“Huge fan of this place. Amazing curries. I think their noodle dishes are good too but I always get one of their curries. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Most dishes are somewhat modular and you can select tofu, mock chicken or mock duck, all of which are vegan friendly.“
“The only Thai place I will order from in the entire Philadelphia vicinity. The best staff. The best food. The best experience. I will forever give JJ Thai my business and always recommend them to friends & family. By the way, if your server is Air, be prepared because she is the absolute best server I have came across in any restaurant. I worked in the service industry myself, and to come across someone like Air is truly a blessing. She is so friendly, goes above and beyond, and always ensures the best customer service. Thank you JJ Thai and thank you Air for continuous unforgettable experiences.“
“The food was spectacular, the beef stir fry they have (which I was skeptical of when my family ordered, sounded good but sorta basic) was my favorite dish of this year and last year, it was sooooo good!!! It was incredibly flavorful and so tender. To top that off the owner was walking around the room, charming folks and checking in, all the service felt attentive but not invasive or overbearing, I felt incredibly respected and appreciated while there. I told them it was my parent’s wedding anniversary and they complimented them on it multiple times, all of the staff suddenly knew and they got a free appetizer to congratulate them. It really was a special experience from start to finish. I don’t go to a lot of fine dining but I expected the portions to be tiny and the atmosphere to be haughty, it was not! Very bubbly and fun atmosphere, good spacing between our table and others, the portions were perfect and the kitchen was a machine with cranking out spectacular dish after spectacular dish! I am moving out of town soon, but I would come back and eat here as a special event. It was really that good.My knowledge of Thai food is limited to pad Thai and Tom Yum, this experience has made me want to try more Thai food and branch out!“
“Nice atmosphere, the waiter was really attentive, lots of options on the menu and the food came out quickly and tasted amazing. I also loved that they had a lot of different mocktails on the menu. I got Dan Dan noodles and the sunset marteani and everything was so good. Would definitely come again to try more of their “
“Amazing place! Authentic Thai restaurant, family owned with great, outrageously delicious food. I am not exaggerating. Ordered Chicken Satay and a Chicken on Tamarind sauce. Sophisticated flavor, presentation, great service and ambiance. New favorite!“
“This place is just recently opened and received pretty good reviews, so I decided to try it out.everything we ordered was tasty with a generous portions, but the flavor was just too sweet for me and my boyfriend. I know Thai food is sweet, but this is another level of sweet. And the coconut noodle soup, it has no flavor and tasted so coconuty. It would have been better if they use rice noodle or glass noodle instead of vermicelli noodle. The ambience is plain, but it looks new and clean. The color of the building looks unattractive in my opinion.Service is good, but it takes awhile for the food to come out. They seem to be more busy with takeout orders.Overall, a decent Thai food with good portion and reasonable price. Tip: pay in CASH, you’ll get 5% off and they also accept Venmo.“
“Stopped in here today for lunch. I was looking for a specific dish I had been craving and while it wasn't in the lunch menu they made it for me no problem. Great service. Friendly staff. Good food. Give it a try. Try the Numtok Beef and get ready for a real flavor experience.“
“I recently visited Grandma Philly with my husband and we had an amazing dining experience! The Thai dishes were absolutely delicious and we couldn't get enough. Our server, Hunter, was not only attentive and friendly, but also super cool and knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a date night. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you Grandma Philly and Hunter for a fantastic evening!“
“I have both had takeout and dined in at Chatayee. Food is always delicious and I appreciate all of their vegan and vegetarian options (there is even a separate vegan menu!) The waitress I had was incredibly sweet, lovely, and knowledgeable of the menu! I was with a big group and she handled us with grace and ease.“
“Absolute bang for the buck. I got the Katsu Platter as suggested by the many rave reviews. Perfect aromatic and sticky rice, handful of veggies/salad, topped with crispy light friend chicken katsu, and drizzled with Spicy Mayo and Sriracha. I got the fried egg as well. Sooooo goooodd and FRESH for $11. I’d recommend to eat it right away before the katsu loses its crisp. The box is sturdy enough to walk around and eat.“
“Well, this was quite a find. A must try for Thai lovers. Brand new place. We tried three duck dishes (pinapple, ginger, soup), tofu pad thai, and peanut chicken, all delicious and found in gorgeous ceremic plates. Service was impeccably attentive.“
“Excellent tasty food, prepared properly, and served by friendly servers. I have been here many times and am always delighted. An extensive menu should satisfy everyone, and the Thai dumplings are delicious. Many inexpensive choices for all tastes. Update March, 2024, as above, still A+“
“An unassuming thai restoraunt in the middle of nowhere (at least to me as a visitor of the city). It was a small cozy resto with decent service and some lowkey décor. Gold coloured cups was a plus. Chicken skewers - White meat was dry, but the peanut sauce was really good. Pad see ew - pad see ew was tasty. The stirfried dish was seasoned well with lots of different flavour. It was only missing a bit of char, otherwise really good. Would recommend. Some decent food, but as a tourist to the city, I would not be coming back. There are other restos for me to try. But as a local, I can see myself coming back to grab casual meals.“
“I've been a customer of Trio BYOB for almost a decade. And I can honestly say they're the best Thai restaurant in the city. Everything is always tasty and fresh. I like the fact that they have their own ordering website which works very well so you don't have to deal with tech disruptors and they also do their own delivery. The delivery guy is friendly, courteous and kind. But getting back to the food, they also offer creative specials which you can also order via delivery, as well as dining in. That includes desserts. And what desserts! Hazelnut torte, panna cotta. Very impressive. I rave about this place to everyone I know. Stop by and experience Thai food that is a cut above.“
“We stopped in close to closing for takeout and Joy at the counter was delightful and helpful. We ordered Massaman curry and Thai tea and both were made quickly. Now that we are home, we are discovering that their food is EXCELLENT. We look forward to going back and dining in.“
“I am so happy this place opened on 2nd street!! Everything my man and I ordered had such tasty and unique flavor. We ordered the drunken noodles (which I was so excited about and met my expectations), tofu fried rice, crab rangoon, and a few sushi rolls. My man usually says his food is fine, however, he said this place is BANGIN which amazed me. Atmosphere is gorgeous. Service is so sweet and kind although I do think our waitress could have been a bit more attentive to details like water refills, empty plates, etc…I didn’t even mind though because she was so sweet and amazing in every other way. I can’t wait to try more items on the menu and am glad nolibs finally has great sushi!!!!“
“My time at this restaurant was excellent. I enjoyed the well-made food and the ambiance of the place. This was my first time coming to a restaurant that allowed you to bring your alcohol to the place, and I loved it.Additional Note:For spice enthusiasts, this restaurant offers unique flexibility. You can adjust the spice level of your dish on a scale of 1 to 5, allowing you to truly customize your dining experience.I recommend getting it at levels 4 or 5 for those who like spicy food. I asked for a level of 3 for spice, and the food tasted mild.“
“The smell of food lures you in to the welcome atmosphere. I ate the Spicy Basil Fried Rice with Chicken as my protien. If you are on a date this is perfect if both like spicy. I wasn't expecting the portion to be so big. Very surprising gem in Kensington. Nice chunks of chicken as well. I will be sure to try the mega popular soup when I return. After eating from this place, now the only Chinese food I will be eating is General Tso"s Chicken or Shrimp. Awesome eating.Vegetarian options: You can also request no protien for the fish specialty dishes as well.“
“Diving into Golden Triangle unveils not just a meal, but a passport to a culinary expedition specializing in the Southeast Asian flavors of Thailand, Malaysia, and Myanmar. Tucked away in the heart of Philly, this humble gem offers an intimate escape to distant lands with its quiet, casual ambiance and a cozy dining room that boasts no more than eight tables. Our adventure began with the Malaysian classic, Roti Canai -- a delightfuly crispy, flaky, chewy marvel that serves as a prelude to the symphony of flavors awaiting us. Paired with a rich curry chicken potato dip, this dish was a standing ovation in the making. Then came the Sambal Shrimp, a bold ensemble of shrimp reveling in a spicy brown sauce, creating a festival of taste that had every fork in the room longing for an encore. The Beef Rendang, while a masterpiece of flavor and tenderness with its slow-cooked, aromatic curry, left us longing for a second act, as the disappointing portion size was more of a soliloquy than a full-fledged aria.Despite the small dining room, Golden Triangle played the perfect host to our group of six (including a baby car seat), accommodating us at their sole large table--a testament to their ability to harmonize space and service. While the Mee Goreng and Penang Char Kway Teow flavors were well balance and added depth to our culinary journey, both dishes lacked a bit of the smoky "wok hay" that I was yearning for. The Burmese Kimchi introduced a zestful twist to the meal as it was our first time trying any Burmese food, but it wasn't particularly memorable. In the end, the Roti Canai and Sambal Shrimp emerged as our favorites of the night.Overall, Golden Triangle is more than a dining destination; it's a quiet nook where flavors dance and diners are invited to a show that tantalizes the taste buds and warms the heart. With its intimate atmosphere and welcoming vibe, it stands out as a beacon for those seeking an immersive culinary experience in Center City. Here's to more explorations at this quaint culinary corner, where the world feels both vast and intimately close, all within the confines of its quiet, casual dining room.“
“They have a $10 lunch special which is unheard of in this economy - it's fallen off the website's menu but you can get any of the typical thai favs (red curry, drunken noodles, etc.) with rice and a side salad. Generous portions, too. Just be sure to call ahead to ensure they're offering it before going in! I'm always a fan of a fried wonton and their golden bags are a good app to pair with your lunch special entree.“
“I ordered the drunken noodles with tofu. The tofu could have used a little marinating before cooking but the flavor of the drunken noodles was dynamite with just a hint of spice! I also ordered the crabmeat fried rice...I was a little skeptical about this order as I don't like a lot of seafood but the flavor was absolutely delicious! I also ordered the calamari which was enjoyable as well. I appreciated the well plated presentationof the dishes. The servers were very pleasant and accommodating as well as attentive! I will definitely be back! The bathroom was very clean. I gave this 4 stars only because the tile ceiling in the dining area had stained tiles right in the middle of the serving area... Something that I would prefer not to have right where I'm eating. This may not even be there fault if they are renting the spot... But this is an easy fix. Otherwise I would have given them 5 stars.“
“This was a surprise on our 5th night in Philly. We had a group of small plates. Pork dumpling in chili oil, glazed sting beans, Indian pancakes with curry, peking duck buns, and Singapore noodles. If the food is this quality all the time, they have hit a home run. Add in the excellent drinks menu with well crafted alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and there is nothing to fault here. Would definitely come back.“
“It’s been a few months since I last ordered from Asian Fresh Kitchen. As they say first impressions last !! The first time I ordered here the food was amazing, the second not so good. Last night feeling under the weather, I decided to give Asian Fresh Kitchen another shot.II ordered General Tso’s chicken, vegetable, lo mein, one shrimp roll, and two orders of chicken on a stick. I ordered on Uber eats and within about 20 minutes the driver arrived. the food was delivered in a paper bag that was sealed. The food was piping hot. I was really impressed with how well it was packaged. To my delight General Tso’s Chicken was moist, savory, spicy and delicious the broccoli was perfect !!! The vegetable lo mein was very tasty ? The noodles were cooked to perfection !! Chicken on the stick was a first for me. I thought that it was Salty, crunchy and very tasty and lastly the shrimp roll was moist and delicious.I’m not sure what happened this past summer when something just seemed to change here but regardless these pictures and this tasty food says that Asian Fresh Kitchen is back on track serving delicious savory Chinese food !! Take a look ? you know your mouth is watering, so do what’s right and make that phone call and order some of this amazing food !!! Well Done Asian Fresh Kitchen !!“
“While the dusty old interior might give you pause, this is one of the best OG Thai meals in town. Fresh, tasty, and plentiful, the food here is like being welcomed by a most hospitable Thai mom (and yes, the kitchen is run by authentic Thai chefs). Deliciously wholesome and satisfying every time (and vegetarian and vegan accommodating). Plus, the waitstaff embody that same authentic hospitality -- always warm, attentive, and gracious. This restaurant is truly a neighborhood gem.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options, and the kitchen will accommodate vegan too :)Dietary restrictions: The kitchen can make special accommodations.“
“My husband and I were at the Spector center for squash and looking for a good place for dinner. We popped over to Lemon Grass and had a delicious dinner with the nicest staff. The drunken noodles were just what I needed on a cold, rainy night.I ended up leaving my purse there and they were super nice getting back to me letting me know they had it. They even let us pick it io before they opened. We will definitely be going back there!“
“Need a tasty authentic lunch before you meander through the Mutter (which has no restaurant)? The dear lady here interrupted cutting and folding her banana leaves to seat a weary traveler taking a few hours of “medical me-time.” Simple and clean, small homely place, only a few steps from the museum. My soup, followed by Tilapia were both super tasty and presentation was impeccable. Belly filled with Thai tasty treats, I took on the museum with vigor and excitement.“
“Great little place + very decent prices for these days, i've been steady disappointed by Thai lately and can't afford even a lot of hole in the wall places. It's very rare that a curry is fully flavorful, they were nice, simple cute spot, definitely was busy with tons of takeout, cooked fresh so there was a bit of a wait which seemed normal considering it's a small spot. Rare to find a place worth going back! The Thai iced tea was correct!“
“Oh my goodness, the service was awesome. We were on out way to Washington DC and the server tried his utmost to get our food in the shortest time. We ordered Thai fried rice and Pad z Ew and it was the right spicy and absolute great taste. If you're in the area, don't miss out on delicious taste and superb “
“Ordered the coconut salmon and it did not disappoint. Incredible sauce with a perfectly cooked piece of salmon. The spicy flavoring really gave it a unique kick. Absolutely delicious, only thing that would have made it perfect is that I would have liked slightly more rice to balance out the sauce-heavy dish.“
“Big fan of Thai food and sometimes hard to find places that have vegetarian curry without fish sauce, but this place does it! Might be my favorite Thai place in Philly! They are also so great about customizing dishes and adding vegetables, etc. Also very good about accommodating allergies. Highly recommend the red curry, chive cakes, spring rolls, and Thai iced coffee!Vegetarian options: Curry can be made without fish sauceDietary restrictions: VegetarianSesame seed, coconut, tree nut allergies“
“The salmon was really tender and delicious. The rice however was really mushy and grainy? This was my first time trying Thai food so maybe that’s how it’s supposed to taste. I can’t speak on service and atmosphere because the food was bought for me. I wouldn’t eat the rice again but the grilled salmon and chicken spring rolls were great.“
“Spicy Chicken Thai Fried Rice along with Fried Pork Dumplings (8pc) and . Bun Bo Hue (Hue Spicy Noodle Soup) was so delicious... I always order from here and had only one bad experience other than that, the food is always fresh, flavorful and delicious!!! Will be ordering again...“
“Love the Mei Fun - must try if you haven't! I always add some soy sauce and some it up, but that's a personal preference. Reheats well the next day.Vegetarian options: AvailableKid-friendliness: Daughter loves the lo meinParking: Front“
“Excellent food. Fine quickly to order. Staff is friendly and willing to answer any questions. Especially request like food allergies are handled without question. Spicy level is managed well. I'm not had a bad meal here. I just wish they sold the soup and gallon drugs because it's so good.“
“Checking out my new neighborhood and came across this Thai restaurant when I was getting my hair done next door. The restaurant is super cute with cute bamboo lamps. The server came out quickly to order my food and food came out very fast. I ordered the shrimp satay and the Thai Basil Chicken. Disclaimer, the shrimp satay was delicious but came out with the shell and tail on and the shell was hard to take off but the sauce on the shell was delicious. It came with a mint sauce that was tasty too. The Thai Basil chicken was also delicious - there was some part of my dish that was cold while the other parts were hot - not sure why. But the food was tasty. I wish I got to try other things like the pad Thai, but I will be back!“
“I have ordered from here for delivery more than once and it's phenomenal. Perhaps they do more business that way. Went to the restaurant for a sit down lunch and the food was excellent, as always. The service was really lacking. It wound up being a two-hour lunch, not because my friend and I were being leisurely, but because we couldn't get the staff's attention. Will keep eating their food, but will order for delivery again.“
“We ordered late, at 9:30 pm , for delivery. The came fast, hot, and delicious. First, sorry for the late order, our cat went into labor earlier today and we lost track of time. Second, thank you so much for the continued excellent food and service.“
“First time ordering from Bangkok City! I had the crispy duck in a basil red curry sauce. Back story, I use to live in center city and use to get this dish at Erawan in Philly. When I moved to Jersey it’s been difficult to find a Thai restaurant not alone my favorite Thai dish. The couple places I tried didn’t measure up to Erawan and was a disappointment. I am pleased to say that I finally found my duck! A 25 minute drive but well worth the trip! Also great customer service was a plus!“
“Located on the main route through Moorestown it was a very nice space to enter and be greeted with wonderful aromas. Started with the Chinese pizza. It was a type of flat pancake with very delicious sesame seeds and scallions. The dipping sauce was and another burst of flavor. The Orange beef was very good. The meat was tender and an explosion of flavor. The ingredients seemed very fresh. The Bean curd with Szechuan sauce was very excellent. The veggies were crisp and the sauce was a good proportion to the rest of the dish. The owners were very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. Also it seemed that many people ordered out from there. When you are in Moorestown, be sure to stop by.“
“Asian Bamboo is our favorite Chinese restaurant. The food is always cooked perfectly & tastes delicious. The customer service is amazing as well! We forgot to ask for one of the items to be prepared a certain way when we placed a recent take out order. We called them to ask if it was too late to get our item changed. They were gracious & understanding. They prepared our item just as we asked and it was super yummy!“
“Why do Thia restaurants always claim Japanese fist in their name? I learned much conversational Japanese while training with Hikaru Nakamur and am almost certain no one here speaks it. I notice the same thing with Pakistani restaurants, they always put Indian in their name first.“
“Best Vietnamese noodles shop in Philadelphia China town. We go every time when visit Philadelphia for many years. Food quality is consistently good. We ordered special beef noodle soup and BBQ pork chops. Other people also asked what is my order since the pork looks so good and smells so good too. They are also nice people that allow our dog in, sit under the table.“
“Baan Thai is one of my absolute favorite spots in the city. Food is consistently delicious and fresh, the owners make you feel so welcomed and comfortable! The veggie dumplings, drunken noodles, spring rolls, roti, and pan fried chive dumplings are some of my favorite items and could genuinely eat it 7 days a week. Love this place and always look forward to visiting!“
“Chicken pad thai was amazing! Not too spicy, the flavor brought me back to Thailand! But the thai tea boba had overcooked tapioca pearls that weren't to my liking. But the staff was extremely friendly and wasn't mad after my daughter threw a bowl on the ground and smashed it.“
“I can't recommend Jay's enough! The food is consistently great and they have a lot of options, especially if you have dietary restrictions. The owners are friendly and remember your order. This is the only place I will go to for Asian cuisine in South Jersey. Definitely worth it!“

“I ordered the Philly roll, salmon roll, and tuna roll. Portions of fish in the rolls were decent. Some a little better than others. The Chinese pizza/scallion pancake is tasty but on the crunchier side. The miso soup was good but mostly broth, not a lot of tofu. Would order again.“
“This is an update on my past takeout experience. It's usually bustling here weekends and late nights and but I managed to get a pleasant server with my own table on a Sunday evening by chance. The food is always good and affordable with a great selection of dishes but not the usual overwhelming menu which I appreciate. The green curry dish and Tom yum soup are my favorites as well as special Thai noodle dishes and of course their house 3 course fried (or boiled) chicken with ginger rice and radish side soup. So affordably priced and great for lunch or supper, but do expect a wait to be seated - it's a small local joint but mixed crowd. Only street parking on busy Race Street between 9th & 10th!“
“Don't let this dinner foundation fool you. This place is a magnificent, a true rough cut diamond. Fast seating, food options are vast, and the quality of food is astonishing. Please please please, take a moment to stop and simply enjoy what this establishment has to offer. Trust me, you won't regret it.“
“We were driving by and found this great Thai place. They have a good vegetarian options and each item that we ordered was very well prepared. It’s definitely budget friendly for Thai cuisine. I would rate this place very high on customer service.“
