“We had early reservations at the Wake Forest location so the crowd was a little light. I don't eat shellfish so usually my options at seafood restaurants is limited. Not so with this menu. I truly was torn on what to order but I settled on the smoked salmon Alfredo. It was so good along with everything else we ordered. Our server Leah was great and I highly recommend this location for happy hour, date night, game nights, or just a nice dinner.“
“This place is AMAZING - and we are SO lucky to have it right here!! I live in Knightdale, NC, and I work at another fine dining restaurant in Raleigh proper. Nothing against where I work, but The Depot prides itself on sourcing locally as much as possible (beef from Brasstown in Franklin, poultry & duck from Joyce Farms in Chapel Hill, fresh produce from Blue Sky Farms in Wendell) and presenting a fresh, chef-driven menu. “Our server was super sweet and attentive. Everything we had was delicious. We tried the crab cake, fried flounder, ahi tuna, stuffed scallops, fried shrimp, fries, hush puppies, and green beans. Everything came out quickly, and we had plenty left to bring home.“
“I like this place and its location very much. My belief is that it has a lot of potential to become a very popular spot, but they will have to get a couple of issues worked out. Our server, who was a very nice young lady, seemed to have not had any training in the basics of being a restaurant server. We had to ask for napkins and silverware. She never asked any of us if we wanted refills on drinks. Empty glasses and plates were allowed to sit long after we were finished, through the time we just sat and visited with each other. A couple of times she came by to ask if we needed anything else, which was nice of her to do, but each time she walked away without taking any of the dirty dishes and glasses that covered our table. A lady who apparently was the manager or owner, finally came over and retrieved them a few minutes before we left. Lastly, we often enjoy sitting at the bar in any restaurant we visit, to have drinks and our meals. Service is often better there. But I noticed a young couple sitting at the bar with a crying baby in a carrier, pulled up close between them. If we had come in with plans to sit at the bar, seeing and hearing the baby would’ve caused us to turn around and leave. Simply make a policy prohibiting children at the bar. You’re allowed to do so. I hope this restaurant improves and is successful.Parking: Plenty of parking directly behind the building. The restaurant can be entered from the back without having to walk around to the front door.“

Yes, it cost a few more dollars for some of the meals, but it's not out of the reach for budget-friendly families making some choices. The meal portions are large, in fact, more than I could eat in a setting. So, a take out box requested. You'll find the staff to be very knowledgeable and suggesting for the meals you may questions about. That's very helpful in selecting your favorite dish. ?! There's plenty of setting and privacy for those cozy moments ?. So go by, if you got that extra driver, there's a Bar too for those selective drinks. Just Don't Drink and Drive! “This place is awesome. My wife had the tuna and she said it was the best tuna she’s had. I’m not a big seafood person so I got a burger and it was probably the best burger I’ve ever had. Drinks were good. Dad had a Bloody Mary and I tasted it and it too was the best I’ve had. Super impressed. The owner is hot too!“
“We went with family for Easter, and it was pretty good. I personally don't eat seafood, but everyone else thought it was really good and the portions were huge. I got the enchiladas, and they were really good. It came with a side of rice and lettuce, pico de gallo mix. My husband got the flautas and they're were really good as well. They didn't come with any other sides, tho. We also got a margarita flight, which was amazing. It came with 4 different types and fruit slices, too.“
“This particular restaurant is one of about 5 within a 40 mile radius of each other. We love them! Big servings, competitive prices, dine in or take out. We don't eat here as often as the one in Louisburg NC and Cary but all are efficient and well run. Food is great. Full bar. “First time here and it won't be our last. Initially the wait time was said to be 45 minutes, but it was really 5. It took a long time for our salads to come out so we were still eating them when our entrees came. I couldn't finish my wedge salad because of the timing. My drink was fine, nothing special. Will likely return for a steak dinner with the family.“

The staff kept it abd brought it out at the right time with candles lit and the server also joining in to sing happy birthday. The food was great as always along with the service. We celebrated my son's birthday (probably for the eighth or ninth time in the past 13 years and we reminisced with some of the long-time staff over photos of my son wearing the birthday sombrero since he was two years old) and the waitstaff sang and celebrated with us. “I’d tell anyone to stop reading reviews and just go. Calamari was great, seafood boil was outstanding. The granchio sauce is a mix of garlic butter, Cajun, and a bit of lemon pepper. It’s all the things and really tasty. The price is completely reasonable. Our server (Nikki I think?) obviously enjoys what she does. It’s rare these days to have a personable server that isn’t just going through the motions. I love supporting small family owned businesses, and this is a really good one. Casual environment, we were in jeans and sweatshirts and didn’t feel out of place.“
