“I found this place because I was searching for a chefs tasting table. They ended up being booked out for a year so I figured just regular reservations would suffice.I booked the bar and was so glad I did. We got there and there was an anniversary card hand-signed with little congratulatory messages from the entire staff. So sweet. We did a bunch of small plates. I don’t know if I remember everything but it was all fantastic. They also brought out other dishes compliments of the chef. The chef came out twice and just chatted with us. My husband asked him about sunchoke because he’d never heard of it, and he literally went back to the kitchen and came back to show us what it was. The sous chef came out too. The owner and the bartender tag-teamed serving us and everyone was just so friendly, informative, and just so pleasant to be around. Everything was plated like a work of art. We literally stared at each plate in awe because of how pretty it all looked. Every dish was fully explained when they presented it.We started with charcuterie and it was amazing. Three meats I haven’t had before, all house made. House made pickles, jam, and crackers. A mustard that was out of this world. For our small plates we had:- crispy octopus with a squid ink tuile and some sort of amazing potato fondue. It was the best octopus I’ve ever had. We ordered it twice.- steak tartare with quail egg and potato croquettes. So tender and such an amazing mix of flavors.- duck fat beignets. We got these twice. The first was a sugar coated beignet with Serrano (I believe) ham, goat cheese and a jam. The second was foie gras with goat cheese and grapes. The sweet and savory and salty all together was a complete shock to my system. I’d eat them daily if I could.- hay smoked carrots with cecina, black garlic and port poached pears. This was compliments of the chef and was just such an amazing surprise.- salmon crudo with grapefruit, bergamot and freshly grated horseradish. Such an interesting mix of flavors. The salmon was served raw so the grapefruit was a great tenderizer. It was so buttery and fresh.- fois gras served with sunchoke cake. Yes, cake. The cake was sweet and moist and felt dense but was really light. Absolutely amazing. I don’t know if that even makes sense but that’s how I can describe it. Best fois gras I’ve ever had.- ricotta tortellini- also compliments of the chef. The dough was so tender. The ricotta was so smooth and creamy. It was served with garlic scapes and almonds and mushrooms that were perfectly cooked.- we ended up getting a cheese plate at the end as well. All three cheeses were so different and perfect. Also served with the crackers, jam, and a different mustard. For dessert we ordered a layered chocolate stout cake with a black sesame tahini ice cream. It reminded me of the most elevated chocolate peanut butter dessert you can imagine. They also sent us three other ice creams: roasted almond, fois gras, and mushroom. Everything was so creamy, perfectly sweet, and flavorful. Just absolutely stunning.I’m drooling just reliving it in my mind. I cannot wait to go back. The owner informed us about the outdoor seating along the river during the summer and how on Wednesdays (I think) they do fresh oysters that are caught that morning and the person who catches them delivers and shucks them as ordered. This was the most wonderful anniversary dinner and truly one of the top 5 dining experiences I’ve ever had, no questions asked. Such a wonderfully unexpected food gem in Exeter! Our sincerest thanks to every single staff member that made our night something we will talk about for a very long time.“

“I purchased cookies & cream cupcakes for a friend’s birthday. They were boxed up beautifully and traveled well. The cupcakes tasted like high-end non-vegan desserts and thankfully weren’t overly sweet. They were a hit! Thank you!Dietary restrictions: Vegan“

“New name, same cool staff and excellent menu options as before. If it's not broke don't fix. Great coffee, and the food is so good for the price. Packed bowl is a perfect egg everytime, and my favorite thing. Spacious tables and cozy atmosphere, the line can get long but it always moves quick. If all that werent enough, this place supports the seacoast art scene by displaying local artists, community board for events, hosting elite music gigs, equaling something very extra special. A true gem of Dover.“

“I was hooked the first time I ate here and have been going back since. No other Thai place is needed by me. Unless, I move far away. Nah...I'll stay. I always order the spring rolls, Thai iced tea or a Mai Tai, and my fave - Pad See Yew. Mmm mmmm good. Want some now.“

“10/10 as always. The food, atmosphere and overall vibe are the perfect mid-day escape. They were down a person in the kitchen and rightfully told customers there would be a wait. Did it all with a smile. News was well received by most (including myself). Chicken curry sandwich was the best I’ve had there. The Granny Smith apple slices provide a tart and bright crunch to contrast the savory and flavorful (not spicy) curry chicken salad. The focaccia bread was the icing on the cake. Best sandwich I’ve had in years.Place is a hidden gem in Dover.Parking: Ample spaces availableKid-friendliness: Totally laid back atmosphere and they serve the best frilled cheese in NH“

“The food was really good and both of my parents loved the food too! Very quiet and calm place! One thing that is a bit odd is that they use plastic boxes for some of the meals. I got bulgogi and it came in a plastic container. Just curious on why they do that.“

“Completely delightful. We were served by one of the two brothers who are also the owners for more than 30 years. The food is prepared and tastes as close to authentic as I remember eating at top tier restaurants in India. The chef has precise control of the American palette's mild, medium, and "regular" hot. There's two other higher notches on the hot scale to choose from in case you are interested. All 4 in our party were impressed how well the chef produced the "temperature" to match the request.“

“Great place with nice atmosphere. My experiences with the staff have all been pleasant and the food I found hasn't been bad. Especially enjoy visiting and feeding the goat brothers carrots. Just watch your fingers... Goats may not have upper teeth but they can still nip! ?“

“The Oak House is a fantastic Newmarket staple! It offers amazing food, wonderful service, and a great community atmosphere. It brings you back week after week!Vegetarian options: This is the most vegetarian/vegan/allergy friendly place I have ever been. They are amazing at accommodating allergies and vegetarian needs. Their menu has a wide selection but is largely just sandwiches/burgers.Kid-friendliness: They have a small kids menu and atmosphere is acceptable for kids. They can provide some crayons and pages to color if needed.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, this place has a wheelchair accessible entrance and wheelchair accessible seating.“

“Paul and his younger co-worker (can't remember his name) are litterally the nicest, most attentive, authentic people you can have wait on you in NH! The employees and great food are why I come 1x a month and will continue to do so!Food: I always get the same thing, Greek salad, extra feta and extra beef, love it! 5 of 5 ? all day!If I ever open a buisness, I would poach these 2 amazing workers in a heart beat!Dietary restrictions: I am a diabetic who eats low carb, perfect place for me!“

“Was told about this place from a buddy of mine that goes to UNH, the service here was fast, friendly, and the food was surprisingly cheap. The quality and taste of the food was exceptional, especially considering you can get a specialty burger, specialty fries and a drink for just $15. Quite possibly the tastiest burger you can get in the entire Seacoast, I will definitely be coming back!Parking: Parking is done from the road, but considering its near UNH campus and fraternity/sorority houses, spots can be difficult to find“

“We had a fantastic dinner. An extra bonus was watching the chefs cook, they were like an orchestra so coordinated. The sitting had 26 diners. The menu changes every week. We had bean soup, a choice of smoked salmon salad w potato or polenta with pork ragu, chicken with spinach or cod with carrots, beef with potato and red cabbage or pork and lentils, toffee pudding or funnel cake ( fried dough). Everything was delicious, there was not a single dish that we did not love. Service was attentive and friendly. We will be back!“

“One of the absolute best breakfasts spots around. Food is consistently amazing. Great service. Often on a wait, but WELL worth it. Add yourself to the list & pop over to Good Juju or walk down to the boat launch and say hi to the town ducks while you're waiting. My personal favorites are the Down East French Toast - stuffed with maple walnut cream cheese and topped with my choice of fruit usually raspberries & the Dwight (insanely good) & lately the Green Chili Burrito - blueberry pancakes the perfect add on & the muffins!- grilled with butter of course. Homemade cinnamon swirl toast! Smoothies! Don't worry - you really cannot go wrong with any choice here.“
“This place is awesome. The prices are high but I don't mind paying the extra money for such an amazing selection of stuff you can't get anywhere else. Staff is helpful, very knowledgeable and usually kind. Tried the Cafe for first time today and wow such good sandwiches and reasonable too! I try to go here as often as I can.“
