“The most recent time I dined in this restaurant, it was very busy so we were told to seat by one of the available tables. (One of the employees working that day told us to as she was taking orders from another group.) Our server was attending to other guests, so we waited several minutes without complaint. However, the owner, noticed that we were not being attended to, greeted us, and proceeded to take our drink and appetizer order! (I thought, now this is someone who has the pulse of his business!) After we received our initial order, the server took the rest of our order. (She was also very attentive and pleasant.)Now, the food: I ordered the 3 amigos salad, which was fresh and surprisingly fulfilling for a salad! It had three types of proteins: shrimp, chicken, and churrasco (grilled beef). The greens were also fresh. I loved it. All in all, the prices are reasonable and the food is always great! The vibe inside is comfortable with a whole lot of stimulation: well lit, large TV screens, music, and the buzz of chatter. The whole environment is lively! It's just a great place to dine and chill. So, if you're in the area, go in. My family loved this place! One of my local favorites.“

“This place, to me, is such an under-rated, undiscovered gem. Every time we are theremcrowded, we keep expecting it to be way more crowded as it's not a huge place, but the food and service are on par with some of the best tapas places around. And the prices are also Very reasonable too. They are unique, in that they are more Argentinian tapas then Spanish or Basque. So, in addition to favorites like paella, grilled octopus, and patatas bravas, there's also a decent selection of pastas and Italian fair via Argentina. And in warmer weather, the back garden can't be beat. Always fun music playing (often 80s dance or rock hits), homemade sangrias and a finished meal with free shots of Limoncello round out the meal. Friendly, top-notch service too. Let's keep this place going! They'd be worth the wait.“

But … I found the food to be lacking in taste (particularly the Gilda and Kroketas) and the presentation was similar to what my mother would have done. Not bad, just average. I read about its Basque heritage but nothing about the restaurant and food really felt Basque to me (and I lived in Spain for a few years, working in the Basque Country). “Flavorful and satisfying! We started with the Callos, which combined a slightly sweet delectable sauce with astoundingly tender chopped tripe (I would liken it to a savory marshmallow, almost). The chorizo and garbanzo played their part serviceably. We followed it with the Uni Palabok. The uni and caviar were very tasty, and it was nice to try quality ingredients. However, the relative intensity of the sauce somewhat drowned out the more delicate flavors of the uni and caviar.(From my wife who grew up eating Palabok, it is *extremely* elevated)Our last entree was the Lengua de Champinon, and it was phenomenal! The tongue was expertly cooked and wonderfully tender, and the creamy mushroom sauce was a great pairing for it.For dessert, they don't have it listed on the menu yet, but they had some Tres Leches cake available. The cake was perfectly saturated with milk sauce while maintaining it's form, and instead of the standard whipped cream, it had meringue on top which was quite interesting! It was a bit pricey, but the menu is online so that's no surprise.“

Grilled Salmon

“Uncle Peter’s was a wonderful dining experience! The service was great. Our entrees included the grilled skirt steak and pesto gnocchi. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the pesto gnocchi was very delicious— a great vegetarian option. The crème brûlée was fantastic, and delicious cocktails as well. Everything was top notch quality and there is nothing better than that ✨ would 100% come back and recommend to others ?“

“I truly, truly love Babs. I've been coming here for a few years specifically for the oysters with the champagne mignonette - it's phenomenal. The ambiance is sophisticated and intimate, great for a small group of friends or a date. It pains me to give them four stars but I have to because of the service - I swear the waitress looked right at my friend and I waiting for a table and hid in the back. There were plenty of tables, so the bartender asked us if we'd like to sit, and then went and asked her to seat us. I felt like everything we asked for bothered her and I couldn't say thank you enough. Maybe it was an off night for her I'm not sure but from other reviews seems to be a theme. Go for the food and the bar! The location is amazing and it's nice to sit outside in warm weather.“

“Delicious and authentic Puerto Rican food. The yellow rice is soft and tasty; it is very well made. The pernil is also very well cooked but does lack a bit of seasoning, it still taste good but I think they cook can add a bit more seasoning to it and it will be PERFECT! I always feel like I am back at home whenever I order from Mis Raices.“

“Gave this place a try a week ago and it was pretty good. Nothing we had was what I would call "ground breaking" but it was pretty solid for classics. The pancakes were very fluffy and fat but held good flavor too. For some reason I just had to try this places chopped cheese (my local bodega stopped selling food and switched to weed) and yea I've had better chopped cheeses but it did scratch that itch when you're craving one. I got the energizer juice also which was on par with others no notes. All in all the place is studry it sells what it's good at and seems to have a following of customers that appreciate that.“

“The churros were amazingly good, they greeted us kindly it’s definitely worth checking out not expensive like other places, there’s only one problem and that is there was a line for the valentine special and there were two women who just skipped the line and pretended to have a friend “waiting for them” so be attentive of who’s in front of you other than that 10/10 place!“

“While in the city, my partner and I were looking for a lowkey spot to grab a small bite, and cocktail within close proximity to our hotel. This place came up in my Yelp search so we decided to check it out. Once we were seated and able to check out the menu, we opted for meatballs, the pulpo and cocktails. And the chocolate lava cake to finish. The dishes, drink and dessert we had were great. If the few dishes we ordered tasted that great. I can only imagine how great the rest of the menu must be. It's a cozy, dimly lit but inviting spot. And the service was good. I can't wait to return!“
