“After competing in a race at a nearby track we were trying to find a place to eat dinner that could accommodate our group as well as our race car hauler. Skippers has an enormous parking area and the staff were not at all intimidated by our large group. There was 11 of us and they walked us right in and to a table. The service was very attentive and friendly. Now for the food...we had onion rings, mozzarella sticks and hush puppies to start. All were very good and I have to say the hush puppies were some of the best anywhere. Moist and sweet and literally never-ending. When our entrees came out we were all blown away by the amount of food on each plate. Any one of them could have easily fed two people, and the food was fantastic. Being from a coastal city in VA I was impressed both by the quality as well as the quantity of food. Felt like a meal at grandma's house on the weekends from childhood. When we come back to race and other teams ask where's the best place to eat I will recommend Skippers!!!Parking: My race rig is 80ft long and pivots in the middle so turning is horrible, the parking lot is huge. Easy to get in and out in anything, from tractor trailers to RV's“
“The food here is amazing, don't let the faded interior fool you. The line at the drive through and at the counter should tell you all you need to know. My only knock would be the country-ham biscuit I got was a little light on ham but it was fresh and tasty. Otherwise the pancakes are a massive hit with my kids as are the cinnamon roll bites (think fair food). It's worth taking a little detour for biscuit king“
