A few years ago, at my niece’s wedding, I struck up a conversation with a gentleman who mentioned he had opened a restaurant in Jacksonville, NC. Fast forward to today, I finally made it out to his place—Booby’s Kitchen—and let me tell you, the food wasn’t just good… it was shut-your-mouth-and-do-a-happy-dance good. Everything from the flavor to the portions hit the spot. You could taste the love and pride in every bite. If you’re anywhere near Jacksonville, do yourself a favor and stop by—you’ll thank me later. As for me, I’m officially stuffed and sliding straight into a well-deserved nap.”

“There’s only two places I’d recommend in jacksonville so far and this was absolutely incredible. We got the Kabob platter and it was plenty enough food for me my husband and our 15 month old who eats everything. They are very accommodating to children and the server we had was so sweet. I wish i remembered her name. She recommended the platter.”

“We visited Bubba 33's and the food was amazing. I got the traditional wings with hot sauce. I normally prefer my wings hotter, but these were delicious, and they did have a hotter option on the menu. The fried pickles were great and so was the spinach dip. The young lady serving us was friendly, professional, and checked on us often. The only issues were that we ordered a spinach dip, which comes with bread, and we didn't get our bread until we were getting ready to leave, despite asking about it 3 times. The atmosphere is great, but the music is definitely too loud to be able to speak to your server or to the people at your table, it could definitely come down a couple of notches. Overall, great experience, I would definitely recommend it and we will be back.”

“Just moved back to the area, so unpacking a house and to tired to cook. Saw this place on Piney Green the other day. Looked them up and saw their ratings ? I read through them and while their ratings were bad there was not a lot of reviews and a few were excellent. So we tried it despite the ratings. We were pleasantly surprised. I called and placed the order for pickup at 18:07. We ordered a pork egg roll, a shrimp egg roll, fried wontons, crab rangoon, steamed dumplings, sesame chicken (came with white rice), sweet and sour pork (came with white rice), pork fried rice, and chicken lo mein. We were hungry and wanted to try a bit of everything LOL. They said it would be about 20 minutes, and it was ready right on the dot! We tried everything but the fried rice, that is tomorrow's lunch ? We liked everything we ate! Was good and hot!! Definitely will get it again! The egg rolls were not our favorites, but that is about our taste (as my husband says, he doesn't like grassy egg rolls lol) - not the cooking. I will update again on our second go around. But we took a chance and were very happy we did!!”

“This is most def one of the top 5 mcdonalds in size i have ever seen, but considering its location and traffic, i could see why they had to accommodate..not only for non stop drive thrue customers but a little steady flow of walk ins and the crew to handle the onslaught of continuous orders. Customer service is the best from my personal experiences, but also from my observation on how they handle the excessive drive-through orders very organized, they still keep their corporate standard of x amount of time per order. Very friendly, they also excersized suggestive selling techniques, which doesn't happen often... nothing like hearing the words "would you like fries with that?".. on point love it from a managers perspective. Food quality considering how fast they are moving is great quality of taste even better plus it seemed fresh and juicy always tastes better when its fresh off the grill as apposed to sitting in the heater trays that dries them out...this should be consistant at this location because they have to keep making more as the orders come barreling through. The atmosphere is flawless from the hassle and bustle of the employees to the lack of better words not hearing a single complaint from any customers abd I've been sitting here for a couple hours usually you will hear 3 to 4 so they make sure there orders are made to order. The design and architecture of this mcdonalds i really liked it alot very modern i couldn't resist taking a bunch of photos. Extra kudos for the prestine well kept restroom i hardly ever take photos of restrooms so when i past one... they take care of it and it looks good. The best mcdonalds ever through and through.”

“What can I say? I walked in and was on my way with my orders in less than ten minutes. Everything was hot and freshly served. The manager realized I was a frequent visitor with my grand children. It was really hot that day. One of my grands replied grandpa I'm thirsty. Just then out of kindness from the manager they all received complimentary apple juices. It made their sunny day brighter. “So I’ve had my eye on Blend as I drive by for a while now. Well a couple days ago I happen to be in town and I was craving hazelnut so I decided it was time to check them out. The main attraction for me was the opportunity to sit outside on the waterfront and enjoy a nice drink. I met the lady working the counter and told her I was craving hazelnut and thought I would like a frappe, she asked if I wanted cream and I wasn’t sure then she said yea you do and I said okay. She immediately made me feel welcome and she was very friendly. She made my drink and as I tasted it she was genuinely concerned whether I would like it or not. After a few seconds the flavor hit my mouth and it was fabulous, I loved it. And to top that off I went outside as I drank my frappe and enjoyed the waterfront. As I was leaving the lady at the counter asked me to please come again and I said absolutely. Great coffee, great environment and great experience what more could we ask for. Good job and thank you, I will be back.”

The staff were friendly and sat us quickly. That night they did not have a wide drink selection, noting that the soda supplier had not stopped by and that the beer selection was very limited, no worries, we had water. The menu has a large selection of Thai traditional dishes. We went with the Shrimp Tom Kha Goong, the Pork Pad Krapow Gai and the Chicken Pad Krapow Gai. Everything was excellent and we were very satisfied with our meal.”

I am not one to complain though but while she was busy the manager Jordan “dropped” our food off….more like tossed our food at us with no eye contact and didn’t even ask if we need anything extra which we needed plates and napkins which we had to ask another server who was super helpful as well! The manager on top of everything IN FRONT OF US cursed in front of us being snarky to nearby servers who we were actively talking to (them making connections with customers as they should be!) he says something along the lines of “I’ve been calling for runners while yall have been bullshitting around out here”!

The Cane’s sauce is very good, but honestly, I think it’s a little overhyped. Overall, it’s good, fast food, but with Chick-fil-A, Guthrie’s, and Slim Chickens nearby, I’d probably choose those first. Still a solid 4/5, just not quite worth all the hype.”

**ONLY access to the station is narrow road with a curb in the middle..dumb, but probably needed. May be a little tricky with a trailer or long rig... Plus leaving the the station you must turn right. The curb in the road makes this difficult..at the next intersection, again small narrow roads**
