“I love this new brewery. They have a great outdoor seating area, non-alcoholic, beer selections (one of us can't drink) and the food truck that was there was great. Service was friendly and attentive and I will definitely go back. It's walking distance from downtown Hillsboro and you can get there on the Riverwalk, so if you've had a few too many beers, you can wander through Hillsboro shops and galleries while you sober up.“
“It was a great networking event with my Durham Regional Association of Realtors at our Summer Solstice. The atmosphere was awesome!I had a conversation with a few of the locals and we discussed the blues, entrepreneurship and everything in between.“
“Met a friend for drinks there. I had no idea they hold Open Mic night. Nice atmosphere, and plenty of people but not too crowded. They have outside seating available as well. Nice spot on King Street, that is a short walk from a couple of different parking areas.“
“Great atmosphere with outdoor seating, the interior has a wonderful old time feel to it. The servers all check on you, but on busy days you may have to flag them down and they will attend your needs right away. The food is great too. They rotate different breweries around the country and we had some brews from Hawaii and another location, they were very good. Definitely stop by if you’re in town. Ohio State Buckeyes are definitely welcome.“
“Loved our relaxing, enjoyable Saturday night out at tin roof. Live music, cheap beers, and an extensive selection of bourbon. Would love to come back in the summer time and spend some time in the outdoor area as well. Great little spot to hang out in the heart of downtown hillsborough!“
“The owners, staff, regular patrons and newer customers are what Durham and Orange County are all about..Fun, Friends, and an owner who can win all dance contests that are held to raise money for the many different charities and community needs that need local support. Thank you, Milkcarton“
“Dined here last night and at 5:30 there was a 30 minute wait. Didn't expect that but we had no where else to be so we waited. Have dined here from time to time over the years and its simple restaurant food at a fair price. My husband had the fried oysters- it was a smaller size order than we remembered it being but considering what we have paid for oysters recently it was a good deal. Nice size oysters, not too big and not tiny ones either. A medium light batter. Says comes with fries and Cole slaw but can substitute other items at no extra cost. Ordered mashed potatoes and a side salad. I had shrimp and grits with thin slices of what looked like kielbasa. Has good flavor and worth what we paid. Came with a side salad. We had key lime pie for dessert, Could have been a little tangier But home made and it was descent. Atmosphere in the main dining room is a bit crowded, it's one of the things that keeps me from coming back, I sorta feel like cattle being herded into a room. They have a bar area with tables but you can only sit at the bar if seats are available the tables are used doe regular seating. I prefer to sit at the tables in the bar area. This area seems to be filled with regulars. If your looking for decent food at a reasonable price give this place a try.“
“This is a go-to place for my wife and I on date night. It's small and intimate, and has a great cocktail menu. My wife likes the Bee's Knees. I usually go for a beer or two from their carefully curated draft list. They've got a nice outdoor space, and you can order food that is delivered to you from The Pig, which is amazing! We recommend a plate of BBQ Nachos. There is, maybe, no better bar food in existence.“
“It was our first time going today and it certainly won't be the last! we loved everything about this place. The staff is wonderful, helpful, and very kind. she explained everything well and let us extend our reservation for another hour. Prices are very reasonable especially if you come with friends and split. the room was very comfortable and we all enjoyed having fun together.“
“Couldn't have been happier with our first experience at this terrific little spot! I come to Durham from PA several times a year to visit my elderly parents at Croasdaile; we are always looking for new dining spots to try, and this one did not disappoint. My mother suffers from both cognitive and dietary issues, and our wonderful server couldn't have been more friendly, upbeat and accommodating. She brought my mom a special gluten targeted menu especially suited for her needs and patiently helping talk her through all the choices, then kept checking back to ensure all was well. The specials were amazing, (hot honey Brussels sprouts?? Smoked blueberry mezcal margarita?!?! Dang!) and oh wow, that brisket....I'll be dreaming about it until I can come back again for my next visit! Literally the most tender I've had in ages. Give this wonderful place a try and I'm betting you'll be back. I know I will!“
“After driving by this place twice a week for the last 6 months for my job I decided to take some time and park and go in. What a delight! Nice people, great selection of Records, good beer. The people in there ranged in age from mid 20s up into late 50s, so didn't feel out of place even though I'm a bit older. I'm quite knowledgeable about music mainly from the 50s through the 90s, Rock and roll, blues, jazz. They had it all and much more. Many things I never heard of that looked interesting.. They even had some records that I wanted and I wound up spending about 50 bucks on records and had a great beer and a good talk with the owner. I'll be back in this time I'll bring a gal pal.“
