made and were created to go with the different types of smoked meats they offer. From the porch or around the building is a great view of Grandfather Mountain and Beech Mountain. The staff was very friendly, food was fast, and the atmosphere was cozy. Lots of other options (such as sandwiches and burgers) to try at another time!“

“I like the seating outside on the patio. Our server was friendly and efficient I had the turkey croissant and could only eat half. The pasta salad was excellent for a side. My partner had the French dip and the seasoning on the fries was really good. Very enjoyable meal“

“We've visited here several times over the past two years. Our most recent trip to the cabin we visited here twice...both times for lunch and we didn't get the same experience. The first day of lunch was so wonderful. The service was beyond wonderful. There is a menu and you can also order the Salad Bar and there is a Pizza buffet. The prices are what is so amazing here. Great country cooking at even better prices. Our son's pizza buffet I think was $8 or something like that which we thought was great. He only eats cheese pizza and they brought one out almost immediately so he was happy. I ordered the 3 vegetables with bread and it came out with a delicious parker house type roll and the veggies were just really great. My son absolutely loved his pizza. The woman waiting on us was so on top of things and kind that she really made this entire experience for us. For our family of 3 we were so happy with the prices, food and service that we knew we would be back during our trip. A few days later we decided lets go again for lunch and grab a pizza to go for dinner later on! Wow was this experience different. We were seated right away but didn't get drinks for about 20 minutes. Then our server (who we think might have been the owner as she had a lot of things on her to dos) finally came back 15 minutes later to get our orders. I decided to keep it simple b/c I was hungry and ready to eat by this time. I ordered the salad bar this time so I could go right up. My husband ordered a lunch and salad bar. Our son (surprise lol) ordered the pizza buffet. There wasn't any pizza up when he ordered so he hung out while we got our salads. 25 minutes later 1 pizza was delivered to the buffet with about 4 people waiting to grab a slice. Another was delivered about 15 minutes later and then we didn't see any more. We had already told the server that we were going to order a pizza to go as well but after we finished all of our food she still had not come back over to the table. Empty drinks sat as did we for another 15 - 20 minutes. I even called to see if we could just order a to go from our table but the phone just rang and rang. Finally she came back, we placed our order, paid our tab and then waited another 15 minutes for the pizza. It was a long lunch for a 10 year old and two disappointed parents who just wanted to leave. After such a great experience the first day and totally different just days later I almost didn't write a review. But I feel like the 2nd visit just couldn't be the norm currently. We've visited so many other times for breakfast and lunch in the past and all of those visits really were like our first on this trip. So for that reason I'm sticking to a 4 star review (if I just based it off the first lunch I would have given them a 5 star all day). I wish I knew the servers name b/c she was just amazing and so kind.“
