“Came here at 8:30 on a Friday night with my family and the place was surprisingly empty. Ahmed, the owner, gave us a warm welcome and prompt service. He gave us several recommendations (we ordered them all) and every dish was great. We got the branzino, the lamb chops, the half grilled chicken, hummusand mishwia. While every dish was truly tasty, my two favorites were the branzino and mishwia. I told Ahmed it was my parents anniversary and he gave us tea and baklava on the house. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone. The food, the hospitality, and the service is top notch.“

“I chose the vedge experience to try 3 dishes and desert for $65/person. All the plates were not only uniquely thought through and delicious, but also presented like works of art. I really enjoyed the creative balance of flavors they used from only plant sources that even mimicked non-vegetarian dishes I've had before. Menu rotates seasonal so I will be returning soon and is well accomodating for gluten free patrons. An experience well worth trying“
“Had “The Paesano” from Paesano’s in Philly yesterday. This is in the Italian market area of South Philly which I love (aside from finding parking) and the people who worked here were all super friendly and helpful.I posted a picture with the ingredients for this one. This had a flavor that I’ve maybe never tasted before all wrapped in one. I enjoyed how it all played off each other (I could eat pepperoncini on anything and be happy too) and the roll was wonderful.Unfortunately I will say that the brisket was a bit tough, which surprised me. I believe it was cut on the wrong angle but there were multiple bites where I really had to tear at it. Had this brisket been as tender as it should have, I’d put this sandwich up against most sandwiches in the city…and I mean that. It's a rare occasion when you feel like you're really having an absolutely special moment in a restaurant, but this place is the real deal! “We’ve been eating here for years and recently hired them to cater dessert for our wedding this past December at Bok building. They were easy to work with and the donuts were amazing as always. The peanut butter cream filled doughnut had peanut butter mixed in with the cream filling, the Nutella just has Nutella spread on top. Plenty of variety even in cream filled doughnuts. The flavor of the blueberry fritter was top 2 for a non-apple fritter. Not as heavy and crispy as I like a fritter though.Choosing from 2 cases of minimum 30 doughnut 0 do not recommend.Eating any variety of doughnut they have: 10/10 would recommend going every day for 2 weeks to try them all and enjoy favorites. “I’ve been here for brunch and happy hour. Great breakfast menu and the food is spectacular. The rooftop is a must see. The only issue is that you have to go all the way to the basement to use the restroom and you aren’t able to take the stairs to exit out the first floor. The happy hour food is great, but the drink offerings and discounts are thin. Something to be aware of: the “dirty double” martini is not actually a double, so that’s kind of misleading. Service and food are great though, so I definitely still recommend checking this place out!“

My friend and I shared the deviled eggs and cheese board (which had 4 kinds of cracker/biscuit options.) He had the Sunday roast (a very large portioned meal) and I the rabbit pie (think dark meat chicken and you'll be fine lol.) The London Fog cocktail was a delight with its earthy earl gray gin and fresh juice. All of this set in a Victorian period home. Only downside is the lack of accessibility for those with wheelchair or ambulatory differences.“

I had the g free pretzoli and only wish I had stocked up on some other Gfree pretzel treats. The pretzel itself was chewy and delicious. It's a lovely shop, the "organized clutter" of a college store perhaps, instantly welcoming and such a friendly informed person (Jeff) and (the reason I went to the source) exceptional coffee. I have yet to try the beans: that's whats for breakfast tomorrow! New town for me and new connections made!“

“My husband has celiac but was also insisting that we have a wedding cake for us to cut at our wedding. None of the Italian bakeries in Philadelphia offer GF so I looked around for other bakeries and found High Fidelity. I stopped in one day to see if they could make a custom cake for us — not only did they do that with only a weeks notice but the cake turned out beautiful and absolutely delicious! Brady and Janette were incredibly kind and helpful and we can’t wait to try everything else they make!“

It was our first time here, and while I love spicy food - you never know what to expect when you visit somewhere new. We ordered our dishes medium heat/spice level, and it was perfect. There was a little bit of heat, but deeply flavorful heat. The cocktails were only $10 and there were so many infused vodkas to choose from! We also tried the French toast crepe, which has an egg incorporated into the batter. Interesting. The espresso is good but the cappuccino is weird; they don't pour the milk through the crema at all, so it's mostly foam on top of a single shot. It can be folded through but I think next time I'd just get an espresso here. I really like that they have reusable cutlery and crockery, and service is brisk even when they're crowded. They also have a bunch of pastries if you're looking to grab and go. No parking lot but free street parking up to two hours. Friendly staff.“
