“The gem of Maplewood. Incredible bakery, amazing staff, a can’t miss spot if you’re in the area! Pillar of the community!Dietary restrictions: Great with labeling dairy and/or gluten free. Always dietary restriction options and very good about separate bags.“
“I can not say enough great things about Steph's Macarons. I discovered her pop ups via Yelp and I've been back two other times to get her delicious macarons. Not only are they super cute and pretty on the outside but they are slightly crunchy and then super soft and delicious on the inside. I absolutely adore all the different flavors she offers - from cookies and cream to ube to pistachio to cinnamon toast crunch to taro to thai tea to even cheddar! (I have yet to try the cheddar macaron). And so many more flavors I didn't list! My kids and I love going to her pop ups which are usually in different ice cream or coffee shops. She has such a beautiful display and my kids love choosing the different characters they want to buy and devour. My daughter's faves are any chocolate macarons and the cinnamon toast crunch ones. My son loves the cookies and cream and ube flavors. My favorite? Basically ALL of them. Steph is also so so kind and patient. She always greets us with a smile and gives us the time we need to pick out the perfect macarons to feast upon. Thank you Steph for the delicious macarons and for all your pop ups! We hope to see you again soon!“
“We were suggested to visit this place and I was not disappointed. There was a wide selection of pastires and other tasty delights. I managed to con my wife into letting g me get a cannoli and was impressed. The service was attentive and friendly. Overall, the cost was appropriate as well. It was a bit of a tight squeeze but space is always an issue. 100% will return.“
“This cake was an absolute masterpiece!! All three tiers were a different flavor, one even better than the next….my personal favorite was the coconut cake. Planning a wedding is so overwhelming and there are so many decisions to be made. Polkadot Cake Shop was well organized, quick to respond and so easy to work with. Also loved being able to support a business local to me. Thank you so much!!!“
“Finally was able to try one of the vegan breakfast sandwiches today, after living nearby for over 2 years (they sell out fast on the weekends and lots of people order ahead). They live up to the hype!No idea how these magicians make not just that, but everything (our kids love the donuts too) so incredibly well. Vegan donuts shouldn’t taste that great, but yellow rose makes them so. Not to mention the coffee is excellent too. Highly recommend“
“This is an Iraqi restaurant with excellent food, everything we ordered was superbly tasty, I especially recommend the eggplant salad and Iraqi kebab as well as smoked ayran, you can try all this only here, you won’t find such dishes anywhere. Excellent friendly “

From homemade buttermilk biscuit egg , cheddar & bacon sliders to short rib steak breakfast burritos, apple friitter french toast are some of my faves , this place is a hidden gem !! “Love this place , it's honestly my favorite pizza in Hoboken. And lord knows Hoboken has alot of them. The workers are extremely friendly and their arrangement of different toppings , satisfies anyone taste. Their garlic knots are huge!!“
“Annie should be the poster girl for "service with a smile!" This is my first time in the bakery and it was exceptional. The decor is cute and inviting. The cakes and cookies on display are mouth watering. Annie's personality and enthusiasm are wonderful and combined with her attention to detail and helpfulness made me truly glad that I stopped in for a special birthday cake. THANK YOU!“
“My wife and I have been eating at Cavany since it opened - we live in the 235 Grand building. Alejandro and his staff not only cook amazing food, but they are welcoming and have turned the restaurant into a wonderful space for a casual meal with an upscale feel. Our favorites are the Ropa Vieja and tostones!“
“Crema is my favorite place to go for lunch or a sweet treat! The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Their food is great, I highly recommend their prosciutto toast and their waffles along with an iced bee sting latte. The atmosphere inside is cozy and they always have art from a local artist on display that they switch out every month or two. I’m always excited to see what new art is on the walls when I visit!“
“Clean location, fresh baked delicious products. Very friendly staff. Sometimes a little tough to get a close parking spot ( I'm handicapped) but worth to extra steps. Many different cookies and cookie platters. Great collection of cookies jars on display, some for sale. They also have a few other locations, ALL worth a visit.“
“I ordered custom cakes and desserts from Stuff by SJ over the last few months for parties we were hosting at home and at work. All of my guests were so impressed with how delicious everything was as well as how gorgeous everything turned out! I worked with Drew to customize each order with flavors and designs (2 separate birthday cakes, cupcakes, and chocolate covered oreos for a work event). So impressed by this local business and highly recommend them! Plus, they deliver and respond to texts, which makes the party planning that much easier. Excited to try even more of SJ's creations in the future.“
“Service was fantastic. I placed my order for an assortment of cupcakes the morning of the event. Then called a few hours later to see if I could come earlier to pick them up. Great service. Pick up Window was organized and no wait really. Cupcakes were packed so cute and boy were they delicious. Will order again thank you“
“Italy in a cup! That's all I have to say about the Tiramisu. The food is also so so good... my favorite is the chickpea sandwich which reminds of a childhood favorite sandwich. The let's get breakfast Waffle dish is fulfilling and it's well balanced between sweet and savory. The place is very clean and the ambiance is inviting. I'm definitely going back to try some different menu items.“
“When I say this I mean this with the highest form of complements if you ever heard of Zin burger this is the reincarnated version of that. Everything is tasty I'll be back here as often as I can. Great work here guysVegetarian options: My wife has never tried beyond burger but it was satisfying to try this here. In her words it tastes just like a burger. We have to keep this place open.“
“I wish I could give more stars. I had my boyfriend's surprise 60th birthday dinner on 11/11/23 and they went above and beyond and made sure everything was perfect. Everyone had an amazing time and the food was absolutely amazing. I wish I got our waiter's name because he was awesome. Thank you again for an amazing night.“
“Not our first rodeo here, but having returned after a hiatus, certainly glad we did. Booked a last minute reservation, on busy Friday night. Short wait while our table was prepared, as the staff was trying to accommodate 2 large parties. Server was very good, prompt but not intrusive, our meals were served promptly, but we didn't feel rushed. The selections, salmon and pasta were excellent as was the appetizer burrata special. Only disappointment, they ran out of the bronzini special. Dessert was excellent. Great experience! We will be back soon.“
“Had them at The Bergen Zoo when they were running a special event. The ladies were very nice, and the food was great.Purchased the Rio Grande and it had an ingredient not enlisted (by accident) which would have caused a severe allergy (my wife). They quickly apologized, refunded my money, gave me a free a sandwich and a free drink. They were so apologetic, and sincere. Now whenever we are in Paramus, we will stop by this place for a bite to eat.“
“The food was delicious, the service was great. Unfortunately they had live music and the guy was great, he was playing great music BUT IT WAS WAY TOO LOUD. I couldn’t even hear the server talk he was literally yelling. I feel like this is small restaurant that does not need extremely loud music.“
“This place is a gem! We came here because our initial plan of eating at tribos periperi fell through when they were suddenly closed on Saturday (maps said it was open). I had heard of Indian inspired burgers and fried chicken before in Manhattan, so we decided to try this place out.\\n\\nThe place has 1 table by the window, then a bar with some chairs along the counter, and finally an area with several more tables.\\n\\nYou order at the counter, they'll ask your name, so I thought it was self pick-up, but in our case they brought the food to us.\\n\\nWe weren't sure what sauce to use on the chicken wings so we asked about the masala and the walla, as those two sounded the most special/distinct. They let us taste the sauces and we went with the walla, it's super good!\\n\\nThey didn't take long to prepare our lamb burger, beef burger (medium cooked ?) and our chicken wings, along with a side order of fries and a side order of sweet potato tots.\\n\\nThe burgers were delicious, juicy but not too messy, with a very nicely cooked thin patty full of flavor. The fries and tots were both incredible too, couldn't stop eating them! The tots are more interesting, but I do prefer the fries because well made fries are always the best side.\\n\\nThe chicken wings were small but packed with flavor (we also did get 7 instead of 6, probably because of the size? Or maybe they were just that nice). I only tried one because my husband is the one that loves wings the most, but I really enjoyed this one too!\\n\\nService was great! I expected it to be more self service, but they were very involved and made sure to explain what needed to be explained, and to ask about our meal.\\n\\nI'm not doing great at explaining, so I'll let the photos speak for themselves!“
“This was my family and I first time there tonight and we had an amazing experience! When walked in there we just looked around and said how beautiful it was ! We ordered our appetizers which I have to say it was the best baked clams I’ve had in a lonnnnng time! All the food we ordered was delicious ! Sally was our waitress and she was delightful! The owner Peter more then once came over to us to make sure everything was good and we appreciated that a lot ! Great customer service all around tonight will definitely be back !!“
“Home to their signature veal chop, this establishment located at a strip mall off of Minnisink Road in Totowa is where a couple of my friends and I were looking for a new place to try our Sunday dinner and happily ended up at Robert's Scratch Kitchen. Reservations are highly recommended and easily done with OpenTable. Upon arrival, the interior was elegant without being too stiff or stuffy. We were graciously greeted by the host, and so began our delicious dining experience. We were seated within a few minutes. The menu consisted of a variety of Italian, seafood, steak, pork, and veal dishes that changed with the seasons. The use of an iPad to show the rotated specials was a novel idea. For appetizers, we decided to share the fried calamari, stuffed mushrooms, burrata eggplant, and crab cake. As our entrees, we opted for Rigatoni, consisting of fresh pasta, crumbled Italian sausage, peas, crushed red pepper, pink sauce, shaved parmesan, Linguini and Clams, Branzino, and Short Rib Pasta. Complimentary warm bread with butter started our meal. Being a “scratch kitchen," the food was served and made with the freshest ingredients, meaning that there were no frozen or processed foods used in preparing meals for patrons. The food was delicious, and the portions were plentiful. Throughout the meal, the staff, including our servers Danielle and Juan, were attentive without being excessive and did a great job of making sure we were all comfortable. The dinner price was fair for a nice, quality meal. The fact that it is also a BYOB is a bonus. There are a lot of really good restaurants in this area, but this has to be one of the best, so we can recommend this place.“
“Vegetarian options: Lots of options for vegetariansDietary restrictions: I have recently turned vegan and I saw some next level vegan options on the menu. That Vegan shawarma is my current favorite.Parking: It is street paid parkingKid-friendliness: The place is quite kids friendly. My kids loved the pancakesWheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible“
“I am still thinking about what may have been the best breakfast of my life this past weekend.. the flavors blew me away and everything was executed to perfection. Def don’t get something plain on this menu as you need to experience what this small kitchen and spices can really do. I’ve visited others in the “best breakfast in JC” list.. and none compare so far.. can’t wait to return.. highly reccomend the Chullburr“
“Hidden gem...Hole in the wall. The Iraqi Kababs are mind blowing and the Dolma are a must try for vegetarians. The smoked yogurt drink washes it down perfectly but it might be an acquired taste for some. The eggplant salad is extremely flavorful and a great way to start the meal. For those looking to try something different I highly suggest AlMazaq!“
“Super cute place; the owner is so sweet. Bought some sugar-free/keto cupcakes for my dad's birthday (he's a diabetic) and omg they were so delicious! Definitely worth the visit!Dietary restrictions: Everything is gluten-free and they have a beautiful section of Keto baked goods & cakes.“
“I needed a gluten free/dairy free cake for our trivia teams one year anniversary, and I had been to Annie & Em’s in the past so knew they did great work. I ordered this cake and it was AMAZING! We shared it with about 30 people at the bar and everyone raved about it, even the people who at first didn’t want to try it because it was “gluten free/dairy free!?! No thanks!!” ? ❤️Dietary restrictions: GF/Dairy Free“
“I make my own smoothie compilation which is awesome. No bananas. Coconut water and strawberries, blueberries and some ? cherries. Very tasty and rejuvenating. Not too thick, but not watery.Thank you ?. The gentleman is always very pleasant . I be visiting when I’m on the road and need a smoothie that’s like my own home made.Parking: Street parking on both sides of the street. If I arrive and no parking is available, 1 person stays in the vehicle and the other go make the purchase. Like double parking but not leaving the vehicle empty.I believe after a certain time of day, the parking is free but I’m not certain.Thank you JCOM?.“
“I have been a fan of Busy Bee Organics since trying my first Buffin at a farmer's market. Every dish and treat I've tried is delicious! Big fan of buffins, obviously, but also all the cookies, anything pumpkin, egg sandwiches, and the cashew cheeze?! I'm not vegan or dairy free but I can't get enough.“
“Great meal and overall time here! Our server was super nice and friendly/helpful he really guided us through the menu and gave some great suggestions. The restaurant itself is super nice and cozy while being spacious, but oh man the food is unreal. We had the meatballs (so big and flavorful and smothered in sauce), the mushroom pizza which was loaded with mushrooms, super flavorful and unique. Also got the vodka pizza which was really great, we got extra vodka sauce on the side so we could really drown it and loved it. My friend got the gluten free and she said it's the first gluten free bread she's had that actually tastes like real bread and loved it.“
“Gluten free cookies were all delicious! Wonderful staff. Wish there was some seating but they did direct me to their little coffee shop a few blocks away (which also sells their baked goods) and has delicious coffee “Hey Coffee People”Dietary restrictions: They offer vegan and gluten free options“
“This has been on my radar for a long time and I finally trekked over an hour in 20 degree weather to make it here (pats self on back)! There was no line at all - perks of going there when everyone is camping indoors. The Swingle is the classic item you see in reviews, and I don't think I've had anything quite like it before. It's a small key lime pie dipped in chocolate and held with a popsicle stick. I got the raspberry one and I love the tartness the raspberry added! You also get the flavors of the key lime and the crust. I'm normally not much of a lemon/lime tart fan but this was terrific. I wish I had ordered two because one wasn't enough for me. There is outdoor seating only and in these temps you probably don't want to linger, but it's pretty easy to have to-go. This is a must-try when you're in Red Hook!“
“Tried this place after searching for some of the best croissants. You can walk down church with your eyes closed and the smell will guide you right inside. The gentleman who greeted us was super friendly and welcoming. We got a couple plain croissants and an almond croissant just because it looked delicious. We got to work on the almond croissant the minute we walked out of the door. I've never been to France but I can't imagine almond croissants getting much better than this. Wonderful texture and a delicious flavor. The plain croissants were also on point. That almond one was the star though. I'll be back for more of those and definitely to try some other goodies. The bread looked amazing as well. Go! ENJOY!!!“
“Dropping by Brisas Elmora with my wife turned out to be a total win. Right from the get-go, the vibe was welcoming, making us feel super comfy. The sangria there? Absolutely a game-changer – it had just the right kick to lighten the mood. And man, the food was a feast, both in taste and portion, hitting all the right notes of Colombian goodness. What really tied the whole experience together, though, was the stellar service; the staff were on point, friendly, and genuinely made us feel valued. We left Brisas Elmora full, happy, and already plotting our next visit. It’s the kind of spot you hit up for a guaranteed good time.“
“Very delicious food and I love the inspiration from different international cuisines as someone who loves to prepare all different types of meals from around the world. Love having more vegan options in the area and everything can be made vegan! Come try it out!“
“I truly beautiful, hidden gem that I stumbled upon and Rutherford, just looking for coffee! I was pleasantly surprised to discover this place had incredible pastries, and an even more incredible decor. It’s covered in plants and fresh flowers everywhere honestly, a dream! And the pastries DID NOT DISSAPOINT! wow incredible cake slices , cookies and more . Plus great coffee !“
“How happy I am to see this store open up in Hoboken! I've loved Boomerang Bites since I tried them at The Hive coffee shop in Hoboken and have been hooked since! (3-4 years now possibly!). They're these delicious, full of flavor small square bites that are kind of cookie/fudge/brownie/cake like depending on which flavor you have. It's really indescribable but they're sooo delicious! My favorite are the salted caramel, sweet caramel (without the salt), passion fruit, and the gluten free fruit and nut. They're the perfect sweet treat alone, after a meal or a small quick snack with coffee or tea. Upon my visit I also tried the chai tea with almond milk and added my own honey and it was also delicious. Great temperature and chai flavor--not too overpowering as some other chais I've had before. The service is great here, the women are really friendly and welcoming. And the ambience is very laid back and relaxing. I'm not a huge fan of the chair by the front windows as they feel very fragile to sit on but I look forward to checking out the backyard when the temperature warms up!“
“I don't live around there but make it my business if around to go there. They may not know my name but the lady who attended me is always polite and nice. Their baked goods are great. To bad parking I'd not so good since I do taxi at times would like to sit and enjoy the place. Support them cause they are nice and good “
“I’ve been to one other Nish Nush location before: this one’s much nicer (in terms of ambience and service), but the food appears to be regularly great!I had their deluxe sandwich this time, and it was - literally- overflowing with all the good stuff: lots of protein and veggies. It comes with pickles, tahini, and crushed chili on the side (I finished all of those too, because the center of the sandwich tends to be a bit dry).I love that their menu is entirely vegan! Also met the nicest staff! Dining here made for a most pleasant evening - I’ll definitely be back.“
“Delicious. My wife and I happened to stop on this street and spotted Don Ricky's Bakery. A small and neatly maintained bakery that specializes in some of the authentic Colombian delicacies. The yucca bread is always warm and fresh. Delicious. The Colombian coffee was also delicious!!!!“
“Been there a couple of times for pastries only and coffee. They are great. I believe they have a lunch menú. They do have sitting area. Parking lot a bit small tho--carpool when in large groups. I don't think walking there would be recommended since is right by the junction to route 23 North and traffic is relatively fast. Service and atmosphere always attentive. A whole in the wall and Truly the most authentic Italian bakery I've ever been to in the east coast.Parking: Small parking lot“
“Jimmy Max has always been a Staten Island staple to me, but I recently hosted a first party for my daughter there and can now double down on that sentiment. :-) Erin was so wonderful to work with leading up to the party. She was quick to respond via email, answered all of my questions, and sat with us in person to sort out final details. The day of the event, Erin and the rest of the staff worked so hard to make sure that everyone was happy throughout the day. It’s the first party I’ve hosted where I felt relaxed from start to finish - and that’s all thanks to the staff at Jimmy Max. The food was delicious and plentiful! The space was beautiful! And the staff was an a+ team! Highly recommend for a party of any kind!“
“Service was exceptional - the food was delicious and served promptly and very amicably- One of the dishes was too spicy for me and our server, Natalia, and the manager insisted on making a different , less spicy entree. We were very impressed with their attention and courtesy- very professional!“
“Feeling tired and craving comfort food? Happy Belly has got it for you; it’s my go-to place. They offer delicious, satisfying, and affordable meals. The place is cozy, clean, and homey, with friendly staff. The Beef Teriyaki and Fried Spring Rolls are must-tries.“
“My only regret is not coming here sooner. Delicious pastry items - I tried a pandebono, Ecuadorian empanada, and a raspberry filled puff pastry, all of them were great. There are so many other things to try - can't wait to go back. I am told items can sell out quickly, so best to go early! There are a few small counters you can eat at, but mostly for takeout.“
“I've been in this area for nearly 7 years, and I hadn't found a deli I really loved (not that I've put THAT much effort into it), but here we are...!I was overwhelmed by too many obviously good choices (their online menu seemed less prodigious than reality), so I deferred to my perennial favorite; a roast beef sandwich with cheddar, tomato and lettuce with a light helong of mayo on a 6-inch.I'm still pondering the frittata I saw and their grilled chicken wraps, but I was thoroughly satisfied with the roast beef sandwich and the soft and moist crumb cake I did leave with.I'll be back. Go, if you haven't already....“
“I rarely post reviews but I was moved to do so because of the great experience I recently had at Mattarello’s Bakery and Cafe. The young woman who assisted me with the purchase of a chocolate mousse cake was lovely, and she did a great job personalizing it. The elegantly decorated cake was one of the best desserts I have ever tasted—light, airy, and intensely chocolatey. A special cake for sure.“
“I have tried several meal preps from different companies and they usually are average at best. Made Meals exceeded my expectations. Very fresh and everything I have ordered so far tastes delicious. When they cook it smells like a restaurant. I highly recommend. Made Meals is by far the best mela preps I have tried. Well worth the price.“
