“If you are looking for a fun and tasty place to eat, check out Dave's 209 in Spring Creek, North Carolina. This cozy restaurant is located in a historic school building that dates back to 1924. You can enjoy delicious food and friendly service, while also having fun with the games and arcade machines they have on site. They also sell local memorabilia and T-shirts, so you can take home a souvenir of your visit. Dave's 209 is a great destination for families, friends, and anyone who loves good food and history. And if you are heading to Max Patch, the stunning bald mountain that offers panoramic views of the Appalachians, make sure to stop by the Dave's 209 on your way. You won't regret it!“
“I can only speak on the restaurant, I can't speak on the rooms due to the fact that I never stayed there. My husband and I had lunch at the Iron Horse yesterday, and I have a few thoughts. The Spinach Dip is not worth it. It comes served in a tiny bowl, with cold pita bread. If the presentation was different, I would recommend it. If it were served in a small cast iron skillet, and the cheese was melted and the pita was warm... I would recommend it!The main entrees were DELCIOUS! The sides.. not so much. My husband got the BBQ burger, and WOW! What a great sandwich. It was over cooked, but the bbq sauce was out of this world!I got the trout, and the seasoning was fantastic! The sides were all terrible. We didn't eat them. We felt like this meal could have been a lot better if the kitchen stepped it up a bit. The fries were over cooked, the greens were too vinegary (if that's a word) and just get rid of the cole slaw. It was rancid.Other than that, it was good. Great service, cute spot, and again... I can't speak on the rooms, but seems like a great place to stay.“
“Nice place. I usually hear that Hot Springs only had one Restaurant and it wasn't this one. Eclectic decor inside but there's an outside deck overlooking a stream that runs through town. The menu is deeper than most taverns. Good sandwiches. Great selection of mostly local beers with a good mix of styles. Nice friendly people.“
“This was hands down one of the best dinners I’ve ever eaten. As a chef myself I really appreciated the plating skills and speed. The Chilean sea bass was perfect along with the bed of risotto it was on. I loved the fried oysters as well and for anyone who enjoys cider beers the one they have is really tasty. Overall it was one of the best experiences eating out I’ve had. The service was incredible and this place is definitely a hidden little gem that I recommend to anyone.“
“This small diner sits directly off the Appalachian Trail and is known for good food and lots of it. Hikers get really hungry and there are a lot of them, so this place caters to that need. Bring your appetite and prepare for an incredible meal, diner style type food - excellent. I went with the Smokey Mountain Breakfast - 3 eggs over easy, biscuit and gravy, hash browns and chopped steak - 12$. The food was good, inexpensive and there was a lot of it. This is what you expect from a diner and it doesn’t get any better.“
