“Great time with the family. While waiting for our party to arrive we sat at the bar with the bartender Ozzi. He was cool and friendly. Most definitely was on point with flavor in our drinks!Our Chef Archi had a great sense of humor made us all laugh. The server Mia was very attentive and sweet.However, I didn't like how we felt very rushed with the each course!! I wasn’t even half way through my soup when the salad came out and shortly afterward the main course.Only recommendation to the restaurant….If you’re going to have a 5 course meal it should be timed a lot better!! Guest shouldn’t feel so rushed.“

“I had the honor privilege and luck of being the very first customer to be served at Kanpachi Sushi during their grand opening on 4/29/2022. The very first think I noticed was how friendly and inviting the staff is, they make you feel welcome the second that you step into their establishment. The second thing I noticed was the how the new renovation which makes you want to come in and have a seat at a table or sit at the sushi bar to watch the sushi master construct your order before your eyes. I am impressed with the addition of this new business to Amboy Ave. The food is fresh, top-quality ingredients prepared by a world class chief and sushi master. I had lunch there yesterday and today. Oh, and did I mention that Kanpachi is a BYOB establishment? Sushi steak and Hibachi lovers, do yourself a favor and get over there. I am making this my go to spot for lunch or dinner, I give Kanpachi 5 stars. Thank you for picking Amboy Ave to open your sushi house.“

“This is the best sushi I've ever had, EVER. And yes, I've been to Nobu and Blue Ribbon and all that. The fish is consistently fresh and the dishes are always changing and unique. I'm also a huge fan of the cook your own steak on the hot rock - it's so much fun and beyond delicious. “Needed a sushi fix today and I’m glad I chose this place they literally had everything I wanted to settle my craving. I ended up getting their lunch special which you could get two rolls off a smaller menu for about $13, which also came with me so soup. I also ended up grabbing one of their specialty rolls which I will admit is a little on the pricier side… $18 a roll but the flavor and size of the roll did not disappoint. I’m obsessed with crispy rice tuna and the fact that they had it on their menu really pushed me to give this place five stars. Five solid pieces of crispy rice spicy tuna and a large chunk of avocado on top, drizzled with some spicy mayo and eel sauce… Chefs kiss. If I’m in the area I’ll definitely be returning for round two there’s a few more specialty rolls I’d like to try. They’ve got plenty of other options if sushi isn’t your thing from rice bowls to fried rice and array of appetizers and one of my favorite options Ramen. If you got a hankering for some sushi I highly suggest taking a stop in and giving it a try… I don’t think it will be disappointed in the slightest?“

“Ordered from doordash, everything was outstanding from the sushi to the hibachi, teriyaki, and fried rice. We're very picky about sushi and this roll was delicious and fresh. They forgot my fried rice at first, but I called and they brought it to my door within 10 minutes.“

The lunch box is a great deal too at around 14 bucks. The also have a lunch special where you can pick 2-3 regular rolls with soup and salad. Which I can totally own because when I originally started coming here it was just sultan wok and now it is sultan wok/ Asian Express. This is my top choice spot for Chinese takeout locally. To the point where when they are closed and I want Chinese takeout, I just wait until they're open and get something else. My go-to is the general tso is chicken, with which I like to treat myself for lunch when I am working from home. Is this the best Chinese food I've ever eaten, I don't know. Does it satisfy the craving when I have it, absolutely. I would say there are days when I think their food is particularly better than others, without rhyme or reason, but I do tend to find their food tends to be better more often than it's not. Not. I also like when general tso chicken has a nice crunch to it and they tend to have better chicken than other places. I don't think I've ever had it and it'd be soggy unless I'm reheating it which does not count. The woman there tends to be very friendly. Who takes the orders, they have to have a system that gives the name of the customer because she always knows my name and greets him with a hello Mike when she answers the phone. Now if I ordered more regularly I could totally see her knowing my name. However, I do not order frequently enough for her to know who I am, which makes me think they have to have some sort of system. Either way it's nice or is she just that good at her job. All in all, I don't think you can go wrong. Getting takeout from here. I've tried some other spots in town with high recommendations and have been sorely disappointed. I hate soggy chicken and I've never gotten soggy chicken from here.“
