“We dined at Koy Grill two times now - once for lunch, and once for dinner. The food was excellent both times. The chicken shish and chicken chop were flavorful, juicy and tender - the best shish and chop I ever had. We chose bulgar as our side dish included with our entree, the other choice would have been white rice. The bulgar was incredible - light, fluffy, and well spiced. We started our meal with an appetizer. We choose the lentil soup which was delicious - again properly spiced. We also had the smoked eggplant dip - it was made with well prepared tiny cubes of eggplant with a delicious tomato based sauce. Gerard was our server, he did an excellent job explaining the dishes and his service was on-par. The atmosphere was elegant and peaceful. Even for dinner when the restaurant was completely full of patrons, the noise level was not overwhelming. For dessert, we had both the pistachio and walnut baklava as well as the mango sorbet. All were as a great at the meal itself. We ended our meal with a homemade Turkish tea which was flavorful and sweet - a nice way to end our meal and enjoy the Koy Grill ambiance.“
“My favorite cafe in NJ! Run by a wonderful woman who is an excellent cook/baker! I'm not a vegan but there's something for everyone here! The fresh breads and creamy lattes are my favorite! I've had everything on the menu at this point but she has specials that I'm always excited to try“
“Tried this Halal Turkish place for their all day breakfast. The platter was great and came with Omelette and bread. Loved the pot of Turkish tea that was good for two people for 4 rounds each :-).Bakery was full of fresh stuff. Everything looked to be made in store.Service was top notch. Will be back.“
“Current Review -Was in mood for Kabobs in this cold weather and stopped at this place late evening. Ordered Lamb Chops, Lamb Shank Pulao and Chicken Kofta Kabobs.Didn’t disappoint me. Amazing taste, flavorful and had authentic reflections of Mediterranean cuisine. Their Lamb items are the best among the list.Their complementary Bread and Salads with different sauces is noteworthy. My recommendation is Lamb Chops and Lamb Shank Pulao. Shank was so well cooked that the meat was falling off from the bone and literally melting in the mouth. It’s an open casual dining place. Plate portion is good, competitive price for excellent taste and food quality. Customer service was good this time and could be because of less traffic.A must visit is recommended if you crave for Mediterranean food. I will visit again.Review from 2 years ago -We family and friends visit for dinner and tried Chicken Chapli, Lamb Chop, Chicken Lentil Soup and Chicken Gyro. Undoubtedly, the Lentil Soup and Lamb Chop were best from the list. Customer service is not good for family dine-in.“
“Service was fantastic. Food was delicious. Appetizers were large. We had Instanbul Salad, hummus and liver for Appetizers. Everything was so tasty. The puffy "bread" was amazing with the olive oil. We ate chicken Alfredo, shrimp kebab, lamb gyro and lamb chops, never a complaint about the dinners. Plus we had some leftovers to take home. Desserts we ate were baklava, almond pudding, cheesecake, tiramasu, and tres Leche. They were all outstanding. Place was BYOB and a little pricey, but in my book, worth every penny.Parking: Plenty of parking spots available at 6:30pm but no parking spaces available at 9pm“
“My visit here was super enjoyable and everything was really tasty. They have really good portions and a variety of flavors through out the dish’s. I would recommend the baba ghanoush and any of the kebabs. This is also a BYOB restaurant which is very convenient. It’s Also very pretty inside and outside that adds to the great atmosphere. Would recommend to try here Forsure.Kid-friendliness: Kids allowedWheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp“
“This was the best Turkish restaurant I have ever been to. They had wonderful service, who work really hard and are the best waiters! The general atmosphere was also really nice, everyone was happy and enjoying the experience. The food was also the best I have ever had. Other restaurants in the area cannot beat this. I will be coming back, this was a memorable experience!“
“Every dinner here is above average- is that even possible? The (kosher) meat menu's large but everything is built on a theme. The knowledgeable waitstaff always guides us toward the best combinations. Last night we tried the stuffed eggplant appetizer- it was rich, salty, sweet, and sour. Probably not for everyone but it's now a favorite of ours. We also tried the pistachio lamb kebab, which was really unique and delicious. It came wrapped in a flatbread and covered in a tangy tomato sauce and ground pistachios. Super unique and tasty. Dessert was baklava made with kataifi and ground walnuts. My pancreas cried out for help while my taste buds told it to sit down. Totally worth the calories. Portions are huge- come hungry and prepared to take home leftovers.“
“We went for a family dinner, we were very pleased, it was superb in terms of both taste and hygiene, the waiters were friendly and very kind, and we would like to thank the boss, Mr. Nazim, for his interest and concern, he hosted us wonderfully.“
“As MiddleEasterner, I definitely suggest this high quality Turkish restaurant for Kebab lovers. The food was so delicious as you feel you are in Istanbul and the hospitality proves it.Don’t forget to order Ayran (yougurt drink) as drink and Keshkul as dessert.I will come back again !“
“Friendly and attentive staff. Excellent food!!! The complimentary bread is fantastic! You really can't go wrong with anything you order here. Highly recommend the grilled branzino, Istanbul mixed grill, pomegranate salad, and the pides. The grilled platters are excellent as well -- chicken shish, lamb adana, etc. Love the baklava as well. Try it! You won't regret it.“
“I have been meaning to stop here because it is really close to my house. Well, Valentine's meal for one was the perfect time to try it out. I had a falafel sandwich. The falafel was crispy outside, but soft and moist inside. It also came with tomato and lettuce (I skipped the raw onion). There were 3 very small ramekins of dressings. One was tzatziki, one was another white sauce similar to a thin mayo, and the third was a very flavorful hot sauce that tasted so good (I normally skip the hot sauce, but I could tolerate this one). Everything tasted fresh. You may want to get a side because the sandwich is on the small side, and I definitely could have used more sauce. I definitely want to go back and try more items from the menu.“
“I’m just going to say what a wonderful experience we had with friends of ours who tried Turkish & Mediterranean Cuisine for the first time. Please make a reservation if you coming during the weekend because they’re really busy. BYOB is a fantastic idea. The dishes are yummy.“
