“Great take on Lu rou fan (minced pork and rice), excellent scallion pancakes and awesome dessert (Tian miantuan) that was like a sandwich of sweet fried dough, golden sesame ice cream and condensed milk (plus cilantro and butter dried peanuts)! Great beverages as well such as the slightly sweetened Jasmine iced tea and Sanzo (lychee & calamansi) sparkling water products!“
“Came here for a birthday dinner and absolutely loved it! Because we had a large group we did the pre-fixe menu and it comes with a tonnnn of food, all amazing! I wish I had taken more pictures but standouts include the cold sesame noodles, popcorn chicken, and lettuce wraps among others. The service was excellent and their drink selection is quite good! I wish I had tried some of the cocktails but I was also perfectly content with my glasses of orange wine. I would love to come back again and try out other items on the menu!“
“Yum yum yummm. As a Taiwanese person, I loveeee the basil mayo sauce with the large popcorn chicken. It’s a total delight after a long workout at the climbing gym too. I also reccomend the ru rou fan (marinated pork) on a bed of rice a with half an egg and scallions“
“Absolutely love this place. One of my favorite meals recently. Service is so warm and the food is divine. Mama Lee herself brought us a few of the dishes! Three cup chicken and sweet and sour fish were my favorites. And the complimentary chicken and radish soup washes everything down. Def come with friends to get a variety of dishes. Will definitely return!“
“Pecking House had some of the best fried chicken I have had in recent times. It was elevated and you could tell there is an extra level of sophistication to their chicken. Different flavors, different techniques and some Asian fusion aspects that pair so perfectly well with the classic American style fried chicken. Cornbread was excellent, dirty fried rice was also superb and the chili chicken sandwich really hit the spot. Can't wait to return to Pecking House in the future! Service was also excellent; super attentive and next level for a more casual place like this one. Don't sleep on the Peanut butter pudding!“
“The best thing about the restaurant is the old lady that owns the restaurant! Absolutely! Adorable and soo sweet! The beef noodle dish was so5 stars for 5 seasons1. Owner is sweet! Sweetest old lady you’ll ever meet!2. Beef noodle dish was perfection! Super flavorful, noodle texture perfect! Beef was so tender!3. Price was amazing!4. Fast service! Super!5. Location was good! Not the best!“
“First, the owners that run this place are so friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I ordered a noodle bowl with marinated tofu and veggies, it was fresh and flavorful. I will definitely be back soon, I got my eye on them baos..“
“Some friends insisted I try Tiam Tiam. "You will love it and it's so close to your home." Words spoken by ppl that live 35 miles away ??♀️. Needless to say the food was so good! The fresh taste of the salmon was outrageous. The Taiwanese fried pork chop served w/cabbage and rice was so flavourful and juicy. It was as if I was in a private home. So many spices were used in the preparation it makes the pork chop a must try! Even though the trip was a 15 min circuitous journey it was so worth it. ?“
“the entire staff is so friendly and amazing. Full of smiles and just an overall great experience. I was fortunate enough to meet Cindy (the owner) who is an intelligent, funny, and amazing person. Stop by chinatown and try the delicious eel with purple rice with some farm fresh mango bubble tea“
“I really enjoyed my visit to 886, which has been on my list for a while! The Notorious TFC was a standout dish. The fried chicken was very juicy and generously sized. The slaw in the sandwich had a really refreshing slaw. The beef noodle soup was pretty good, although I think the broth was a bit too thick. The service was fast and I liked that the restaurant had a lot of cute Taiwanese decor. I would like to come back to try their drinks, which sound really good.“
“Out of this world. A place like this deserves a Michelin star or a Bib Gourmand. The whole team is super attentive, and their food is exceptionally flavorful and with loyal flavors to its Chinese Szechuan roots. Congrats for such a well executed menu. Will be back!“
“I'd rate Formosa four and a half stars. Tawainese dumpling shop. We shared the signature pork dumplings and the chicken and cabbage. We had them pan seared and topped with their signature sauce and scallions. Nice sear on the dumplings. They were generously stuffed and held together well without being overly doughy. We also shared the fried mushrooms. These had a super crispy texture. If you're a fan of chicharrones, then you'll want to try these fried mushrooms. Service was quick and helpful. There was one gender neutral restroom. Atmosphere was casual.“
“Very good dumplings, the braised beef was phenomenal too. Was kinda annoyed as I waited awhile but it was definitely worth it. Looking forward to trying the noodle next time.Do yourself a favor and skip wah fung and don't be a cheapskate and come here.“
“Got the beef noodle set for two, was satisfied. The Lu Rou Fan was really good, would highly recommend. The other sides were solid as well and the noodle soup is what you would expect/want from a classic Taiwanese beef noodle soup. They operate out of a cute, small space. Appropriately decorated and clean.“
“Pleasantly surprised, and left here feeling satisfied and full. This is definitely one of the better meals I've had in NYC Chinatown. For $8.25 you can get a nice plate of Fried Pork and egg over rice ($7.50 w/o egg), accompanied with some light veggies and a interestingly delicious meat gravy. This dish was plenty, but I was wanting more protein so I added a side dish of fried chicken for $3.50 which came out very crispy and delicious. All the food here came out quickly as well. Would definitely be back to get the same or even try something new.“
“everything was excellent! I had a tremendous lunch with my wife for $11.99 per person. When you enter you go to the buffet and take a plastic snack (there you will see them on the buffet), you can take as much as you want until the food is full and "it can close well.", then you pay and that's it! only $11.99 per (person/meal).I HOW did you hear! and I was fine! ??I fully recommend this place! It is fine and economical and you eat very tasty!“
“Very friendly staff and yummy drinks! Came here while waiting for my express bus just outside and had a good experience. The only thing is that there isn't much space to sit if there are already people there, so you might be better off just getting your stuff to go rather than eating in.“
“It was a little tight seating wise but also one of the only places in the area I could find with seating. The price to seating size was almost perfect and it was some of th3 best fried rice I've ever had. The dumplings I stole off my partners plate were good too :^)They have self order kiosks so if you wanted to you would t if had to talk to anyone. It was fantastic and a great place to chill out at the end of a long day of walking“
“This place is beyond amazing. Super clean ! Delicious ? soups, amazing dumplings ?. It's a hidden ? gem. The employees are very attentive and super quiet so that you can enjoy your time there. I honestly am blown away!!! Please bring your loved one and have a wonderful experience.Kid-friendliness: They have plenty of space for your kids.“
“Fried rice with pork chop was pretty nice in terms of flavor. For what is literally fried pork, it wasn’t as greasy as I initially anticipated. Minor complaint I had about the dish though was that it was still pork chop whose bone needs to be separated by some knifing. To do that on the top of the rice was bit inconvenient and annoying.Cucumber dish was nice side kick to the rice dish.Another minor complaint I had was about the restaurant’s temperature. On the day I visited, outside was like 0 celsius and inside felt like 15 celsius. It wasn’t cold but I hoped it was warmer especially when I were to be served with ice cold water.Kinda want to try and evaluate how they made their version of kimchi as a Korean but overall my gut feeling is that I will feel somewhat lazy and hesitated to revisit here.밥과 고기의 맛 자체는 괜찮았으나 막 또 먹으러 오고 싶은 정도인지는 좀 잘 모르겠습니다. 김치를 small dish로 팔길래 궁금하기는한데… 오이 small dish는 오이김치 안 매운 버전인데 밥 옆에 반찬으로 딱이었습니다.“
“Stopped by at a new second avenue location at 1623 second avenue. They offer a wide variety of eat in or take out food that is easy to eat or make. The product has choices of fried, boiled sandwiched or soup dekendung on your mood. Delivery through grub hub app and a welcome addition to the upper east side food scene“
“I pass this all the time and was super interested in the menu because they had a lot of Taiwanese street foods. I got the popcorn chicken and was surprised at how crispy it was. The chicken was a little dry but the seasoning was good. I definitely want to go back to try the other things on the menu.“
“I loved Chunky Boss! I came 2 days in a row. The person at the counter is knowledgeable of the menu and gives great recommendations on the best items to order. I highly recommend the pepper flavored chicken cutlet, fries and lychee green tea combo. SO good! I will definitely come back again when I visit NYC next time!“
“We got the brown sugar pearl milk tea and the lemon iced tea, plus some little rice balls as a snack.Perfect place to drop in and get some takeaway. Prompt service and the drinks have a good ratio of sweetness to flavour. We were only in Williamsburg for a week but we came back here multiple times. It’s open late so we could drop by on the way back from an event.“
“Chun Yang Tea offers over 42 different beverages to choose from. Small but there is room for two tables with chairs. There are stools for additional seating at the window. I ordered the winter melon drink which was pretty delicious and refreshing.“
“Food 9/10Solid and simple popcorn chicken bento, perfect for a fast lunch. They really fill up the bowl with a lot of chicken and rice, so you won’t feel hungry after this meal.Atmosphere 6/10Quite bare bones interior, with two rectangular tables and then some high chairs for solo diners.Service 6/10Super fast with getting the food out, you pay at the counter and get a bento to go.“
“One of my favorite place to grab a quick Chinese meal.Born and grown up in China, I would say the dishes there are great and remind me of the food back at home. The staff there are quite pleasant as well, though do not expect the “how’s everything going” kinda service like you would get in some restaurants. But I personally prefer that they keep the service minimal so that I can enjoy my time with friends.Overall, strongly recommend if you like noodles and Chinese food!“
“Great hole in the wall located near 8th avenue. Highly recommend ordering in advance and picking up as parking is your typical street parking experience.Delicious food, great value for your money, friendly and efficient staff.I’ve already had food from here more than 5 times and I’d still continue to return. It’s so healthy and filling.CASH ONLY.“
“Located in the Urbanspace W 52nd food hall, Bao by Kaya sells large portions of noodle dishes, served up rice bowl style. The food hall was fairly busy on a Thursday afternoon. My wife and I decided to get noodle bowls, so we ordered two: Dan Dan Noodles and Szechuan Beef Noodles, both priced at $14.99 each. Once paid, you would wait for a bit (5 minutes) and then pick up your tray once they call out your name. The lunch crowd was clearing out, so we were able to find seating for 4 at the upper dining hall. Both dishes came in plastic to-go bowls, and was very generous in serving size (if I could do it again, I would have just ordered one noodle bowl and maybe got one bao to taste). The thick rice noodles are obviously fresh, and are a great conduit for the sauce to stick to. One small issue was that the dishes had ingredients that normally would not be in the dish, if strictly following the name. I really liked the Szechuan Beef: there was 6 thicks slices of braised beef shank and liberal use of peanut sauce with pickled vegetables..but not sure why that would be considered Szechuan. The Dan Dan noodles....not really, which I think threw my wife for a loop. It used peanut sauce, plus had a lot more ingredients than mentioned on the menu (e.g. hard boiled egg, pickled vegetables like carrots and fresh veggies like kale and red cabbage), along with a white sauce I couldn't place my finger on. One bowl would have been plenty for the two of us for lunch, and since we didn't want to carry around food for the rest of the day, we sadly had to throw about half of it away. It would have been absolutely a great meal the next day (for me at least).“
“This place is pretty decent! Got a combo that came with 2 baos and popcorn chicken. Added the bubble tea but I could do without it because it wasn't the best boba. But the baos and popcorn chicken were very delicious! They ran out of duck baos so got the pork belly and the curry chicken. Would come back to try the other items!“
“Drink is good. Not a good price, but flavor is always good. Usually the staff is cold but this time I had a girl who smiled and was simple. That is nice enough, and felt like a better experience. Ambiance is okay, a little too small to stay and chill. I love the Taiwanese sausages and the lychee tea with chia seeds. Lunch special weekdays before 3, and student discount can not be applied together. 4/5“
“I recently tried Taiwan Station for lunch, and I must say it was an overall good experience. The fried chicken leg bento was delicious, served with a side of vegetables (cabbage and broccoli). The rice was topped with braised pork, two slices of pickled daikon, and, of course, the chicken leg, which was cooked thoroughly and crispy on the outside. The bento also came with a clear soup/broth, a nice complement to the meal. The service was quick and friendly. I think it is a good spot for anyone looking for a quick meal in the neighborhood.“
“I dined here in December 2019 with my daughter during a fun day in Soho. The dumplings were absolutely delicious, and I would love to go back and see how they have evolved since then. I do not remember which dumplings we had, but I think we also had a scallion pancake.“
“My daughter has been going to this bubble tea shop since her sophomore year. She’s a senior now. I can't even begin to tell you how many funny stories she's come home and told me about from the staff. The atmosphere is comfortable as well as stylish. They recently redecorated their shop for Halloween, as you guys can see from the photos, and my daughter loves it. She told me, and I quote, “I was having the worst day ever until I walked into the shop and saw all their decorations.” She loves Halloween, and for her to have somewhere safe and comfortable to go after school with people who recognize her and feel safe makes me so happy. Their food/drinks are great, they also have a variety of options to choose from which I and my daughter loves. Another great note about this place is if you order a food and a drink, it's under $20!! Please check this place out and tip them if you're able to.“
“The red curry chicken is amazing! I visited NYC two years ago and their red curry chicken has been on my mind multiple times since. I forgot to leave a review so I'm doing it now. Can't wait to eat it again when I visit in the future!“
“I liked TKK very much. Their chicken is same as in Taiwan and very juicy. There are many people in NYC like it. When I arrived TKK in NYC, there are A LOT people here. Finally, the location is very good. When you arrive 23 street subway station, just cross road and walk for 1 min. You will arrive TKK.“
“I honestly enjoyed my food , this is my second time returning to this establishment and I ordered a chicken & shrimp rice ball and a taro slush my food was soo yummy ? uuugghh highly recommend if your looking for a quick snack. I was only a bit disappointed because I ordered a miso soup and most of it spilled out.“
“The owner KJ is super sweet and amazing!! Gave recommendations and is really nice. Also didn't say anything when we did work here until closing. The boba is good as always, but the food was amazing. I was not expecting the food here to be this good, all the portions are huge too! The popcorn chicken is a must, and the teriyaki chicken and curry chicken are also good. recommend!!“
