“I met a couple of my old coworkers there December 20th after 4 years. I wanted to go to a highly rated family-run place and this establishment didn't disappoint. The burgers, meatloaf and pita wraps were excellent. The owner Vinnie greeted us and seated us, then came by to chat with us. The server was attentive and seemed to like her job. About a 15 - 20 minute walk from the Harrison PATH station. I will be making future visits there with old collegues.“

“We were visiting the area for the weekend and were wanting to get some good cuban food.This was a wonderful little spot! Enrique did a great job as our server. He recommended the roupa vieja stuffed plantains. They were delicious!He also recommended my drink: Hennessy mojito with passion fruit. Delicious and very well mixed.We had the bistec empanzinado and the bistec encebollado (our typical picks in cuban restaurants). Both came out quickly and tasted exactly as they should.We had coconut flan for dessert. Really really good!!!Service was impressive. Quick and attentive.We came at 7pm on a Saturday and ate at the upstairs restaurant (downstairs is a bar/nightclub).Would come back.“

As I was writing this review they just handed me a free shot on the house. Happy hour is from 12pm - 10pm and drinks are strong. Service is exceptional. The manager or the owner recognized us and immediately greeted us. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.Parking: Found parking pretty quickly each time I came.“

“I wasn't a fan of this place in the earlier years (2014/2017) prior to me actually walking in and experiencing till my cousin gave me a tour in a sense... I got the hang of the atmosphere here with their awesome staff from Tony ( the fly guy of the night) Eric is who you'd be a lil afraid to deal with as a bartender (but has been the opposite he's a great vibe he kinda does lil tricks as he prepares your drinks) and of course Gina (Ms. Always on point she'll fix any issue you have) also Steve that's my boy (1 of the better pool players in the whole staff) when I first started coming.....Now their newer hires like Angie (the beautiful smiley girl next door) is such a great addition to the new staff there's Also D (she's a fun attentive barmaid) as well as Nicky (the Italian boss you can tell she's a boss when y'all get aquatinted) also Sacha (she's very nice moves quick she can look distracted but she's always on how can I help you mode when she senses eye contact lol) and their cooks ....man my boy Frank is a menace (he has things out in a jiffy looking like an Instagram post ) can't forget Jericho ( he's the coolest nice guy always polite and respectful )Ahhh you have also have Luis (he's kinda misunderstood but very nice as well he can get food out ASAP too great quality staff.... And can't forget the security....they have control of the cool vibes and keep an eye out for any peeps that maybe causing a disturbance....oh man when you have DJ's here this place will take you back to the 90's and the early 2000's much respect to DJ Rome DJ Kevin and the homie DJ Berto that will cook up the newer vibe of 2008 to current music ?? if you're looking for an inexpensive night with great service choices and people here's your place I love that there's no dress code and the atmosphere is so diverse that you're definitely making a friend or 2 as you come in more frequently“

“Very friendly staff. Good beer selection. Standard pub food. The burger was really good; maybe a bit overcooked, but very tasty. Not much leg room at the bar. Have darts and shuffle board. The best part is they have train tracks and trains to go around and even have a tunnel.“

“Love love love this bar. The aesthetic is very nerdy in the best way possible. Love the Nintendo vibes all around. I’ve played pool, shuffle board, and board games here. The upkeep is 10/10. Clean and cute. The trivia nights are also fun to attend. The karaoke nights get a little crowded so try to get there earlier on every off Friday. Korean food next door is also a great plus!“

“Went here on Thursday for trivia night and was very impressed. The place has great food and service. We were greeted upon entrance and sat less then 5 minutes later. Good advice if you plan to come on a Thursday is to go by 7PM to be able to get a table. We had the onion tower which was very good and tasty. The mac and cheese bites were served with ranch and too perfection! Not to cheesy and just the right crunch. The nachos were very filling and tasty however a bit over salted. I asked for a mai tai but they offered me a road runner which was just as tasty and sweet. I'm a sweet cocktail type of girl so it worked. I def would come again.“

“Great place we just move from Fort Lauderdale to here Garfield, New Jersey and looking for a nice little Sport Bar to make it our little hangout place and we found it great atmosphere food is good great service our bartender her name is Sydney and she’s an excellent. “When it comes to food, I am a big food snob. I've been living in Staten Island for 34 years and I passed this place when it was Rusty's a million times. I met a colleague of mine for drinks and food here and it did not disappoint. The prices were fair, the place was new and fresh, inclusive of the bathroom (this is very important LOL). The drinks had a generous pour of booze and the food was excellent. Reading thru some of the bad reviews, they may have had a couple of off nights however none of them made sense to me. We both ordered a roast beef sandwich. I had the South Shore. It was fantastic. The beef was juicy, the bread fresh, everything was great. In addition to a pair of roast beef sandwiches, we ordered a hot pretzel and the apple-cinnabon dessert. Everything was great. In addition to this, we got to chat with Edward who had just started his shift serving us animals (he was a gentleman) as well as Rusty (former owner of Rusty's) who gave us a little history lesson on the transition of Rusty's to Point Tavern. I will definitely be back again as it was a good place to have a drink or have some drinks and grab some good pub food. There is a bar area, separate dining area as well as an outdoor space. The surrounding streets offer ample street parking.“

“Hosted a birthday party for about 28 people including kids. The service staff was attentive and responsive to emails and to my calls when I had questions. Here are pictures. The food that we ordered from the party package #2 was terrific. We brought our sound bar to play music from my own playlist. There is an option to have music provided by the bar/restaurant if you want. I would return to host another party. Much recommended.“

“This spot is definitely a "must try" and will probably be in your "got to" list after you visit.. It was a little tough to locate from the GPS instructions and didn't have signage that you could see from the street or outside the building but once my lady recognized it parking was easily accessible and we walked right in to the host. The atmosphere was really nice with an upscale feel so this date night was definitely getting started right. The server Destiny was open and friendly, she made us feel comfortable even after I changed my order shortly after submitting it. The drinks were on point and when the food arrived it was fresh, hot and amazing. “This was my first time here. A great little bar that extends to the back where there is a pool table. There is also a dart game on the wall and mini soccer game, which people were using. The space is very clean and well decorated. When we got there we waited about 15min before anyone spoke to me and my wife. There was a little crowd there. We then realized it was the owner, mike's birthday. Everyone was singing happy birthday to him. We ordered drinks, a beer and bacardi for $13 total then a buffalo chicken pizza for $8. $20 minimum to use card. Mike later introduced himself to us and frequently made small talk. He seems like a very good guy who tries to make a bond with his customers. He explained to us how the business was going, a little about himself, introduced us to his family and even offered us jello shots and a shot of liquor on the house, oh and some cake. I would definitely go back here. He makes you feel welcomed. Nice place, good price, good manager.“

“My family of 6 went to Biggies for the ‘24 superbowl. We are from out of state staying in a nearby Marriott. Biggies was absolutely amazing. I was concerned about having a good table with views of the game. I reached out the day of and received a response right away. There are a ton of TVs and they assured we had a booth with our own TV. They adjusted the volume to our liking. The service was amazing. Our drinks stayed full, our order had zero issues and the food was delicious. The prices were fair. The parking lot had plenty of spaces and easy to access. We highly recommend and will be coming back when we are in town!“

“Ate here with a group of co-workers (total of 8 people) after work on a Tuesday evening. It had a casual atmosphere. The food was excellent starting from the appetizers all the way down to the dessert! The calamari and the shrimp during the appetizer was on point. The sauce on the shrimp was great dipping for the bread. For the Entree the seafood pasta was fresh and a generous serving portion for 5-6 people alone in 1 serving. We also had the picadinho, which was my favorite- excellent... not too greasy! And had a good portion of salad with steak. Then we each had a serving of different desserts that we shared- flan, chocolate mousse, tiramisu, cheesecake, and some pudding.“

The chef was kind and funny even with a crowd of 5. We were 3 adults and two teens in total. The Resrurant had about 10 people in total dinning including us. Since it was our first time we wanted to come in early bc we had menu questions jajaja . The experience and food was great. I suggest bringing cash to tip the chef as they really try to give an experience. Overall, we will return in the evening with friends.My tip would be to ask for a little bit of rice and noodle. Or just one of your choice. They pile your food on your plate and it feels overwhelming. You can take it home at the end.We ordered the sushi 4 piece appetizers which was great. I ordered scallops and shrimp and it was fresh I probably would have done the butter sauce not the teriyaki (for next time) . My hubby ordered NY steak and chicken teriyaki. He liked the steak more then then chicken. It was medium temp and delicious.“

“Amazing atmosphere! I’m SO appreciative of the multiple vegan options. The vegan mac and cheese was to die for, and my husband loved his birria pizza. My only suggestion would be to tweak the crust on the vegan pizza a bit, it was a little underdone and difficult to pick up, but the flavor was wonderful. Drinks were great, service was friendly. “I run The Bayonne Chess Society & Club. We have events all over Bayonne, different venues. I approached the owner, Ed, and he immediately said, "Yes" He's a chess lover, and had been waiting forever for chess to come to Bayonne. We have almost 300 adult members, no idea how many children. We also have a Boardgame Division. We did this in THREE MONTHS.We have two locations on members meet at on Fridays nights. Chubby's for a more mature atmosphere. People can go grab a beer, eat, and chill, while playing chess. If there are children, members meet at Joe's Pizza...4 blocks away. So, far I've had the cheesesteak sandwich and spicy fries. It was delicious. We meet at BOTH locations at 7 pm. No experience necessary. We have all levels of players young and old.We also meet at Cafe 26 on Saturday afternoons. We have a boardgame Event night on Thursday nights, at Bayown's Vendor Mart from 6 pm to 10 pm. Members bring whatever game they're looking to play. The venue has a few of their own. It's crazy fun. We've also had events at Houlihans. We have other venues in the pipeline, as we continue to grow, as we're now getting members from other towns, like Hoboken, Jersey City, Hoboken, Oldbridge, and Paramus.FINALLY, we have Free group chess lessons on Sundays at Chubby's. We're there from 2 pm until 5 pm. It's RSVP only, as space is limited. As we get more students we may go to another day for chess.But, all in all, Chubby's is a chill place to go, eat, chill, socialize, and PLAY CHESS !! They also have a video game night !!! Friendly bartenders are always there and they have a good food menu along with specials of the day everyday. One of my favorite items here is the Blitz Burger, be forewarned come hungry!
