“Pretty good spot, we enjoyed it. The Bagel I got with cream cheese I wouldn’t really call a bagel, it was more like a regular roll of bread, taste was good though. The hoagie was good as well. The cheesesteak I would have to say that the flavor is a bit off. I guess the way it’s seasoned, not really my thing. Overall this spot is good & I love that they make their own bread fresh. Staff is friendly.“

“Came in from out of town and stayed at an airbnb thats really close by. Decided to try to the steak egg and cheese bagel for breakfast and when i first opened up the sandwhich and saw the cheese oozing out i knew it was gonna be the best steak egg & cheese bagel i ever had and it was. Also got a cheesesteak here on my last day. It was tasty and way better than a cheesesteak from Geno's. If i ever find myself in Philadelphia again i will try to come back ?“

“What an unexpected find this was after climbing the Rocky Steps! It was time to indulge in a hearty breakfast and why not try the Christie's Breakfast sandwich. Filled with satisfying ingredients including crunch (hash brown patty) spicy sauce (garlic Siracha) and yummy fried egg, cheddar, onion and pork roll on a toasted croissant. PERFECTION. I thought I was in Heaven. Very friendly staff. Don't miss this local gem. Low key ambiance-quick serve style.“

“Everything about this delii was on point. It brought back memories of my days as teenager working in a Jewish bakery! Every baked g I I'd was just as I remembered. Our delicious sandwiches were humongous. My husband and i grew up in Philky and never knew this deli existed, what a treat as we were visiting for a wedding. Everything was fresh. It was a wonderful experience! We will make this stop whenever we're in the city.“

Almost hidden in the Jewelers' Row District is a small, hole-in-the-wall sandwich shop that will have you leaving with a big impression: their hoagies are just fantastic! I ordered a 10" roast beef hoagie with lettuce, onion, tomato, hot peppers, provolone, and mayo, and almost had difficulty finishing it because the sub was packed! Everything tasted fresh, and I was pleasantly surprised that the hot peppers actually had some heat to them.Pam, who rang me up, is a very sweet person, and the shop is run by her and Joe. The owners recommend calling in to place orders as it takes some time to slice everything fresh, and today they actually sold out early afternoon as I was finishing my hoagie. “I stopped at the Deli after a trip to the Aquarium with my baby. My chicken ceaser wrap was delicious and they employees are so friendly and sweet! We got to sit outside in the nice weather too since they have tables out front! Definitely recommend! “Phil and his family are amazing. They are so nice and keep my tummy very happy. Way worth it to spend 2 3 extra bucks over wawa for a sandwich here. They care, it’s always fresh and delicious. “This hoagie shop delivers quality (Deitz & Watson) lunch meats with a smile! You can have your hoagie made by them, or buy the rolls and lunch meat to make your own at home. When I order my hoagie I ask her to make it the opposite way she makes others, which is the correct way to make the sandwich. For some reason she thinks the lettuce and veggies should go on first, then cheese and lunch meat. I know I won't be able to eat a whole hoagie in one sitting and I'll have to wrap half back up for later. If the lettuce is what makes contact with the bun, the hoagie will be soggy later on. For me it should be cheese, meat, lettuce and veggies (on top) in that order. Picky? I think not. I ask for this because I like her shop and I want to support her small business, she doesn't mind at all. If you want your sandwich made the conventional way, you'll have to ask.While the worker or owner are making my sandwich, I check out what she has in her store. I like to get a big pickle, chips, and rice pudding. I get the rice pudding immediately because there may only be a few and someone else might choose this popular dessert. I check her freezers for good tv dinners and for water ices. The water ice is pre-portioned and prepackaged but still yummy. It's easy to just grab one. There Are other groceries available here, so I can grab what I need quickly.The owner is super nice, I consider her my friend. Always pleasant and smiling, I'm happy to give her my business at every opportunity. So, try calling ahead because the shop can be busy, and enjoy a banging sandwich from party time!“

“I love this deli. The guys who run it are classy guys. They LOVE making custom sandwiches for me, they really go out of their way to provide extra. Another thing they love is when you get a chicken cutlet sandwich and you ask for gravy on it, but you call it sauce.All jokes aside this is the best deli I have found in Philly. 6 stars out of 5.“

“This place rocked on lunches for when we were fixing up our new home, I guess you can say I'm a regular now. Coffee is the best corner store coffee I ever had. I have a coffee pot, but I prefer theirs. Snacks are always fresh, never stale, and lunch meat is awesome. Great prices, very clean place, great people that welcome you in, and they have my favorite coconut mexico popsicles that are fairly priced considering. Great place. I'm not crazy about their ATM machine though. I havnt been able to figure out how to bypass the balance check, and unfortunately I get charged a fee for that, plus withdrawal. Comes out to be $7 to take money out from that atm. Just make sure you go with cash. Other then that, the place is great!!“

“Had Chick's cater my son's first birthday, and couldn't have been more happy with the experience. Joe sat down with me, helped me determine how many portions we would need for the number of people in attendance, and we went through the menu and made the appropriate selections. (For 40 adults and ~15 kids, we ended up getting two cold sandwich trays and ~15 Hot Sandwiches cut down into portions). At the party, the sandwiches were the star of the show. I had a warming oven to keep the hot sandwiches warm, and even after a few hours, the bread did not lose its integrity. We had some leftovers, but not too many, and there was no shortage of folks eager to take some home. 5+ Stars to the Chick's crew for making this process seamless.“

“This place just happens to be next door to us, but I would happily drive for their food. Their breakfast sandwiches are THE BEST as long as you are hungry because they are BIG. Harry started making these deep fried balls lately too, and they are so good I get them at least two to three days a week.“

“Great little place in south Philly a few minutes from I-95. Parking is a little tough. There is a small lot nearby. The SMALL steak is HUGE. $20 for a steak, coleslaw, and a drink. Cash only. I was there mid-afternoon and there was a line. Food came out fast. There was a picture of Babe Heffron and Bill Guarnere (101st Airborne) over the counter. When I said something, the entire group became incredibly friendly and shared a few stories about them.“

The italian had a great variety of quality meats and had a perfect ratio of meat to toppings. The OMG cutlet was simple but tasty- we chose the grilled version and it was like a caprese salad in a hoagie. Would return for sure to try another style. “I have never had a complaint about the food at Shamrock. The salads are amazing. Soups are usually good BUT there is a problem. Last week I bought 3 different kinds of homemade soups from the freezer. The chicken pastino was very good Chicken tortellini was chicken, broth & carrots no tortellini Beef rice had no rice at all, the beef was so tough could not be chewed. Each soup was labeled with the contents. I called the store to make them aware of it. I do not want a refund just an FYI The girl I spoke to said Oh I will inform the staff & said good bye. My take is she is going to ignore my call. My purpose of writing this so someone who care at the store and correct the problem. There were a lot of containers of these soups. I think you should know so not to lose customers. I have been going for years and will continue.“

“Best food in the area hands down ! Eat here roughly 3 times a week. Chris and his staff make your experience absolutely amazing. Cost is a little higher then other area shops, but the quality of ingredients used and the finished products blow away any other sammich shop for miles. Never had anything i didnt enjoy. The one time i had an issue ( ordered bacon cheeseburger and didnt get bacon) they compd my next sandwich even tho i had eaten and fully enjoyed what was wrong. Highly recommend giving arts a try !“
