The wait wasn't terribly long at 3:30 (we waited about 30 min outside, though it was cold). The food was tasty and good quality, I liked the chopped cheese the most. Fun diner feel too! There was a minor holdup to actually get the food, but definitely worth it once we actually got to try it. Would recommend!“

Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. My husband and I started by sharing the special salad chock full of blueberries, blackberries, pomegranate and hazelnuts. For our entrees, he opted for the well prepared black bass special, I enjoyed the pappardelle with sausage ragu. We shared the fresh fruit pastry shell with gelato - a beautiful creation and the perfect way to end our meal. Such a lovely find - can't wait to return.“

“An Excellent Turkish Restaurant in NYC !!!I was in New York City for a business trip last week and by searching for a Turkish place in Midtown I came across Akdeniz. I was met with true Turkish hospitality, everyone was very nice. I had the Iskender Kebab which tasted as if I was in Istanbul. It was very fresh and tasty. The babaghannous was nicely made you could taste the fresh roasted eggplant, as good as the best in Turkey. It was such a great experience that two days later I went back for lunch and had the Adana Kebab which was one of the best Ive had in the States. I highly recommend Akdeniz!!!“

Initially I was told I could only order food to go because someone was having a private party and they were prepping but then the man behind the counter walked me through the menu. He then suggested I have a seat and could eat in if I wanted. I chose to dine in and the food was fabulous. I got the bacon egg and cheese biscuit. They did not have the cheddar jalapeño biscuit I asked for but they added extra cheese to my sandwich to compensate. The biscuit was crunchy in the outside and soft on the inside. I'll definitely be coming back to try the chicken biscuit and all the different compound butters.“

The mushroom fettuccine had a better flavor but also could’ve had more flavor. Kale salad was alright; good as a $3 add on to pasta. I usually travel to Hoboken for my Italian deli sandwich cravings but was super excited to find such a close place after a friend recommended this spot. The fresh mozzarella was delicious and they don’t skimp out. Chrisendemum salad would be our most favorite. Fresh, colorful land and right-seasoned. Delicious! Beets salad was ok. The pasta bolognese was freshly made, and very good too. Kids had burger, kids pasta, and pizza(mozzarella and basil). We end up having too orders of pizza. So good it was. For dessert, we had carrot cake with supper delicious buttermilk sorbet.
