“First, I have to say that this place is amazing!! We love it and the staff/service are great too. We have been going for a long time to buy from the bakery section but to actually sit and eat there, it’s been three times. Food is great, prices are great, and on Fridays and Saturdays they have live entertainment. They only negative is that the third time we went there it was packed and no tables were available. We were told we would receive a text so we sat outside in the car. We then noticed that a group of 3 were seated as soon as they walked in and a couple walked in and were taken to a table right away when we questioned the hostess she said nothing and smiled so I asked again why didn’t we receive a text and why were those people seated before us and she said the table took a few minutes to be ready which still didn’t make sense. We sat outside waiting for almost 15 minutes and others were seated right away. Mistakes happen and so we gave her the benefit of the doubt. We also tried to pay with a $50 Visa gift card and the cashier did not know how to do it so we had to pay with our debit. She claims it was declined but it has $50 and we called from there to prove it. Overall I still gave the restaurant as a whole a 5 because this is the first time today, 1/20/2024, that we had a semi negative experience. I definitely recommend this place.“

“I've been there a few times, but today I decided to leave a review because my family enjoyed the service from one of their new waiters - Michael. He was very friendly, willing to explain the different dish options, good conversation which started from the fact he decorated the coffee, as it's not the standard as it's not a coffee shop. You can tell he has the desire to serve and bring joy to the clients. The last time i was there for lunch I had really delicious steak with onions, and this morning for breakfast I had a yummy scrambled eggs with arepa con queso. It's a really casual place, but a good spot for a casual yummy meal, and the cost is much more friendly than the nearby Colombian chains.“

The food was amazing and the staff was extremely kind and patient. I changed my order about 3 times and the service was great and extremely patient with me. Next time I'm in the area it will be because of this place. P.S. Their pan de Bono and chorizo are out of this world if you're just looking for a quick bite.“

The menu presents a tour of the typical dishes of our country, including a rib broth, three-phase sancocho, suckling pig, tamale, arepa with cheese, chicharrones, patacones, empanadas and much more, very rich flavors and fair prices for this city. “I first ate here in 2012 with about 20 Colombian adoptees and have been back so many times despite not living in Queens. I thought it had a different name, but I recognize the decor. This place was amazing and we went around lunch time. Many of us have friends and family in Colombia and we loved this place so much. I remember going there with a friend and not really knowing for sure how to get there one time as we took the subway, but I was still able to locate it. During that weekend we also went to an overpriced place, attempting to be "upscale" and it was no where in the same category as this restaurant. They other place even ripped us on the bill because there were some many of us and they claimed we "must have bought alcoholic drinks". They ripped us off and a girl had to put it on her credit card to get the reservation and now the bill was about $300 to $375 more and we all knew what we ordered food wise and nobody drank I'm excess so we just all chipped in to cover this rip of. If that's not bad enough they had our event published in some magazine or newspaper. Don't waste your time with those places, go here and you will not be disappointed. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Ciao.“

“Honestly, given the prices on the menu and how cheap things were (considering inflation and everything else), I wasn't expecting much. Boy, was I wrong!! The chicken was hot, the rice was fluffy, And the beans were soft, just like they should be. The salsa verde was a little bland and tasted like water blended with just hot peppers if you ask me. It's a heavy dish and I'm used to having some kind of pickled side vegetables as a Korean (like cultido?) but I realize this isn't always the standard for some cuisines. Anyway, all of what I ate for $9 was too good. I'll be coming back as long as the establishment continues to fight the status quo of this ever spiraling country.“

“The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, spacious and with good service, it’s also comfy and has a great atmosphere. The food from my perspective did not meet my expectations, as for the paisita the rice was undercooked and the chicharrón was extremely greasy for all of us, so much that we all asked for it to be changed and they kindly did provide us with new pieces that were much better. The pechuga marinera was okay but was not an outstanding dish, locking freshness and flavor, the calamari felt very chewy and the chicken was very bland. The mojarra was well seasoned and fried and the ajiaco in my opinion was the best dish, that soup was delicious.I would be willing to give it another try with other dishes and try their bakery goods, it looked & smelled very promising from my view.“

“I loved it. I was pleased with the attention and the welcome of the people who work and serve there. They tell me that at night they have a great atmosphere. It was not very crowded, which made me feel comfortable. The food was fabulous. They have parking and very lively music. I went from the Bronx and I would gladly return. The portions of food are good. I ordered churrasco with fried yucca and for my son, churrasco with shrimp. We also ordered the Paisa tray. Everything was delicious and the pina colada is delicious. fantastic we enjoyed everythingParking: They have valet parking“

“Absolutely love the food here! IMO, it is hard to find an authentic Colombian joint that serves luscious food and showcases their origin's unique flavor. Each bite delivered a delectable and VERY satisfying punch. From their homemade hearty beef stew to their generous portions of tamales...my family loved every bit of it. All you heard was "WOW" for 5 straight minutes as we all dug into our food. Their bakery also had a wide selection of baked goods, which my kids absolutely loved. All in all, El Punto provides great service, amazing food, and good vibes.“

“We wanted to try something new and came across this spot in Flushing. When we entered at 11 am, the restaurant was packed. We ordered a Colombian Soda, one chicken empanada, one beef empanada, Huevos Pericos con Arepa, Queso y Mantequilla, and Calenteado con Carne a la Plancha y Pericos. The Colombian Soda was different from popular flavors in the US; it had a bubblegum flavor to it. The salsa that came with the empanadas was amazing. It had a little spice to it and just hit the spot. The salsa was so addicting. The eggs in both dishes were great, but overall the Calenteado con Carne a la Plancha y Pericos stood out more. The steak in the Calenteado con Carne a la Plancha y Pericos was flavorful and a nice piece.Overall, we would go back to try other menu items and their empanadas and salsa again. Their menu featured a variety of different dishes, as well as special dishes depending on the day of the week.“

“Has to be hands down the best Colombian food I have had! So I have been going to this restaurant for a few years now and it has never disappointed! The food, staff and atmosphere is top notch. For the cost of the food compared to how it tastes and quantity, you cannot go wrong! It's so good! The ambience is amazing, gives you traditional Colombian vibes and they offer live music on Friday, Saturday and Sundays! They feature different soup each day and they are all delicious! Highly recommend!“

“This place is always quite good. Actually, what really jumps at you is the service. Fast, and extremely friendly. The food is consistently good while nothing re-invents the wheel. Traditional Colombian dishes generously served and tasty. My favorite, whenever talking Colombian, is the bandeja paisa. White rice topped w 2 fried eggs, escorted by chicharron (fried pork rind), chorizo, avocado, maduros (sweet plantain), and steak. Nothing wrong with that. Daily specials are good as well, and deflect a slightly overpriced menu. Soups are done well and their sandwiches are reliable.“

“Visited for the first time recently, but definitely not the last! Best hot chocolate I’ve had in a while, and the guava and cheese pastry is not to be missed. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant for quiet conversation with a friend. A lot of people were working on their laptops when we got there and it seemed quiet and the music wasn’t distracting. Looking forward to returning and trying more things off the menu.“
