“Holy schmoly, this is the best vegan restaurant I've ever been to! They cook to order and do their best to accommodate your dining experience. Everybody there took pride in their service and food! A very refreshing and delectable vegan venue!!I do wish they would consider expanding to the northeast ?.Vegetarian options: Menu is entirely vegan yet even a carnivore would not be able to discern that everything is vegan. You literally can't go wrong with anything you order!Dietary restrictions: If you have a dietary restriction, simply let the staff know and they will accommodate your needs.Parking: Easy parking !!Kid-friendliness: Kids, adolescents, teens, young adults, adults .. friendly to one and all!Wheelchair accessibility: I honestly did not notice however I'm certain the staff will adjust seating for anyone with any physical impediments.“

“I am a Greensboro fan with so many good local eateries to choose from. Freemason Grub & Pub is no exception. The signage is challenging in the dark, but the exterior green lights likely leftover from St. Patty's helped identify them. It's an adorable two story brick with wonderful character. Parking is off street or in their own small lot in the rear.My wife and I cut our arrival a bit close after 830 with a weekday closure of 9. The interior offers a cozy vibe with wood floors, exposed brick and dimly lit dining room . The bourbon bar is the centerpiece. With closing in 20 minutes the restaurant was mostly empty. Our friendly waitress Bella was on top of drink orders. I ordered an Old Fashioned utilizing Makers bourbon with a banana flavor profile. It proved to be outstanding @ $14. Bella encouraged us to try their bbq which they are known for, we ended up both getting the Cherrywood Brisket. My wife with side of Cesar and me side of cup of chili for $1 up charge. The recommendations really made the difference.Bella brought the food out within 15 minutes. Temperatures were correct. The brisket was magnificent. Tender with fat to meat ratio. The house sauce was perfect with a slight kick. The cup of chili was yum with Navy Bean and frito corn chips on top that was unusual. My wife agreed with my assessment on the brisket and her salad was fresh. We finished out splitting a butterfinger pie which was good size for the share. It proved to be mighty tasty and not a crumb was left. Our bill was brought to us in a timely fashion to close out. Since we were out of town Bella suggested a few other local places. I would recommend Freemason and who knows may return this week.Parking: Parking in rear“

“I ate there 2x, for dinner I had chicken fried steak mashed potatoes, green beans, banana pudding with the best vanilla shake I have ever had, my waitress was so wonderful I went back for breakfast I made a phone order to go with a tall mid age woman she was sweet on the phone and in person I had a smash burger, chips and sweat tea, I forgot the tea and had to go back in just to meet the worse waitress this place has she was dumb as a box of rocks. I told her I didn't receive my tea the receipt was in her face on the bag but she was so into the tablet she ignored me until the nice waitress was passing then she start saying I DIDN'T KNOW. How dummy? I just told you and the receipt is right here. She need to be cleaning bathrooms and parking lots customer service is not her thing.Parking: I was in a big rig and had space to park in a lot next to the diner“

“My husband and I decided to check out Machete for our anniversary! We had such an awesome experience! We were seated quickly with our reservation. Our server, Cameron, was AWESOME! We had noted my alpha-gal allergy on the reservation and Cameron came prepared with a hand written list of mammal-free options from the menu! My allergy makes eating out a challenge and I’ve had other restaurants treat me like questions/accommodations were a burden, so the fact that she did that for me meant SO much! All of our food was delicious, but the duck wings were phenomenal! We will definitely be back!“

“We had the best waiter! He was funny, attentive, sweet. Food was wonderful. The atmosphere was great. This restaurant is hopping and has a big outdoor seating area as well. We ate inside. The cocktail selection is great with fun choices like a grapefruit martini and a blueberry mojito. I forgot to take a pic of the crab dip app before we ate, but it was clearly good. Our party had the salmon entree, which was cooked perfectly, the chicken penne, chicken Colorado, bacon wrapped scallops, and the beet salad. Everything was excellent. There was no room for dessert.“

“Great service! It was hard to narrow down what to order for dinner. Everything on the menu sounded wonderful. The fried cauliflower and assorted cheese plate were both tasty choices for appetizers. The scallops were cooked perfectly. Highly recommended location for a date night or large party. They were reasonably busy for a late Friday evening with several large parties on the floor but our food was timed perfectly. We were in and out in an hour. We need to check out their brunch soon!“

“My husband and I visited the Battleground location on Wed March 20 for a weekday casual dinner. The service was great and the food was excellent. The food was seasoned and extremely fresh. We had the chicken skewer platter with all salad and a cheesesteak w/fries. Everyone working that day was very attentive to service and in keeping the dining room clean. An added thing for me is the restroom was also very clean. I would highly recommend this place for a visit, you won't be disappointed.“

“Great fresh fish with creative plates that try to match certain flavors with the type of fish that is served. The mussels were good, I’d recommend ordering just those instead of the mix with clams which I didn’t know was possible at first. I do wish they had rice as one of the sides. I ended up ordered mashed sweet potatoes which were ok but a bit heavy on the ginger. Rice just compliments fish so well and it should be added to the menu!“

“First time dining here for my group. I ordered the salmon patties with collards, yams, and side salad. Oh and a mimosa, the watermelon strawberry one. My sis ordered the crab cakes with Mac n cheese and collards. My son had fried shrimp with yamsMy brother had the fried lobster tail and waffle and our friend ordered the chicken and waffle. When I tell you EVERYTHING was gooooood.....yes we sampled each others food because I'd heard about this place and had to confirm for MYSELF!!!! We asked for the chef, because we had to see who was blessing us with this gift. She humbly came out and thanked us for the compliments, but um "Chef Luxe", thank You!!!“

“I have lived in High Point for six years and never been to this place. I always see it when we are in downtown Greensboro and it is always full. Definitely make a reservation as they don't always take walk-ins. The night we went they were only accepting reservations. The service was excellent! The interior was elegant and charming. Everything on the menu seem to be reasonably priced. We started with the beef carpaccio, which was absolutely delectable. It came with toasted sourdough and a spring mix of fresh veggies. my husband and I decided to share the steak for two (Chateaubriand). This was a 20 ounce fillet tenderloin that was served with two sides and two sauces of your choosing. We opted for the creamed spinach, garlic mashed potatoes, cabernet mushroom sauce, and butter sauce. I highly recommend the creamed spinach as it was my favorite. The steak was cooked perfectly, medium rare as ordered. I cannot say enough about the creamed spinach. It was delightful and left me wanting more. We then finished up dinner with the spicy/espresso beignets. These were french beignets topped with cinnamon and dusted with espresso served with a spicy chocolate on the side. At first, it sounded odd, but the flavors blended so perfectly. What a great dessert that paired well with a decaf coffee. This is a great place for a steak and well priced. I will definitely be returning. My only recommendation/feedback for the restaurant would be to use real cherries for their old-fashioned instead of maraschino cherries. This not only elevates the drink, but it brings out the flavor of the Woodford as their house bourbon.“

“I've been here about 5 times with slightly different experiences. The first few times we went, had the BEST service and more than amazing food. The last two times, not bad, just not what I had become used to as their standard. Photos are from my most recent visit with some work friends. Service was decent, but the sandwich I normally get was not quite the same. Also being someone who loves potato salad, theirs is a pass. Overall, I will absolutely be back but may skip lunch during the week and aim for weekends where I experienced top notch service and food!!“

“Got the 2 for $25 added some grilled onions, peppers and mushrooms w/ some of the garlic butter that usually is served with the steaks ?. It changed the level of flavor for the dish. “The gem is tucked away in the shopping center off Battleground with Trader Joe's and Gold's Gym. My hubby and I had just completed a workout, so what better thing to do then get some food immediately after. Hey, we earned it. I hadn't been here before, but my husband spoke highly of it. I like sandwiches so was game. There was a good amount of people in line on a Saturday so a good sign. It's a simple restaurant. You order at the corner. Most get their subs to go, like we did, but they do have some tables if you wanna eat there. First thing I noticed was they had a lot of options. Truly a sub for any preference. They had the classics like Reuben, Meatball, and cold cuts as well as more unique offering like Buffalo Chicken Ranch and Gyro. You could come here often and try something new each time. I went classic for my first visit and got an Italian footlong on wheat. You can get a 6" or 12". I noticed that my 12" was actually going to be two 6" sandwiches. While this surprised me at first, I kind of liked it. It probably helped to motivate me to stop eating after I consumed the first one and save the other for the next day. The Italian was available cold or toasted and I could add any available toppings and sauces I wanted. They have all the standard options but some fancy extras like roasted red peppers. I got those as well as provolone, lettuce, onion, and oil and vinegar. Our subs were quickly assembled, wrapped up, and given to us to enjoy at home. The staff were efficiently and friendly. There is nothing fancy about these subs and the photos may not be the most exciting, but it was a tasty sandwich. The various meats on my Italian were good and the veggies fresh. They did not skimp on any ingredients and as I said a 6" was enough to fill me up. The other 6" also heated nicely to be enjoyed the next day. My husband got the Chicken Philly. I took a few bites and it was also good. I can see why the Sub Spot is a popular place and if you just wan't a good simple sub, it's a solid option.“

“First impressions, it's located kind of in a larger parking lot with allot of other stores immediately by. So it's a bit intimidating. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and she explained how exactly we order and gave us some great info on the quality of ingredients they use. I've eaten a lot of burgers in my life (they're my favorite food) and this place is a hole in the rock. “Wife and I visited Karonda's for the first time in probably five years and were not disappointed. Despite the place being nearly empty, the staff was attentive and our waitress was wonderful. The food was much better than we remembered and we both left thoroughly happy with the experience. The interior could use some work to not feel so empty when there aren't a lot of folks there. At one point, we joked about how it felt like we were eating in the basement because there was nobody around.“

“Went for lunch so take that with a grain of salt. We ordered tossed tenders/sweet potato fries and the French dip/side salad. Fries were hot and good. Daughter said the tenders were great. The side salad was green leafy and not just iceberg and the ranch was homemade so I enjoyed the salad. French dip is my go to at many places. This one was a tad salty, but still enjoyable. Service was good and friendly.“

“We often forget about Porterhouse because there are so many burgers in this town, but we really enjoy everytime we go there. The food is very good, and they have some unique things that stand out - recently they've change their menu to be a little less unique which is a shame but I understand the need to make business decisions and it seems like everyone in town has changed their menu this past winter. The service is always friendly although they always seem a bit understaffed which means their servers are working pretty hard sometimes. We frequently go to Porterhouse for birthdays or in other small groups as they have something for most people and are fairly priced.“

“I've been sitting on writing this review for awhile, probably longer than I should, but I still remember the evening pretty well and recently came across the photos that I had yet to post, so here goes nothing! But that is kind of the point, a restaurant like Marisol should leave you anxious to go home and tell others about what a great eating experience you had. In my case, while the food overall was good, I wasn't taken aback by anything, and at this price point, I feel that I should have been. Things started off really well, the server was eager to explain the restaurant and menu, and stayed very attentive throughout. Honestly, for my taste, overly attentive. But it's not a big place, and also wasn't very busy, so it makes sense he would have stayed vigilant with us. After ordering drinks, we received a small starter of goat cheese on crostini with some bruschetta, a nice way to kick things off. Then, one of the highlights, the basket of incredible breads was presented to us. If he had left the basket at the table, we probably would have run through it all, but we did have a few pieces with butter, that were beyond excellent. The appetizer course was fantastic. Flash fried buttermilk shrimp, house made gravlax, tomato pie, cavatelli, and a duck special. The tomato pie, I honestly wish i could have ordered a larger slice for my entrée, because I could eat that every day. The gravlax was kind of like eating lox, and I dug the texture with the crispy bread and shmear. The shrimp were plump, but given the price, nothing about them set them apart from fried shrimp elsewhere. The duck.. I said earlier about the tomato pie, maybe just give me the duck and tomato pie for an entrée, I would have been happy. For my main, i got the blackened NC mountain trout, and like others at my table, this is where the meal started to fall flat. The trout just didn't set itself apart in any way, other than the fish being clearly fresh. The blackening didn't add much flavor, nor did the sauce that it came with. For this being the supposed centerpiece of our experience, it was disappointing. I found myself wishing I got the duck breast that someone else had. For dessert, we shared the vanilla bean creme brulee and the bread pudding. The crème brûlée was well executed, which is no ordinary feat, so big props for that. The bread pudding however was the total opposite. I have never really encountered dry bread pudding before, but this was it. Even though it was covered in chocolate sauce (would have just liked a dish of that) and ice cream, still somehow dry to the bone. I was surprised the waiter didn't ask about it, given it was barely touched by all of us, and he had been so attentive to everything else. In the end, for the money, I don't know that I would return. As I said earlier, at this price point, it kind of needs to be great from top to bottom. Some of it was, but the most important part was kind of pedestrian. I could definitely see myself coming back for drinks and apps though!“

“My dish was pretty good but I can't speak for everybody else at the table the fillets seems very small and service seemed like they were a little bit unsure of what was available and what wasn't available. They had to come back to our table multiple times to tell us they were either missing something or didn't have it.“

“The food here is beautifully plated. The menu had a great variety. I had the meatloaf, which was a good mixture of beef and pork and seasoned bread crumbs. The Augratin potatoes were good, but missed being great by adding just a little more cream and cheese. The rice medley was lackluster. If the rice was seasoned like a pilaf, it would have been more flavorful.“

“we stumbled across this place by accident. decided to give it a go. 1st time was breakfast, it def surpassed expectations. the food was plentiful (we ate on it twice). I felt the price was lower than one would think based on what we had and the quantity. service was both cheery and fast. our server looked to see if our drinks were at least half full with each pass and offering refills when we hit the half mark. the second time was dinner, we each got an entree with a "buffalo chicken" pizza to try it. her chicken salad was enormous (the size of a coffee saucer big) not actually able to fit on the croissant it was piled on to. my gyro was on par with the ones i remember from living up north (i could only eat half of it, btw, reheated to perfection). we each had a single slice of the pizza and loved it. the restaurant was very clean. staff stayed busy and attentive to their tables. the manager asked and wanted to know how our experience was, did we have any suggestions about how to improve.... told him to keep on just as they are.“
