“This place has great food with exceptional service! I ordered a chicken marsala and a shrimp scampi dinner. It was delicious. I come here to write about their service. We had a situation where I placed an order for delivery over the phone for my parents, whom are in their 80's. I do not live with them, but they are "hard of hearing", so I am the one who normally places orders for them. I placed the shrimp scampi and chicken marsala over the phone and upon delivery, my mother calls me to tell me that a chicken parmigiana dish came instead. We obviously thought we received someone else's order. So i call Bruno's and told them we had the wrong order, they were confused how they received a chicken parmigiana, and told me that my order was in store and would be delivered shortly. Then I received a call from Bruno's from a guy telling me that the issue was that there were 2 orders placed from my house, which I debated because I was the only one who placed the order. He told me an elder man placed the first order. I replied saying "that's impossible". Anyway, I sat there and thought to myself, "how did he know there was an elder man in that house". So i call back to my parents and asked my mother to ask my father if he had placed an order. She asked and he replied quietly,"yes". Of course we were livid and embarrassed. My father said "I wanted you guys to believe in me that I can still do stuff on my own." We felt bad because we were very stern with Bruno's about this mishap. I called the establishment and apologized and told them we would pay the extra order that was placed. To my surprise, the owner completely understood and told me not to worry about. He told me his grandfather is 80yrs old and understands how things like this could happen. That really touched my heart. A lot of business these days are all about money and don't have heart for certain situations. My father has Parkinson's and it is tough when a man loses his independence, and I guess he was trying to be independent and show his wife that he is still capable of doing things on his own without her consent. I personally want to say THANK YOU to Bruno's. This business it top tier! Highly recommend!“

“First off, this is probably the best Italian restaurant in NYC. For me, the mark of a good Italian restaurant is their cheese and tomatoes. So when the complimentary, and perfectly cooked, bread came to the table I asked for a side of cheese. I tasted it plain and could tell immediately that it was DOP. (Those who know what that means, understand my meaning.)I then proceeded to have the carbonara. Many restaurants (even those who claim they are Italian) in the US make this dish with cream…and that’s totally wrong. The magic of this dish is the perfect amount of pasta water and cheese that is added to the pasta and then vigorously mixed until it becomes creamy. And the egg must be tempered, or else you end up with scrambled eggs. And guess what…this restaurant knows how to do it perfectly.For dessert I had their bread pudding…another classic Italian dessert that if done correctly, is delicious and if done incorrectly is just a pile of blah. The chef here, once again, outdid himself. It was so buttery and the ratio of raisins to bread was perfect. Plus the hint of Sambuca just put this over the top.I can confidently say that I will be back, and can’t wait to order one of everything over the course of my upcoming many visits. The Name, Salt, Pepper, Ketchup could be the best sandwich shop name ever.. I was in Breakfast Sandwich mode, but made the wrong choice in that I order the Breakfast Sandwich combo which was more of a Cheesesteak with eggs and hashbrowns. It was good, but I was looking for a NJ Taylor Ham Eggal and Cheese with Salt, Pepper and Ketchup.. My fault, with the order. Still was excellent, but I want to go back for the NJ Breakfast Sandwich staple. The Service was excellent. They even had my order in their heater to keep ot warm. Only a few parking spots out front, so definitely a Grab n Go spot. $15 cash for Special Breakfast Sandwich and Orange Juice. I will be back.“

They changed up their Sub Sandwich rolls from a beautiful seeded semolina roll to some substandard Italian sub roll. The bread makes the sandwich. Any chicken Parm and Meatball Parm should have stayed on that semolina roll. Cheesesteaks should not, they belong on those other Italian rolls. It "was" the best chicken Parm I ever had. Now it's just like every other round of the mill pizza joint that comes and goes...“

It actually still had the same kind of spice of regular chorizo. To be honest, I didn't seem to notice that much of a difference between this vegan chorizo and regular chorizo. And they gave a lot of it in the taco as well, so I was happy with that. I also got brown rice as a side. It was a hearty portion size of rice. I got vegan naan bread, which tasted delicious and exactly like regular naan bread. I also loved that they sealed the boxes with tape with a drawn heart on it. It's a small detail, but it shows there was care put into putting my meal together. Overall, i was happy with my meal, and I would definitely order from them again.“
