“My wife and had gone to this location for the first time last night with our soon-to-be one year old, Logan. He was overtired, cranky and overall acting a menace. The staff was phenomenal about it and came over (a few times) to cheer him up and say hello. My order came out slightly undercooked for what I had ordered, but I genuinely fault myself because I just didn’t want it OVERcooked. The staff very quickly fixed my meal and the manager even brought out fresh sides to pair it with. SO appreciated as I was probably overtired myself lol. The staff was absolutely a breath of fresh air and I will definitely be back!“
“We had the smoke pit catered for our wedding and I can’t say enough when it comes to how happy we are with the service we received. The staff were EXTREMELY attentive, had great attention to detail and made sure that everything was perfect for me and my husband the whole night. The food was off the charts amazing and the guests were raving over every single food item. The desserts were also out of this world. On top of having the best service and food, there was way more then enough food left at the end of the night that the guests were able to take food to go AND we had plenty to go home with us as well. I can’t thank them enough for making the experience the best we could have asked for and more.“

“Stopped by for the first time. got a pork plate. Mac n cheese and slaw as the sides. The pork was some of the most tender I have ever had. Mac n cheese was good, and I really liked the BBQ slaw. the sauce was a little sweet, so just put on some of my favorite sauces at home and enjoyed it all. great owners!“

It felt like we were truly cared for. The overall look and feel of the restaurant was so inviting. I was raised around trains my entire life. “Bartender was very nice and attentive. Drinks were very good. Had pulled pork sandwich, beans, Corn on the Cob. Wasn’t a fan of the white sauce on the cob; didn’t really add anything to the taste. The pulled pork was good. Atmosphere was okay. A few more sports TVs around the bar would be nice with some sports on. I’d definitely come back though.“

I got the chicken tender platter with fries and my wife got the bird house.(chicken tenders):PROS:- price- portion size- tenders were very crispy- fries had perfect crunch and softness of potato.- made fresh. Definitely wasn't sitting.CONS:- breading needs more seasoning. It lacked spice like garlic powder, salt or pepper.- need 2 dipping sauces served.Bird House:PROS:- price- portion size- love the pulled pork added to the baked beans.- the BBQ used on the pulled chicken was good and has a little kick at the end.- coleslaw was noms!- fries were perfect. Crispy and fluffy.CONS:- sauce for the pulled chicken seemed like it could have been mixed a bit better as some areas were stronger on the sauce than other.Something else I really liked was that they make everything to order. So you know the food is fresh. If you are not able to wait 10-15 mins than this might not be the place for you, but don't sleep on it.Lastly, the staff. Everyone was super friendly. “Porkys has become my favorite BBQ Restaurant. Their footlongs are old school, which is hard to find, these days. And The BBQ is better than Lexington BBQ, that's on the hill. “I went there for lunch for the first time today.. The burgers were as good as you will ever find. I totally loved the food there and it was as clean of a restaurant as you will ever find. I’m very picky about my ice tea and those of you who are know, most restaurant tea sucks, but, they have great ice tea and I will be going back. I heard today that tomorrow (Tuesday) that they are having smoked brisket sandwiches, I just hope that I will be able to go. What it all boils down to is this is a great place to eat, I went forty miles out of my way to get there, and it was worth every mile and can’t wait to go back. Hats off to the grill“
