“This is our absolute favorite place to go down the shore!!! We go every time we are there! My 5 yr old only wants to go here! And it’s for the show more than the ice cream!!! We just wish the shows was longer! Please please make longer shows! ?? ❤️Kid-friendliness: Best place for kids!!!! “

Saltys Tide Wash Gifts Ice Cream Shop • $

“Great ice cream!!!!! Good service but it's *so* confusing in there when it is busy. There's not a clear line... Sometimes the line is to the right and sometimes the left. The space lends itself to "take a number" or maybe a system like Iceberg (in North Lavallette) where there is an enter door and an out door.“

Kohr's Frozen Custard the Original Lavallette Ice Cream Shop • $$$
507 Grand Central Ave, Lavallette

“I could easily post 50 photos of soft serve cones from here. We go to Kohrs just about every day when we’re in Lavallette, sometimes even twice a day. I love this location because there is usually less of a line than the boardwalk locations. But Kohrs is always worth any line. I am forever obsessed with the orange and vanilla swirl :)“

“We only tried the ice cream here so I can't speak for the food...however, the ice cream was delicious! There were so many flavors and even more options for toppings. You could get anything from sprinkles, to brownie pieces, to crushed cannoli or jelly beans! I tried the brookie blast with Nestle CRUNCH, and it was essentially a chocolate lover's dream. Every bite had an explosion of cookie dough and brownie bites. My sister tried a new flavor, sugar cookie, and she said the taste was similar to that of the animal crackers with icing. That scoop was loaded with cookie pieces and rainbow sprinkles (bit that didn't stop my sister from ordering extra sprinkles on top!) My mom had bourbon brown butter truffle, a unique flavor that I haven't seen at any of the other ice cream shops around here. We all ordered small cups, but we got heaping scoops that were almost overflowing the cup! The only downside of our visit was the service. When we arrived, there was a line out the door and into the street. After waiting about ten minutes, we still hadn't moved a step. After 20 minutes or so, it was finally our turn to order. However, the girl scooping our ice cream was very polite and gave us a ton of ice cream.“
