“It was like dining in a 5 star establishment. I had the surf & turf. The jumbo shrimp.was perfectly cooked and the steak tips unbelievably great. I never had their specialty desert cake. “Delicious and authentic Puerto Rican food. The yellow rice is soft and tasty; it is very well made. The pernil is also very well cooked but does lack a bit of seasoning, it still taste good but I think they cook can add a bit more seasoning to it and it will be PERFECT! I always feel like I am back at home whenever I order from Mis Raices.“

“Went with a party of 5 in a torrential rainstorm on a Saturday night place was packed. The service was outstanding regardless of the fact that all dining rooms and all tables were full. We had excellent service one of my criteria for a good review is a clean bathroom the bathrooms were spotless. The menu was fine. Then the waiter gave us the specials and we all ordered specials from what I could see. Everything was delicious two of our party ordered veal chops, smothered in marsala wine and mushrooms 2 nice sized chops per portion,another had red snapper with shrimp and a fresh tomato sauce.another had a paella that was large enough to feed several people. I ordered a halibut in a white wine caper sauce. The fish was fresh, but to be fair it was a bit dry and could've used more sauce. Platters of sides were served family style a huge platter of yellow rice, a huge platter of mixed vegetables and another big platter of the Crisp potatoes that look like potato chips, that are regularly served at most Portuguese restaurants. everyone enjoyed their food and I took a great deal home with me,had lunch and dinner for the next day. I was not able to see the bill, so I'm not sure what it came to, but it was reasonably expensive. considering that the dining rooms were full, and even people were eating at the bar our food came out hot fresh, and with very little wait. I would recommend. I cannot emphasize how excellent the service was. We had traditional red sangria, and also white sangria, which was delicious.“

“Just visited Gourmet Express Market for the first time to order empanadas for a party. The owners are so nice and helpful. They even gave me an empanada to try and I can see why the reviews are so good. The empanada was delicious. Can’t wait to serve the rest to my family and friends tonight!!!“
“Stopped by for lunch today and was blown away. Aside from over a dozen fried empanadas to choose from, they had five baked varieties on display. Inside is seating for 20, a soda fountain and a small drink fridge with about 10 options. Empanada are $6 but double the size you'll find elsewhere. I got the chicharrones de cerdo bowl. Served piping hot and fresh, the pork wasn't hard but had great flavor and chew. The sauteed red onions were a nice touch on top of a bed of fluffy white rice and iconic black beans. The squeeze of lime over everything married all the flavors together giving it that zesty acidity. $15.98 and well worth it, could only finish half.It took less than 10 minutes to prepare.Parking: Better off in the back or on a side street“

“I came in here with my mom and we ordered a bunch of empanadas. The service was really fast, even though we ordered about 15 or so. Without us even asking, they organized everything so that we knew which empanadas were which. The empanadas are pretty good. My favorite was the Thai chili chicken, it was the most flavorful and delicious!!“

“As a patron of the Tenafly location, I wanted to try the Montclair locale. Parking isn't great around there but we managed. The cocktails were good. There was a grilled octopus plate served with a salad as an appetizer and it was delicious! Most of the entrees were seasoned okay but nothing stood out. One of our 5 dishes came out wrong but corrected within 5 minutes. The original dish was meant for another table and we got the correct plate quickly. Noise level was normal for a Friday night. Very nice ambiance - decor wise. Would return.“

The unsung hero of the meal was the fresh baked bread that allowed the delicious sauce to be sopped up like sponge. The only real downside is the dining room that lacks any real character or vibe.“

It was not very crowded, which made me feel comfortable. The food was fabulous. They have parking and very lively music. I went from the Bronx and I would gladly return. “We were at Cravings Tapas for a live music performance by Gizem in early March when te restaurant was reserved for I’m guessing 80-100 diners. This bistro is full of warmth and hospitality was top level, starting with its owner Ms. Stani and her dedicated wait staff. The portions are as generous as the variety offered on the menu, ensuring that every diner leaves satisfied. But it wasn’t just about the food for us; we enjoyed Gizem’s live music which added another layer of charm to our experience. With performances ranging from French and Turkish melodies to English classics and even Persian and Indian songs, it was so much fun. Back to Craving Tapas: everything was delicious! And we tried over 15 different items from the menu at our table of four. Last but not the least is about the kitchen staff: kudos to its hard working crew and the chef for pushing out hundreds of tapas to dining room full to the brim without any delays. Not an easy feat. “I've only been here twice, but so far so good. My only complaint is that I wish they'd open earlier. I have to be at work by 8am, so if they opened at 7am instead of later I might be able to get breakfast here too. Also, they're not very transparent with pricing. Idk how I spent $17 on a dinner for 1 person. And the second time $13.“
