You walk in and there is a wall full of colorful signs describing multiple types of sandwiches you can order. All looked spectacular but on the first night I ordered "The Biden". All the ingredients spoke to me and man what a sandwich! The flavor explosion was incredible with sun dried tomatoes and avocado on a croissant. I forget what my buddies got but they were raving about them too. The next night I got a meatball sub with grilled onions and once again I was in Heaven. We all were. So please keep this small business going strong and check out their sandwiches. All across their walls they have photos with celebrities so clearly they are popular. Thank you Sunny and Annie! “Excellent! It's like stepping back in time once you walk through the door. All the sights and wonderful smells of a real old fashioned Italian Deli. The staff are warm and welcoming and the food is always excellent. There is a relatively rustic area with sturdy wooden tables and chairs where you can eat your sandwich there on the premises if you don't feel like taking your food on the road. You can't find too many places like this anymore and it's a shame. I can almost guarantee that you will be hard pressed to find a sandwich on par with them in all the 5 boroughs. “It was worth standing in line for half an hour that stretched around the block!!! The line moves quite quickly, you get a note that you keep and pay according to what is written on it at the end. At the stand, they let you taste the meat so that you can decide beforehand what to take. We took the classic pastrami. It's just a huge sandwich! We shared it, so the price in my opinion was not terrible, but keep in mind that it is almost 30 dollars for a sandwich. In our opinion it was worth it. The pastrami melts in your mouth and the pickles they make are excellent. There is a lot of fat in this so be prepared.“

“This is my go-to neighborhood spot. Their breakfast and lunch sandwiches are delicious and ENORMOUS. I especially love the All The Way, their lox bagel sandwich. It's always enough for two meals for me. I follow them on instagram for their weekly specials; they're always so creative! They have a huge variety of beers, wines, pre-mixed cocktails, etc. Every time I'm hosting, I stop by to pick up drinks and snacks. “There were not many places open on Christmas Eve in New York City and I knew that this deli, now named the "9th Avenue Gourmet Deli", its third name change in five years, would be open. It was really busy that evening because everyone had the same idea. I ordered a Cheeseburger Platter, which was a large hamburger patty that was perfectly cooked and served with a large side of fries. I had the Chicken Fingers that was a nice sized portion of nicely breaded breast meat that was perfectly fried out also served with a large portion of fries. The portion sizes here are really large. The service was really nice and is always so friendly and organized. It is a great place for breakfast too.“
