“I love this original location of p.j. clarkes! i've been here so many times it's hard to rate just one time. the service is always on point and the food is consistent. an elevated gastropub menu focused on a raw/chilled bar. but don't skip the burger and the chicken pot pie, both is which are fantastic. the bar area is first come, first serve, and reservations are taken for the main dining. even without a reservation a wait for a table isn't that bad. plus the red and white checker table cloth is such a fun novelty. oh and did I mention the martinis are big, nice, and cold?“

“Went to a catered event there today. What a fun place! Very comfortable. Absolutely fantastic food!! Huge variety and really cool takes on comfort food. Deconstructed chicken and biscuits, brats in pretzel roll (pigs and a blanket) beautiful salad. I would come back for the food alone! And beautiful cocktails. Sampled espresso martini and cosmos. Both delicious not overly sweet perfectly balanced. Service was seamless. Everything seemed to appear exactly when you wanted it. I will definitely be going there again!!“

Not in the sense of taped up paper leprechauns or a tinsel HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY banner, but rather campaign photos of John and Robert Kennedy, as well as other candidates for office going back more than 100 years. It's one of the oldest bars in New York City, and decorated with historical markers, play tickets, political posters and buttons, as well as a painting of a naked lady! I liked that I could get up close to the stage and see someone perform who I'd also seen at a very large venue in Philly. I didn't get to try their food, but liked that you can also get food there. There seemed to be ample parking where you didn't have to worry about competing with residents to find a spot. If you're looking for something gimmicky, you won't find that here. Just down a down to earth place where it's the performer who is the draw and who keeps your attention.“

It was $45 for a small dish, but it felt like I was eating $45 bean sprouts. All I got were 10 pieces of marbled beef that looked like they were piled high on top.Inside is literally just a mountain of bean sprouts and nothing to eat.There are almost no other vegetables.Humanly speaking, that price is a waste of money. $45 is a rip-off.Still, I will go back to eat the pork cutlet stew.“

Quality of food is very good. It's a little small, which never caused me any problems, but something to keep in mind on busier days. Someone here complained in a review that it's expensive for the amount of food that you get but you're paying for quality not quantity. Plus it's still cheaper than the overpriced restaurants in Rutherford, which seem to prefer status over service.“
