“We came to Sapphire NC for a visit from Atlanta Ga! We ate at Mica’s twice in 4 days that we spent here! Food was amazing both times ! Staff was incredible not only in service but the way they worked together was great as well ! Highly recommend !!”

“Loved our dinner. The only glitch was initially after being seated it took them a long time to take a drink order. The restaurant wasn't super busy but they were more attentive to their larger parties. We had to reach out to ask someone to come over. After that our service improved and we had a fabulous meal and lovely dining experience.”

“This place is the destination after you've reached your destination. Famished, after a long mountain hike, pop on in for an ice cold brew and a breakfast lunch and dinner burger! It's 3 meals in one and I didn't even get the fries. I got the John burger, which was collosal, burger patty topped with brisket, cheese, and onion rings! It's everything you want on a sandwich and then some more goodness! My wife got the steak quesadilla which was amazing and pretty sure made with homemade tortillas. We also got chips and guacamole. The chips were those really good fried chips and the guac was fresh and made with love! We got a side of Mac and cheese skillet for the kids topped with bacon. Everything was spot on deliciousness and I'd highly recommend it all. Wish I would've gotten a hat to rep! Great job! Keep up the great work!Kid-friendliness: A very chill place, with out door seating, plenty of TV's, and a fire place inside and fire pit outside.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible, plenty of maneuverability, spacious.”

“We’ve eaten here three times in last two weeks. It’s the closest restaurant to our home and we love the atmosphere here. Greg and Josie have been our servers and both are friendly and knowledgeable. We love the station burger and wedge salad but we also love shrimp and grits and the recent bourbon chicken special.”

“The pizza was amazingly tasty. You can tell they wanted to get the crust just right. If you’re well-done person, just ask and I’m sure they can darken it up a little, but I like it this way. It’s got the right mixture of ingredients from the sauce to the cheese to the pepperoni. It stands on its own without even adding anything. I did put a little Parmesan and black pepper on it that I thought was pretty good.Waffle fries are crunchy soft inside. I think they probably double fry them. Very impressed. This was great food.”

“I stopped here to replenish calories after a long hard day hiking in the backcountry chasing waterfalls. What a great decision! Food is delicious and reasonably priced. The patio has a great view overlooking a waterfall. Service was great as well. I ordered the Apollo Jalisco , excellent dish. The salsa was fresh and delicious.”

“We had a wonderful time hosting a wedding rehearsal dinner for our son and his bride at Happs Place. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and the menu options perfect for the event. The service was efficient, polite, and on-time. We also had an afternoon lunch in the back where there is a putting green and other activities outside the bar. Dereck and his team are real pros. This place is a treasure and highly recommended.”

“This place I believe is better than tavern on the glen in New York. The food and service is excellent and the atmosphere is perfect. We have been eating here since the move from the white goose that their family own then. You must try it”

“This is a nice little Italian restaurant tucked away near the mountains not too far away from a lot of waterfall attractions and scenic overlooks.Food was really good and fresh, I just wanted to say thank you to the staff that was there. That accommodated us an hour before closing! We Came from the Charlotte Metro area to go to the shadow of the bear scenic overlook. After we were done we came by around 7:00 to get some food before we packed up. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for pizza or any pasta dish. Prices are a little on the heavier side. I will admit but can't complain considering it's probably one of the best spots in the area!The Baked Penne and Meatballs were fantastic and I wished I had a bigger appetite for the pizza!!”

“Sandwich shop in a farmers market with outside picnick tables. Food of exceptional quality. Top few Cuban sandwiches I've had and I've tried at least 50 different versions. Best was at an authentic Cuban place in Florida but this one was right up there.”

“Stopped here with our family after an adventure, and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everyone on staff seemed happy to be there. Next time we’re in the area we will be sure to visit again.”

“Great large indoor and outdoor area that is pet friendly. We tried a few beers that were good, not spectacular but good. We had the Brussels (really good!) and the smash burger (okay). We got to be out for the eclipse which was awesome after a great local hike as well. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.”

“Very Good Mexican Food in Cashiers. The place has a very large menu, with a wide variety of choices--all at reasonable prices. I think the most expensive thing on the menu is a steak dish at like $15. Most choices are in the $8 to $9 range. The service is fast, so everything comes out hot. There is a full bar and their Texas margaritas are the best!”

“This is a cute coffee shop in Cashiers that the locals clearly love! The baristas are super helpful and kind at providing recommendations if you're not sure what you want or need suggestions on something to try. My sister and I went for coffee and got a hazelnut iced latte and iced caramel mocha. Both were good but definitely recommend the mocha if you want something sweeter. You need to add flavorings to the coffees (made with espresso) to make them sweet. It's a cute place to sit in and enjoy the town if you're visiting!”

“We stopped into the Panther Cafe for a late lunch today. It was absolutely delicious. I chose the BLT with fries. It was the perfect southern bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich. The bread was toasted to perfection, the bacon was crispy, the veggies were fresh, and it was topped off with just the right amount of Duke's mayonnaise! My fries were hot and crispy. The little restaurant is quaint - made of large logs, with a vaulted ceiling, and gorgeous hardwood floors. The seating area is an eclectic blend of mismatched farmhouse tables. Our waitress was extremely pleasant and efficient. If you're looking for casual food done well, this is the perfect little restaurant.”

“Cashiers offers a number of good restaurants, though some may be closed in the off season. If you don't want to drive to Brevard Cashiers has options. The Ugly Dog pub is a great choice. Good food served fast. The place was not crowded in March. The manager made the rounds to check on us. My wife needed gluten free. They don't have GF bread ? but they offered to give her the sandwich on the plate, no bun. They have a full bar with two big screen TV's over the bar. If you are in the area and don't want a chain restaurant, it's a good option.”

“Passing through, Took a random chance on Chile Loco. We are beyond glad we did. For one the people are super nice. We got the Mexican style tacos, and they were amazing! My husband ended up trying all meats… and still end up ordering two more. The Al pastor and chorizo were definitely our top favorites. My kid ended up with the hard tacos (ground beef) and she left nothing! We also got horchata! It’s was delicious!!! This place is a must try! It’s clean, people are friendly and it’s delicious! Wish I would have taken more pics ? but we were too busy enjoying all the food.”

“We went here purely because they are dog friendly and we're glad we did! Our group got the trout dip, burgers, and vegetarian dishes. All of the food was great! The Bloody Marys were the only disappointment, but the Mules were great.”
