“They are very welcoming to everyone and as well as your furry child which I love! Great German beers on tap. Also great place to watch sports. They have a fun DJ who is interactive and plays a very cool mix of songs. They don’t serve food but they brought in 6 ft. Subs 2 times that I showed up which they offered and passed around to everyone which I thought was awesome! My favorite dog bar!“
“Sunday brunch was great! Service was a little slow to start but we weren't in a rush. We had 11am reservations. They open at 11. Drinks were great. Food was tasty. Fun and laid back, a mix of families with small children or a group of friends everyone seemed to be having a good time.“
“I didn’t have much expectations. I was looking for over 30 minutes for a combo of different foods I wanted. Never really have ordered takeout from here. Anyway, it was absolutely delicious!!!!!We had, wings, garlic bread? Oddly was a pizza basically and so so good (added vodka sauce), meatballs, mozzarella sticks (not sticks but triangles). Amazing, really. Sad I’ve missed out on here for the last 8 years lol“
“The weather turned nice, so popped over to Cork City for a beer one Sunday afternoon a few weeks ago and luckily managed to snag one of their outside tables. The atmosphere is perfect; lowkey and chil. They are dog friendly (inside and outside) and more importantly - they have a huge selection of craft beers that are organized by style so it's easy to find something you'll like!“
“This place is great for what it is. Cheap drinks, divey, friendly staff and hilarious regulars. It's a nice break from the hustle and bustle of mostly younger crowds downtown. And you can bring your own food. I basically picnicked there by bringing sandwiches and fresh mozzarella with a friend. Ben, my favorite bartender, served us with his usual charm, and provided good banter when needed. It's a vibe. Go inside.“
“This place is great! However, really busy during the Friday night rush. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. They have two fooors of seating. It looks small from the outside , but they lead us toward the back and up the stairs and we found a close knit corner to sit; close to other restaurant goers. But that’s just the setup. Our wait staff was super nice! ?? the food was delicious - the kitchen due to the Friday night rush had a lot of mixed up orders. I got the wrong plate and drink several times. However one of my drinks was on the house :) we had the vaca frita - delicious!! Definitely recommend! We also had plantains and cream of spinach - it’s soup but I used it as a dip! Equally delicous! The Mar y Tierra was cooked to perfection! The potatoes came with a nice smoky flavor .. come any other day of the week for dinner service ! Highly recommend.Parking: Street parking . Meter parking until 9pm.Kid-friendliness: Not a small kid vibe - but great for older kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Does not have - there’s a lot of stairs.“
“Didn't eat so only rating the bar for a quick drink before dinner. Summer Saturday so it was fairly empty. It's a sports bar that is probably busy during the fall through spring when Hoboken is buzzing. Drinks were good and bartender was friendly.“
“Me and a buddy came up to Hoboken to visit a friend. I said I was looking for a good cheeseburger and he mentioned he knew just the spot. Sure enough we walked a few blocks and came to Onieal's. The cozy little bar had a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Sure enough, it had one of the best cheeseburgers!Admittedly I am someone who prefers my burgers cooked very rare. Often times I ask for this but restaurants often balk and give me medium rare at best. Not this time...the burger came out exactly as I asked for. I had the triple B which came with blackened seasoning, bacon and bleu cheese. It was dynamite!Highly recommend this spot.“
“My boyfriend and I go here at least one every 2 weeks to eat. We love love it. The vibes are always nice. We are OBSESSED with the Hoboken Chicken Sandwich. It hits the spot every single time. The drinks are also well balanced and delicious. I’m already stressed about moving and no longer being within walking distance.“
“Food was great and the set up inside the restaurant was really nice. The spicy Paloma cocktail was delicious. The oysters are highly recommended. Spaghetti carbonara was my main dish and I thought it was delicious. The desserts tasted good we ended up getting two for the table.“
“It’s a cute bar on the corner of 2nd and Washington, but the experience can be hit or miss. The menu here makes it seem like they want be a slightly upscale version of a bar, but on some nights it just falls flat. On my last visit here, the cocktail I ordered had a garnish listed on the menu. When I received my drink, there was no garnish. The bar was nearly empty at the time, so either they no longer serve the garnish, or they just didn’t set the bar up correctly that day. Will I return? Yes, definitely. But I won’t come here expecting a high attention to detail and inspiring food/drinks.“
“Stopped in for what was supposed to be a couple of quick drinks after work with some friends and ended up staying for several and some appetizers. We picked a booth and chilled for a couple of hours. It was great. Will definitely be coming back.“
“I highly recommend The Madison for your catering needs. Their team set up everything for my baby shower and the brunch food (french toast, eggs, bacon, home fries, mini sandwiches, and fruit salad) was a hit! Amanda was helpful throughout the process.“
“Food was so fresh. Great salsa you can taste all the ingredients. Such a good find last night. Great prices and alot of food. We had the steak fajitas/ and tacos with a pineapple margarita to die for. I will be back definitely!!! Great atmosphere. Great “
“A regular staple for me. The octopus is always so decadently cooked and lightly seasoned to perfection. This was my first time trying the croquetas, the spinach ones were flavorful but the rest I can’t recall the flavor but they weren’t to die for.The swordfish was another dish they mastered. I find that many places overcook the swordfish, but not here, it was perfectly moist and rich in juices.I tried the scallops but I would never… ever… ever order that again. That was the strangest combination of flavors the world may have ever seen. It was like a fruity sauce with nuts and 4 scallops for like 25 dollars. Definitely stay away from that concoction.Anyway, their sangria, espresso martinis and bar are always amazing. The service is always on point from beginning to end and that’s why it will stay a staple for me.“
“Stopped in here to get out of the cold and have a drink while I waited for my ride. It's definitely a dive bar / pub, which is my favorite type of place. Lots of taps and a bunch of TV's if you want to watch a game. The staff was super friendly and really fast. Great place if you need a drink when you get off the train!“
“This place absolutely saved me with a big client… there were NO places to have a zoom meeting in the neighborhood- Starbucks, Panera, blue cafe, McDonald’s…. I asked and this place was beyond perfect!! I had an outlet and incredibly fast Wi-Fi. If you need a place to work for an hour come here!! A+ EVERYTHING.“
“First impressions is everything to me. ORLANDO is amazing From personality to service. Greeted us with a smile an made us feel comfortable walking in. I have been to a lot of bars in my time and by far top bars on my list. The food was incredible as well and good vibes during the afternoon! THANKS Orlando for the great service!“
“Farside Tavern has pretty much everything you'd want from a sports bar. First of all, they have a whole bunch of different TV screens all around, showing all the local sports teams and covering all games currently going on. Secondly, the service is great. On the topic of the TVs, I could see that the moment a game ended, one of the workers would immediately change the channel to another game. Aside from this though, our bartender (Valerie) and the manager were both super friendly and attentive. They clearly wanted to make sure we were taken care of and enjoying our experience. The place has a lively vibe with a great upbeat music selection without it being too loud to talk to others. It was fairly busy when we went on a Saturday night but I still didn't feel like it was really crowded or anything. There is a good amount of seating both at the bar and at tables elsewhere. As for the food, I got the boneless wings, which were 10 for $14 (decent deal). I tried some with parmesan garlic on it, which were fine but not great as they were slightly dry. However, I also tried some with the BBQ sauce and those were great - nicely crispy, moist, and much better than the others. The fries were also decent. To drink, I got an Orange Crush cocktail ($15), which is great if you like fruity drinks. This one basically just tasted like orange juice with some vodka in it (but it wasn't strong). My friend tried a bunch of other drinks and said that he was very impressed with all the cocktails that he got. Overall, with a great lively environment, all the local sports games showing on the many TVs, friendly service, and good food / drinks, Farside Tavern is the place to go in Hoboken for a good time out with friends or even if you're just trying to watch your favorite team play while enjoying some good vibes.“
“If you're in Hoboken, Ale house is the place to go. It's conveniently located but parking can be an issue. It's a typical bar but they have great deals. They have TV's at the bar so you can watch the games. They don't have a large selection of beers but still have decent options. The wells drinks are not bad either. If you're looking for cocktails this might not be the place. This would be a good place to go to catch the game and have some beers or a simple drink. At the end of the bar they also offer free popcorn for patrons. In the back they have a shuffle board and pool table. Was there on a Saturday night so it was slightly crowded. This is a dog friendly place so you're welcome to bring your furry friend as a guest. If you're in the area definitely check this place out if you're in the mood for some beers and want reasonable prices.“
“From the moment we walked in to Elysian, we were hooked. The historic decor/architecture inside really set a fun atmosphere. As we were admiring the walls and ceilings the manager approached us and started telling us some of the history. He was as nice and as friendly as could be. He highly recommended the poutine and it did not disappoint. All of the other food we ordered was delicious and the other wait staff was nice and friendly as well.If you want delicious food for a good price in a old style restaurant with an authentic atmosphere and friendly people, then this is the place you're looking for.“
