“I'm really surprised that I have not written a review on Hops. I was just recently there for lunch and expected to see my review after a few prior lunches. I must remedy immediately! No doubt in my mind, they have consistently earned a five star in my book.My go to our their burgers and sweet potato fries with a local craft brew. My most recent visit I tried a special on the menu. It didn't hit as well as others, but still based on other offerings I love them.A combination of strong service and delicious burgers and fries makes this an easy five star pull for me. They have two locations in town, the original and this one. They also have at least one location that's outside the area. However, keep in mind they are a local business.Parking: Off peak times plenty. On peak challenging.Kid-friendliness: High chairs available“
“Israel at Gate City Growlers went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed when I got my keg. His exceptional service and dedication made my experience truly outstanding.Israel's commitment to customer satisfaction shines through in every aspect of the service provided at Gate City Growlers, making it a top choice for beer enthusiasts“
“Such a hidden gem! Little did we know driving by this area over the last few years that a perfect vibe was hiding in plain sight. Walking into Craft City you're immediately in awe. The beer offering is phenomenal.. not only a great draft selection, but a plethora of coolers filled with every type of beer and cider you could possibly imagine. This visit we remedied our alcohol fix with a trio of drafts (blood orange wheat, gingers revenge, strawberry pineapple cider) and their special, coconut margarita -- which was very, very delightful. Craft City is spacious, providing some additional seating out front facing New Garden and some tables along the side of the building. So many TVs to catch all the big events. They offer many beer options to take home and enjoy, as well as some pretty cool swag to purchase and rep. We'll be back, Craft City. Pinky promise!“
“Such a cute little bar next to The Idiot Box! Great place for pre or post show drinks or just a spot to hang out. Great local beer selections with many different styles for everyone to enjoy! I recently had a few pernicious IPAs and they were super hoppy and fresh. If beer isn't your thing, there are so many types of wine and seltzers to enjoy!“
“I stopped in today in the late afternoon. There was someone leaving with a bag of food and asked if they had been there before, and the woman praised the establishment, though did say that sometimes food was a little slow coming out of the kitchen, depending on how busy they were. Duly noted. In I went! The main bar area was almost completely empty. The place has a dark, cozy feel. That comfortable neighborhood bar feel. Not the commercialized kind you find at a chain, the classic sense of one. I can't explain it better than that. They have four TVs up behind the bar, most were showing sports related content, one had on a made-for-TV movie that made me think it might have been the Hallmark channel? I'm not a sports guy, so I spent most of my meal either looking at the smaller screen which was scrolling pictures from their Halloween party, or reading the Captions on the TV movie. The Halloween party scroller adds to that sense that this is a friendly neighborhood staple, and the staff here take pride in being part of the community. For being a smaller bar, they have done a nice job at curating their spirits list. They have some of the typical "well" brands, a couple of common middle-shelf items, and a few surprises on there that were also priced lower than I'd found at other places. Even more surprising is that some of them were still in stock! The bartender (Kat) was very efficient and welcoming, she gave me her feedback on her favorites from the menu. When two other gentlemen came in and seated not far from me, she asked them if they were going to be getting lunch, so she could put their orders in ahead of the orders of a large party in an adjacent room. I thought this was pretty thoughtful of her, as the large party was likely in no hurry, but these two guys were in suits and might have needed to watch the clock.I had the Rueben, with onion rings, and I also ordered a side of cheese curds. The sandwich was excellent for the price point. Next time I might ask what the upcharge is to get extra meat. No complaints on the value as it stood. The onion rings were very good. I meant to ask if they make them or get them in frozen, but I forgot. They came with a side of a tangy, slightly spicy (Jalepeno?) sauce. At first I thought it was extra Thousand Island dressing by the color, but it was closer to "Bang Bang" sauce (typically found with a shrimp dish at other places). The cheese curds were... okay. They were fried a little too long, so many of them started to explode, clumping together, and the breading burned in places. They came with an herbed aoli that was pretty good. I think that might go much better with fries or maybe even on a burger. They have some neat sounding twists on their burgers, and have monthly burger specials. Next time I go, I will probably try one of the burgers.“
“Taylor took good care of us. The food is wonderful and tastes so good. Music was nice and not too loud. As we walked out everyone is talking to us and saying have a good day and please come back. Even the men at the bar were nice and saying hello Queens… please come back lol ☺️. People are just friendly because the environment is friendly. Drinks were good and not weak. Thanks for a good time. Ladies outing was good.“
“Went here awhile ago very nice atmosphere and the food was delicious. This place is actually the old Moses Cone textile factory they reinvented this into an apartment complex and has eatery restaurants. Please call ahead to reserve your seating and be on time!Parking: For wheelchair or ambulatory issues there isn’t a lot of parking spaces accessibility. This is one reason I gave it 4 starsWheelchair accessibility: Only a few spaces I mean a few a longer walk for people with ambulatory issues“
“We are frequent customers, since my husband and I like seafood. Regularly the waiter service is good but when Sandra serves us it is excellent, because she is very friendly and very attentive. And if you come on your birthday they celebrate you by bringing you a slice of cake with a beautiful candle!!“
“First time here and loved everything about it. My wife and I stopped in for a relaxing afternoon and were greeted by friendly staff. She knew we were first timers and made us feel welcome. She even remembered our names even though the place was almost full. The beer and wine selection was second to none. They had 20+ craft brews on tap the day we came, and in addition, a huge assortment of canned beers from craft and micro-breweries found around the state and beyond. The place was modern and eclectic with a relaxed atmosphere. Great space both indoors and out. Kids and pets are welcome. The people we met were also very friendly and welcoming. They also have weekly events ranging from live music and trivia, to a run club and everything in between. We will definitely be back!“
“We meet some family at the Hop's location downtown. The food was great, and the service was top-notch. Hop's restaurant was awesome, and there was a great atmosphere. The menu has a variety of options to choose from, burgers, chicken wings, and pulled pork bbq. What an awesome place to eat at in Greensboro.Parking: Parking is across the street from the restaurant, behind some other businesses and shops.Wheelchair accessibility: Hop's has a ramp into the front door. I didn't see any steps at this location. Handicap parking is near the front door.“
