“They are the GOAT of Hoboken Hoagies. Their fresh made daily roast beef and mozzarella sandwich is unbeatable. I've been looking forward to a sandwich every time someone says Hoboken for over 30 years. My dad used to bring them home as a treat when we were kids. They are just as good as they ever were. My picky kids love it, too! ?I would have taken a photo, but the giant delicious sandwich didn't last long enough. “

“Was not disappointed! The roast beef was incredibly buttery soft, but the brine in the marinated red peppers w/garlic was off the charts with an almost olive like pop.The bread was great too...Yes totally worth the drive for the sandwich and scenery.Parking: Parking behind the building.“

“First time, liked it a lot. Many different sandwich choices, plus the usually italian deli standards. They are known for there mozz. And, well it was amazing. Had a fresh mozz and prosciutto. Yum. Will stop back again when I am in the area. Worth checking out. Street parking is the only negative, but all places in this area are, so it's all good. A few visits later and still the best.“

“Some of the best sandwiches in town. There is a board near the deli area with some listed suggestions, but they’ll basically put whatever you want in a sandwich. There are some interesting pantry style items here, but I wish there was more of this available.Wheelchair accessibility: Sloped entrance to get in. A bit tight with the door set up, but still manageable.“

“My wife and I come here often and will definitely continue to. The staff is incredible, but you’re going for the pasta. I grew up around great pasta and Italian food, so I don’t like to go out for pasta because I’m constantly comparing it to what I grew up with…but this always does the trick for me. The homemade orecchiette and fresh pastas in general are fantastic, and the desserts (which I don’t typically order) are great too, especially the tiramisu and pistachio cake.My wife did a birthday brunch here and they always let you order off the full menu which is a huge plus…we’ve done larger parties as well as regular date nights here and it’s become a great go-to for us.We really hope this place continues to do well, they always seem crowded on weekends but the weekdays are fairly quiet when we walk by. I feel like it’s hard to make it in Hoboken especially as “another Italian place,” but truthfully their food is better than most, particularly the pasta, but they don’t market themselves well enough. We’re big supporters, and where can you get a full course meal for around $100 anymore? It’s byob which I feel means most bake that into their prices, but this is such a fairly priced menu with what seem to be such honest and genuine staff. If you haven’t, give them a shot. The only bit of constructive criticism here is they may be apprehensive to invest a little extra into little things like having uniform tables (there are one or two that don’t match the rest of the restaurant)…but really I don’t blame them. I feel like once they know they’ll become a neighborhood staple they’ll feel more comfortable to do so, so we’re rooting for them and will continue to keep supporting!“

“Saturday Brunch ❤️ what more can you ask for. We did not have a reservation but we were able to get an outdoor table for 2. I ordered the French toast and bacon Benedict. The perfect mix of sweet and savory. The brioche French toast had a yummy buttery coconut garnish. My husband got the classic smoked salmon Benedict and both came with a side of home potatoes.“

“I was in Hoboken visiting some friends and I stopped by Mario’s on a whim. I left feeling “warm and fuzzy” because it felt like I had just stumbled upon the neighborhood’s best kept secret. The staff treats everyone like family. I actually forgot some personal items there and the guys behind the counter were so kind to find and hold on to them for me until I could come back (thank you!).We tried the Stromboli and several kinds of pizza. I really liked the plain cheese! Wish I lived in Hoboken so I could make this my go-to pizza place.“

“The food here was pretty good and the wait staff was really nice. I'm personally not a big fan of super low light places, but it could have been the time of day I went to. There was a bit of a wait for everything so I wouldn't come here if you're in a rush to go anywhere.“

“Apulia stands out as a cherished gem among Hoboken's Italian eateries. Unlike the usual suspects with their hefty portions and oversized pizzas, Apulia offers a more authentic and intimate experience. Their pizzas are reminiscent of those enjoyed by locals in Italy, while their pasta portions are perfectly satisfying. Twirling fresh-made spaghetti feels akin to a scene from "Eat, Pray, Love," evoking a sense of simple yet profound culinary delight. The staff exudes warmth and familiarity, greeting regulars with hugs and smiles. The manager's passion for Italian cuisine is palpable, reflected in his eagerness to share family recipes and craft special dishes that showcase his culinary talent. The ambiance is relaxed and inviting, with just the right touch of Italian flair—think Ferrari decor and nods to the Italian Grand Prix blended with a hint of Rolling Stone rock.Whether you're in the mood to groove to great music while indulging in ravoli or simply unwind with a classic Negroni or a fine Italian wine, Apulia has you covered. And if you happen to find yourself admiring the handsome bartenders, well, consider it an added bonus to an already delightful experience.“

“Omg!! Five out of five for me!!! This was my first time visiting and I was completely blown away with the food. We started with the Tuna Tartare (delish) I had the GV Chicken (delish) my friend had the Parmesan Crusted Bass he said it was delicious and we ended with the delicious ? dessert Tiramisu. The atmosphere was a lil loud for my taste but it is a very nice cozy place….the server could have been a lil more inviting but we can’t have everything lol!!! I will definitely be back soon“

“Can’t recommend this place enough! We ordered this for the first time for delivery on Uber eats and it took forever to get to us (Uber’s fault) and the food still tasted fresh! Came here for the second time (writing this review) and it’s even better. Staff, service and food are phenomenal!“

“Went to Grimaldi's for dinner when we were in town and it was quite good. The restaurant is clean and lovely and you can see into the kitchen and watch them make the pies. We ordered a Margarita and leaded veggie pizza and both were super tasty. Their sauce is soo good. Service was friendly and helpful!“

“An iconic Italian restaurant in Hoboken. While unassuming on the outside, this Sinatra-dedicated restaurant serves authentic Italian food in a cozy environment.Their food is delicious; however, the prices are a little more expensive for the amount of food (I had the Sinatra Gamberi). Their wines are full of flavor and they provide full glasses. But I will say that the service is impeccable. The staff are extraordinarily friendly, full of heart, and for some of the locals, know them by name. While it is a small restaurant, reservations are not accepted, so be sure to get there early to get a seat.“

“Had Sunday brunch with a friend here. Did the Zeppoli Brunch which was a side of Zeppolis, followed by an app and an entree for $29 before tax and tip. I thought the food was delicious and a great value. Place has a good vibe and noise level is good such that you can carry conversation with your party. Would recommend for friends and dates.“

“Great place to go early with toddler. Very accommodating and great food. The owner gave our 2 year old a meatball and she loved it (as did we). We split the Sicilian pasta (delicious, creamy and spicy) and the grandma pie with pepperoni (crunchy and flavorful). Red sauce is on point!“

“Finally came here last night. Moved to Hoboken when I was 1 in 1987, lived here my whole life besides a few years in Boston for college, and had somehow never been to Augustino's. One reason I had never been is due to the difficulty in getting a table. A few times in the past I had called thinking I could get a same-day table and wasn't able to. Good things come to those who wait. Called on a Tuesday during the day and got a call back a few hours later to lock in a 2 person reservation for the next day at 6:30. Food was exceptional. We started with the soft-shell crab francese and the burrata, and both were delicious. That francese sauce was some of the best I've ever had, and both apps tasted freshly made to order and portions were solid. As far as the main courses, I got the veal parm and my wife got the lasagna. Both were delicious. My veal was cooked perfectly, came out piping hot, and the sauce was excellent. Would have liked a little more pasta under the cutlets but that's a small gripe. I tried my wife's lasagna and the ricotta cheese tasted incredibly fresh. Both portions overall were very large, even with my comment about wanting more pasta. Drinks were well made, and service was prompt. I see some negative comments about the service, but I felt it was good. Place is busy, and they do a good job attending to each table refilling drink orders and clearing plates. Overall I plan to come back soon and recommend you give it a try.“

“Favorite place for Italian coffee and pastries and there are SO many to choose from in Hoboken. This place reminds my Italian friends of their favorite cafe in Rome. The latte options are my preference, but the regular coffee is also delicious. I have never had the gelato myself, but my husband has and loves it.“

“Always pretty quick bringing out your food for both takeout and staying there to eat. I almost always order the personal eggplant Parmesan pizza, which is great (though when you get a bigger size the dough is a lot thinner, which isn't as good as the thicker).“

“What a great pizza place this was. We only grabbed a takeout on the way home from a fun day out but the restaurant really looked like a nice place to be and would have loved to have been able to eat in. The team took great care of creating a pizza for our family and were very accommodating and engaging. The pizza was excellent!! Really loved it!“

“My experience here was nothing short of amazing! It was my best friend's birthday celebration and Jose made our experience top notch. He was kind, attentive, fun to chat with, and overall you could tell he cared deeply about the experience he was creating. He made my friend's day so special. The food AND drinks were also incredible, but the service made the whole night perfect.“

“We were coming up from NC for NHL stadium series game on a Sunday morning. I had done some research prior to our trip looking for an "authentic" Italian deli near Metlife. I found Luca Brasi's was 6-7 miles out and made the decision to try it out. Never been to Hoboken, but have been to NJ. Knew what to expect getting around. We found the deli pretty easily and I was very happy I chose it. We were there around 11am. My son and I are deep into our Italian heritage and the atmosphere here was perfect to me. It was exactly what I wanted to experience. Vast menu. I had already read up and wanted to try something from the "Meet the Family" menu. I picked the "Fuggeda'boutit sub. Great choice! Great flavor and great look. My son got a chicken parm sub and told me it was one of the best he had ever had. Messy, but good. The young lady that waited on us was awesome. Very friendly. I asked about a t shirt and spoke with an older italian woman who spoke broken english. She was equally friendly. She pulled out a bag of t shirts for me and I gladly paid her $20 for it as a memento. $27 for our meals with fries added. Fair price, great atmosphere that I was looking for. Being a big mobster fan, this great deli checked every box for me. I would absolutely go back if I get to that area again. Well worth it in my opinion.Parking: We found a spot a few blocks away after a few laps around looking . We parked at a Dunkin Donuts nearby, bought a coffee and left our vehicle there . We then walked the three blocks to the deli. Worked for us.“

“Since our arrival the staff has been super friendly, and for those whose English is a problem, it is solved because everyone speaks Spanish. And the food is spectacular! The spaghetti with meatballs are tremendous, and the pizza is delicious and made with fresh products. The portions are very large and you will have leftover food, but they provide you with tupperware to take away. Highly recommended!“
