“The food was really good, and the staff was super nice. It was also affordable. My friend and I were able to order a tray of food to share for only $25, and we had food to spare. Also the Passionfruit juice is very good. The meat in our meal was also very tender and flavorful.“
“A wonderful Portuguese/Brazilian/American fusion cuisine restaurant. A unique dining experience with music and exceptional service. Orlando, the restaurant owner, is a true gentleman; genial and always welcoming. The menu provides unbelievable fare, Saturday especially with feijoada, traditional Brazilian rice and beans experience. I truly wonderful restaurant in our renaissance city of Newark, New Jersey. An unexpected gem. Enjoy.“
“Absolutely fantastic. My partner has celiacs and it was so special to be able to go out for a really nice meal and share our food without worry. The food came out quickly, it was delicious, and the service was great. I will absolutely be coming back and will be recommending it to everyone!Dietary restrictions: Fantastic Gluten Free food!!!!!“
“Excellent food in a very cozy and Brazilian atmosphere. We ordered a mixed barbecue for 4 and everything was delicious. We were served by Natalia, super attentive and polite. For dessert we had pudding, delicious. It's worth eating there.“
“Jefferson nos atendeu como um verdadeiro marketeiro . Sabe vender ofereceu os produtos com explicação de tudo com detalhes . Parabéns por ter um funcionário super dedicado . Quantos os produtos sempre deliciosos com sabor de Brasil. Mais o açaí foi o melhor que já comi aqui na América . Parabéns . Nota 1000 .“
“This restaurant is delicious!!!!!I had a very tasty and fresh sausage today! All the food is very delicious and I love it when I can stop by this place, I know there is always something delicious to eat❤️I also love their pudding❤️❤️❤️“
“Small place but saw the ratings and thought my wife (who is Brazilian) would give it a shot for breakfast. The food was made fresh and was it ever delicious ?. The crepe with Carmel, bananas and cinnamon was RIDICULOUSLY DELICIOUS.Parking: Parked across the street, easy to find and walk over.“
“A friend and I stopped by after driving for hours looking at apartments. We were just hungry and desperate for good food. Divina Frontera exceeded any expectations we had. We came around 6-7pm and everything we ordered (which was a lot) still came out fresh and delicious. I must say one of the things I’m most excited about moving to Elizabeth is being close to this gem.“
“So many empadinhas, so little time! They got empadas, rizzolis, coxinhas, pães doce, bolo de milho, broas, sonhos.... Everything extraordinary beautiful, clean and super friendly. You can take them cold, room temperature, freezing or hot. I loved thd place and its owners are super efficient and ultra nice!!“
“I live in the Ironbound, but the prices and quality of food is so much better here. The meat is of excellent quality and the service is great. If you come on a Sunday like I did, get here before 1pm because it gets packed quickly. The place is small but very nice. The parihada for 2, is enough for 3 or 4.“
“Jacaré is a bar where as soon as you enter you feel at ease, cold beer and delicious snacks such as fried cassava, crispy pork rinds, etc. At night there is karaoke where everyone sings with you, even the bar owner who masterfully manages his business.“
“We ate there for my moms birthday and the attentiveness of the servers was great. Our drinks were never empty and the staff really worked to ensure we had everything we needed, which was no small feat with a party of 11. The food was cooked perfectly and the paella, cabrito, and sword fish were phenomenal. Would definitely recommend.“
“The best Brazilian restaurant in NJ. Delicious food, each bite is a flavorful journey through Brazil's rich culinary heritage, from tender churrasco to savory feijoada. The attentive staff ensures every need is met with warmth and hospitality, making every visit a memorable. A must-visit for any food enthusiast seeking an authentic taste of Brazil!“
“Reading previous reviews, it's obvious that the management takes constructive criticism and makes improvements. Our server was great, friendly and informative. The food was fantastic- the beer wasn't cold but that's really the only negative. It's not cheap but it is worth it ! Thanks for a nice night out.“
“I consider myself a connoisseur of Leitao and have to say that this was the best I have eaten in Newark and many other places I have visited. It was tender and crispy and tastefully seasoned. Their shrimp rissois are also amazing along with their coconut cake which are only a few of the things I’ve tried. It’s a must try for sure… Congrats to the owner!“
“From the moment you walk in - the warm welcome from the awesome staff to the very chic decor and once the food came - The salmon was The Best Salmon - cooked to perfection accompanied by a salad. A fun night and don’t miss the entertainment #funfunfun @lindaslist“
“An experience that I recommend for any “Brazilian” Sushi lover. The variety is so great, it’s impossible to eat everything. Tasty food and fantastic service. We chose the rotation option and the very attentive Rodrigo didn't keep us waiting. Great service and nice music!“
“The service is very good, they are very friendly. The food is good, they have good seasoning, I ate several skewers, the only one I didn't like was the shrimp one, the flavor was good, but very uncomfortable to eat because the shrimp do not come peeled and it is very difficult to consume them.Parking: They don't have parking, you can park on the street.“
“This was the best restaurant I’ve been to in a while. We stumbled upon it by accident after striking out with two other restaurants in the area, and I’m so glad we did! The place was elegant, service was friendly and extremely attentive, and the food quality and quantity were impressive! Will definitely return next time I’m in the area.“
“Ponto de Encontro is a small family-owned Portuguese bakery and deli found in Hillside. As is expected of a Portuguese cafe, they make delicious coffee and espresso. The owner was very friendly and makes you feel warm and welcome! The menu overhead lays out prices and sandwich options, such as the Portuguese breakfast staple, the tosta mista. For baked goods, which are homemade, I noticed that they had pao de deus, bolo de arroz, and pastel de natas. For savory snacks, they have bolinhos de bacalhau (codfish balls) as well as a variety of flavored empanadas and croquettes. I went for an espresso along with a nata and a bolinho de bacalhau. The nata was excellent - a defined crisp crust and the perfect amount of filling and creaminess.“

“This is definitely a place where locals go. I was in the area for some business and stopped for a quick lunch where it was packed. The hostess didn't speak English and my broken Spanish unfortunately didn't get us anywhere. I think they had a typical lunch meal that everyone was eating but we couldn't understand her so she just gave us a menu and we ordered dishes from there. DELICIOUS food and huge portions but was just a bit intimidating.“
