“Took my wife here during a conference trip to have a nice lunch and I must say the overall experience did not disappoint. We ordered an assortment of different oysters to start with. Sampling the flavor profile of each oyster was not only delicious but extremely fun as a couple. After oysters and wine, my wife ordered the lobster roll and I had the house clam chowder. The lobster was perfectly cooked and the position size was double that of the perfectly toasted and buttery brioche bread it was on. The fries were homemade and very good. I will say that they could have double fried them to make them a bit more crispy but overall very good. The clam chowder was very rich with smoke amounts of bacon, the smokey flavor from the bacon was a nice addition. The waiter was very attentive and took the time to engage and make a human connection, which is much appreciated. Overall, great experience and I would return here in the future.“

We split the spicy chicken empanadas, delicious, however, we did not detect the spice. We split the green chili Caesar. Honestly, the best Caesar in town. I do t see how they get it so cold and crisp, it's amazing! We then each had a ceviche. The baby shrimp, which were much bigger than anticipated, such wonderful flavor! My daughter had the crab, the server suggested mixing it right away to get the sauce mixed in. Very good! It did need more liquid. We simply poured the extra shrimp sauce in the crab, it was superb after that. The tomato on the shrimp just gives it more moisture and such a good flavor! We can't wait to go back!“

The "Brown Butter" dessert, the name of which sounded rather unappetizing on our first visit, turned out to be one of the highlights. Definitely try it. “The Rittenhouse Grill is was truly elegant and romantic. Live piano set the mood. Beautiful ambient lighting. Not to loud to converse. Our table order Ribeye steak (12 oz) Jumbo Lump Crab cake. Our sides were sautéed mushrooms, creamed spinach, roasted brussel sprouts and Corn. Just wonderful and delicious. Drinks were always filled up! Loved the excellent service and the kindness from the waiters and servers. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who loves elegant fine dining experience.“

Their warmth and professionalism added to the overall positive experience. It truly felt like dining among friends, thanks to the camaraderie and genuine hospitality present in the atmosphere. One aspect that stood out to us was the unmistakable sense of family at piston diner. From the way the staff interacted with each other to the comforting ambiance, it was evident that this establishment is more than just a place to eat - it's a community hub where patrons are treated like extended family.Furthermore, we were deeply touched by the diner's evident respect and appreciation for the military. It's heartening to see a business that honors those who serve our country, and it speaks volumes about the values upheld at Piston diner. If we lived in the area, Piston diner would undoubtedly become a regular haunt for our family. It's the kind of place where you feel at home from the moment you walk in, and where the combination of delicious food and heartfelt hospitality keeps you coming back for more.In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Piston diner to anyone passing through or residing in the area. “Bacio strikes again! Kudos to our friends Pam and Chef Robert! Thier pre-cooked Valentine's Day Dinner for 2 was amazing! From the salads all the way thru to the desserts, every course was fantastic. And the best part is that the portions were large enough that we will switch our entrees and get another full meal out of it! Thanks again for a great dinner!“

“Nestled in the vibrant streets of Philadelphia, Charlie Was A Sinner. is a haven for those seeking a culinary experience that transcends expectations. With its inviting ambiance and innovative plant-based cuisine, this restaurant captivates the senses and leaves a lasting impression.Let's dive into the star of the show: the food. Each dish at Charlie Was A Sinner. is a work of art, meticulously crafted to delight even the most discerning palate. From the first bite to the last, every flavor sings in perfect harmony, showcasing the creativity and skill of the culinary team. However, I must address a notable aspect of our dining experience—the service. While the staff was friendly and accommodating, there were some shortcomings that impacted the overall enjoyment of our meal. In particular, our server seemed lacking in knowledge of the menu, unable to provide accurate information about certain dishes' ingredients. This became especially problematic when attempting to accommodate dietary restrictions at our table. Rather than consulting the chef or kitchen staff for clarification, our server seemed uncertain and unable to provide the necessary assistance.Despite this hiccup, I must commend the kitchen for their flexibility and willingness to accommodate our dietary needs once the issue was brought to their attention. Their dedication to ensuring a positive dining experience did not go unnoticed and ultimately salvaged what could have been a disappointing situation. In conclusion, while Charlie Was A Sinner. excels in its culinary offerings, there is room for improvement in the realm of service, particularly in staff knowledge and communication. Nonetheless, I remain impressed by the restaurant's commitment to delivering exceptional plant-based cuisine and look forward to returning for another memorable dining experience.“
