“Amazing. We walked in on a random Wednesday after work and they were able to immediately seat us. It happened to be happy hour, yay! Our server, Olivia, was so kind and had the best recommendations. She somehow knew exactly what I’d like and knew how to describe the food well enough to help us decide what we wanted and how much we wanted to order. Ambience was great and food was yummy“
“Royal Izakaya is in a class of its own. My wife and I have come for dinner a few times, but this past week we did the Omakase for the first time, and it was truly an incredible and unique experience.Jesse is front and center with just 8 people in this intimate setting, and you can tell he enjoys the interaction with the guests, as well as getting a chance to explain each offering.Every single bite that we had was a mouth watering experience.I can’t say enough good things about this place. If you get the chance to go - GO!“
“Definitely the best omakase in Philly!! Quaint bar setting BYOB! Right up close great sushi masters. No special occasion just decided to have sushi with my son. Every course was outstanding! Flavors were amazing. I love seeing the reactions of the other patrons as the eat the courses! Will definitely be back many time hopefully. Well worth the drive great neighborhood ample parking. Beware of the non descript building. At $158 you will be very satisfied with every bite. The ala carte menu has some great add ins priced accordingly 20-38$. They offer hot and cold tea as well as a few soft drinks and water.Parking: Parking down the street metered cash or credit card. Get the appWheelchair accessibility: Same level as street.“
“This place is astonishing , super excellent baby! Great service, my man Kevin is fluent in 4 languages. We were there last week and he was holding multiple conversations, German, Hebrew and Hindi . Food is over the top, great cocktails and romantic/ sensual atmosphere.“
“What a wonderful experience we had here. We had a reservation at 8:30pm, luckily for us we were the only ones eating at that time for the omakase. The chef was able to make all the sushi and serve us quickly, which was nice. All the fish was fresh and tasted delicious ?. Kimchi Omakase is truly a gem for the price. I will be back, I recommend you give them a try.“
“fat salmon was my first sushi experience ever almost a decade ago (when it was fairly new) and I came back yesterday and it was just as delicious as I remembered. I had the spicy scallop roll and the fat salmon signature roll. The pineapple cilantro sauce on top of that was incredible. Was the highlight of my meal. I also tried the sea breeze signature roll which was great.I recommend Fat Salmon for a cute intimate date spot or a catch up with a friend one on one. You must get a signature roll as I feel like that's some of the best items on their menu and what was most memorable from my first visit and this one. Shrimp shumai (steamed) is good but only have 4pcs compared to the 6pcs it came with when I first visited was disappointing. Outside of that it's great spot to go for sushi!Vegetarian options: I didn't have any vegetarian or vegan options however I was delighted to see how much they have available for people wanting those options“
“This place was immaculate from start to finish: the ambiance, the food, the drinks, the service… everything was perfection! If you’re thinking about visiting this place, this is your sign to do so!I tried the waygu roll, Mai fried rice, and the “hurts” roll. Everything was worth it! It’s a bit pricey here but again, you are paying for what you’re getting and that is pure deliciousness!“
“Step into the world of unparalleled luxury at Sushi Suite where every omakase moment is a symphony of exquisite tastes and artful presentation. I've been mesmerized by the decadent journey offered in this sleek sanctuary of sushi craftsmanship, curated by a world-renowned chef. The experience is nothing short of flamboyant, with each course outshining the last, promising an escapade that tantalizes the senses and transports you to culinary nirvana. #LuxuryDining #OmakaseExtravaganza #SushiSuiteFishTown #DecadentJourneys #FlamboyantFlavors #SleekSushiHeaven“
“Amazing, amazing place. It’s a small humble spot with incredible food, particularly their extensive selection of vegan sushi options. I thoroughly enjoyed dinner here and can’t wait to return. I also can’t say enough good things about the service. There was a young man with blonde hair who did his best to make sure me and my friend were comfortably situated, and the waitress with the purple hair was super friendly and took great care of us. Thank you so much for the wonderful food and service!“
“The place is away a great place to come to with family and friendsNicole Huber is a awesome bartender always on point with everything.Parking: Lot size is not that big since there are other places in the complexKid-friendliness: More things for kids to do“
“Delicious, fresh, exceptional, and tasty! Loved coming here and it was a first time experience. It was so delicious I have told all my friends about it. The menu is very diverse so lots to choose from. I tried the shumai, mochi ice cream, king crab roll, and the crunchy roll! Very affordable for all the food I got! ($39). Parking is street parking but a beautiful walk.“
“I highly recommend yusushi. My wife loves Japanese food. Me not so much. But this place is amazing. They have the sushi, but they also have main entrees. I got the pork katsu curry. Which is a fried pork cutlet on rice with curry sauce. But they have other entrees on the menu. They have takeout option. Probably even delivery. If your in the mood for chinese, japanese is better if you are in Marlton ?“
“good food and good service! we only got the shrimp tempura roll and california roll, but both were yummy :D our waitress was very nice and they were giving complimentary mango martinis as well, which were delicious (u can get it virgin too). very cozy little space perfect for catching up w a friend or a small birthday, v good vibes :)“
“This place is a hidden gem! We were pleasantly surprised by the very generous portions, reasonable prices and the excellent service. The food was so delicious, my kids begged us to return the following evening for dinner! As a former pizza restaurant owner, their newly tweaked dough recipe is on point and consistent. We had the best pizza on the East coast 2 nights in a row. We made sure to order extra, as our server Yoram suggested the pizza was even better heated up later. If we're ever back that way in Philly, you can be sure we already have dinner plans!Kid-friendliness: Excellent service and the server was extra kind to my kids and even gave them treats for behaving so well during the meal“
“The last several times I've been here I've always gotten great and fast service. The atmosphere is quiet and pleasant and the bathroom was clean.I always judge a restaurant on how clean the bathrooms are because to me it reflects the dining experience and the state of the food and hygiene of the staff. This is a habit of me being a whole Philadelphia foodie.Loved the sushi here.“
“Kei Sushi is NOT messing around. Seriously fresh and delicious sashimi sampler, seaweed salad, kani su (cucumber wrapped kani and avocado), and special roll — baked lobster. Every single bite of every dish was phenomenal. The atmosphere was bright, clean, and relaxing. Plus the prices are very fair for the quality. Definitely a new contender for my favorite Philly sushi spot!“
“I think they were short staffed when we went, we were kind of forgotten about for awhile. It took about 20 minutes before getting our drink order. Also they took awhile to get our dinner order after the appetizers were well past consumed. The food is good and the staff was kind, even if a bit slow when we were there. One bizarre thing that I feel should be pointed out, because I've never seen this anywhere else: inside the men's room there is a single stall for the toilet. 1 stall... with 2 toilets inside. There is only one door. Do you go in there together? Is someone supposed to knock while doing their business to let someone else in to have a pooping buddy? So many questions that keep me up at night lol“
“I usually order out... Their hibachi steak is the best! I love their kani salad! They are always friendly! And I love the fact that I haven't ordered from here in like 2 months the young lady that picked up corrected what I was ordering! She said "you usually order....." Love that!!!“
“This is a good place to eat sushi and ramen. Personally, I ordered the miso soup ramen and I loved it: both the decoration of the dish, as well as the quantity and flavor, were in harmony; For starters we ordered gyozas, which were delicious. My companion ordered a shrimp tempura roll which, on the other hand, although it had a delicious flavor, the quantity was small in relation to the price. The atmosphere is cozy. The staff treated us very kindly, which made us enjoy the experience even more.“
“For the great price and great amount of options, this is probably the best "bang for your buck" happy hour in the city! Not your typical American bar food when you think of an amazing happy hour-- Qu offers a large sushi menu with tons of variety. Raw and cooked options, some vegetarian, but all pretty taste! For $6 per listed hh item (dine-in only), we easily found great options and left happily filled with saki and food! I even got oysters!Vegetarian options: They offer some vegetarian rolls and appetizers! It does not make up a large portion of the menu and would be mostly "snack-like" items/small platesDietary restrictions: notify staff of any dietary restrictionsKid-friendliness: This is more of a bar atmosphere with alcohol being served both at the bar and around the dining room“
“Best sushi around jersey not gonna lie. They are so nice and always inviting! Their food tastes so fresh and I’m always impressed, they never forget things and are EXTREMELY FAST with their orders. I even order custom rolls from them which in itself is incredible because I’m terrified of ordering things from most places like that. My favorite item is the shrimp tempura roll but I put cream cheese on it too. Also they never under sauce!!!“
“Amazing Japanese food - fish was as fresh as could be, creative dishes, beautiful presentation, welcoming staff, top-tier experience. Chef/owner Matthew is extremely nice, knowledgeable of his craft and accommodating; he's willing to curate unique dishes for his guests, treated us like family.“
“ive been to many american chinese places in philadelphia- Asian Bamboo is definitly one of my top 3! Their chickn & broccli is uncompatable! They have very fresh food. Also, as an added bonus have sushi ....again extremly fresh and tasty! i drive 15 minutes past probly 15 other chinese resturants to get my take out here!“
“We stopped here cause we wanted to try another sushi places in the area.. small place/atmosphere, which is fine. I ordered a chirashi zushi, it was delicious... my family got other rolls and a korean meal... it was all great... I just wish I knew that they are charging 3% on using credit... I would have brought more cash... no biggie.. thank you!“
“Fantastic sushi, great prices, quick delivery. The order is always correct, packed well, and the food is delicious. And if you're in the mood for a seafood boil, this is the place to go! Get the garlic butter sauce - spicy! Soooooo good.“
“I've read most of the reviews here on this post and like the writers, I agree with the fine atmosphere, the food and the efficiency of the chefs but I didn't agree with and noticed with question the size of my sushi rolls in comparison to the four young college students that came in after I arrived, two of which ate the sushi w/their hands (clear amateurs and it's crass, lol) Having dined in several sushi houses across Center city let alone Philadelphia over the years this place WAS one of my favorites until last night.I've been here about approximately 5 to 6 times and I always felt a little bit of customer bias but didn't pay it too much attention until last night my suspicions were confirmed when I sensed a feeling of terse, unfriendly customer service and bias.I won't indicate the chef that displayed this bias but attitudes like this flow from the top.I WON'T be returning here. I'll remain going to their competitions in the area rather than to be "Sneak dissed on the low" and keep your self respect, dignity and character as a more sophisticated person rather than to be on the receiving end of socially biased, micro aggressions.I only think of what size w/the mayor's rolls be were she to walk in and order the meal I ordered, what cm size difference would she get served?Im not having sushi here anymore in 2024.“
“Only ate here twice and it was exceptional for the price. Honestly I thought the good reviews had to be fake bc there were so many and so highly rated. But it’s legit. It appears to be closed though permanently since it’s been down for over a month now.Hopefully the owners see this and will tell me they’re re-opening soon??“
“Came here with my mom from a recommendation her friend gave. We really enjoyed the sushi! The prices were very affordable, we paid less than $40 for two entrees and two soups. However the cleanliness was a little suspect for me. You can see the area where the chefs prepare the sushi, and it reminded me of a Waffle House.“
“We love it there! Especially our Vicky! Our Dee! All the sushi chefs and the owners! We love to see everyone when we come every week!! We have our favorite foods there and we are in Japanese Heaven!! Thank you! ARIGATO!!💃🎉“
“Visited Philly on vacation and so happy we came to eat here. The food was so fresh healthy and delicious. The place was very clean with fast service. Even so accommodating to my gluten allergy was able to order almost annything even dessert! Highly recommend!Kid-friendliness: Gave my daughter coloring while we waited for her food and made sure it came out fast for her. With lots of kids options!“
“Location a bit sketchy and there is not many seats inside but the sushi is good quality for its price point. The salmon roll is $10 at time of writing, slightly more expensive than nearby alternatives but seems to be expertly prepared. The braised pork belly buns are delicious and come with thick slabs of pork meat. The fried rice rolls appetizers are also quick good and does their job to stimulate the appetite. The cha shu ramen itself is slightly spicy and includes a sliced slab of corn which is an interesting choice, at first glance, it seems a bit like instant ramen but upon tasing the noodles are certainly higher quality than that of instant ramen. The eggs are hard boiled and reminiscent of soy sauced braised salty tea eggs, the broth is flavorful but nothing too special and the same can be said for the cha shu pork pieces. Overall 4/5. The ramen passable but the sushi is the main highlight of this place.“
“Delicious quick service, i gave the atmosphere a 5 because it’s definitely a to go place but it was great for me and a friend to grab a quick lunch before food shopping! I got Pork gyoza and shrimp tempura, she got California roll and spicy Kani roll! She also “
“Refreshing new spot in town. All the food was fresh and the menu is diverse and unique. The pad Thai was great, the fried crab rice was excellent too. They give you great portions and everything you need. Even the presentation for take out was impressive. The sushi rivals anywhere in town, in fact it’s the best I’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to go back, glad we tried them out. If you haven’t yet, do so the next time you’re craving some Asian cuisine.“
“This is my favorite spot in Center City whether I am with a group or even dining alone. I usually get one of the specialty rolls of the day. My son when he is in town always gets the ZFC. It is a must get menu item. I have been dining here for years and it is consistently delicious, and always a wonderful experience! The staff members are stellar! “
“This place has become a home of mine of Friday nights. Kevin is an excellent, skilled sushi chef and keeps positive relationships with his customers. His staff, the elder and waitresses are always professional and courteous. They work incredibly hard to make the entire experience a memorable one. I hope they recover from this recent property loss and temporary closure.“
“I've never dined in but it's a very cute but small little establishment I do intend on trying on having dinner in house one dayI always order takeout, usually their lunch roll special or sometimes I may order more. The sushi is always fresh. The service is great. I usually do pickup but I have on occasion done delivery and it was delivered within a reasonable amount of time. I had no complaints. They have a lot of specialty rolls and thier regular rolls are eight pieces .I also love the kani salad and seaweed salad. Their prices are reasonable. It's a great little spot.“
“So grateful to have a local sushi spot that i LOVE! I have converted several people to sushi lovers with this spot alone so that tells you how good it is! I love the 3 roll lunch specials, but oh how i wish they also allowed it on sundays :( some of us work monday-saturday, but alas still excellent sushi!“
“Oh my goodness, the service was awesome. We were on out way to Washington DC and the server tried his utmost to get our food in the shortest time. We ordered Thai fried rice and Pad z Ew and it was the right spicy and absolute great taste. If you're in the area, don't miss out on delicious taste and superb “
“Their lunch special is a great value and the rolls were good without the deal too. the tuna in the tuna roll was fresh, flavorful, and plentiful.the atmosphere felt really casual so it might not be great for a nice date, but any other sushi need would be well met “
“We came to this restaurant for dinner. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we had a fantastic feeling. The food was just great. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Warmly recommended.“
“Decided to pay this spot a visit as part of NoLibs restaurant week, the $25 set dinner was quite worth the price. The set came with a sushi roll, entree, and mochi ice cream.Sushi roll options were somewhat limited and the actual rolls themselves were nothing special. I also ordered an add on spicy salmon roll but it looked nothing like what I’m used too. Instead of a mashed salon paste, it was essentially a regular salmon roll with some spice added. Interesting choice to say the least.I got the shrimp teriyaki for the entree and the sauce was quite good, savory and sweet. The shrimp were slightly cold and overcooked though. The mochj cream was likely store bought, and clearly part of the restaurant week set as I cannot imagine paying more than $4-5 for a single piece of mochi.Overall, the decor of this place along with the ambient jazz music makes for a nice casual dining spot. Nothing fancy. The food can be decently good so I may give this place a shot again to try the other dishes.“
“Great place with staff that know their menu. We’re always greeted at the door with a smile :) Their happy hour and drinks are good for the bank while still enjoying why you’re consuming. Recommended for just a quiet time by yourself and with friends !“
“We were very disappointed in the food. The California roll was too fishy and it had to be thown away. the chicken and broccoli was greasy for some reason (called and was told possibly it was the oil they used and offered to send another but person didn't want) the last combination platter was sweet & sour chicken and the most that can be said is at least it was edible. First time order and for the poor food & amount of money spent we definitely will not return, Hopefully we just hit an off night.“
“The sushi was fresh and well prepared. The soups are all very watery and could be more flavorful. We arrived at 7:15, their closing time was 8:30. We did not like watching them cleaning up, washing the floors with mop and bucket, etc while we were in the midst of our dinner, as well as snatching up our plates the very second we removed the food from them. They need lessons on proper restaurant etiquette.Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant and parking are totally accessible“
“I wanted to take pictures, but the tasting menu was just to die for. Our server guided us through the meal, the support team described every dish without hesitation, and my glass was always full. I haven't had such a perfect experience at a restaurant in years. Great job to the team, Thank you for a great night. It's worth every penny.“
“The sushi and the variety here is absolutely excellent. Great ambience for dining in and great service and when ordering for pick up your order will always be ready. It has the largest variety of sushi that I have seen and it is excellent quality I highly recommend this establishment.“
“Always a great go-to lunch or dinner spot. I love the salmon bento box, so many of my favorite things! I have probably ordered it 20 times and it’s seriously never let me down! Yummy!!!Dietary restrictions: They are able to accommodate my dislike for mushrooms that come in the vegetable side!“
“I went on a Saturday it was my fist time it was great I loved everything great service great food I very much enjoyed it and I will definitely be returning in the near future. I tried sushi and had a bowl of ramen and some tea unfortunately I only have a picture of the sushi. So much more I want to try.“
“Andy is an awesome guy! The sushi really is phenomenal and the conversation is top notch. Andy pays absolute attention to his craft. Everything is super fresh and it comes from all the oceans. Ronnie is just fantastic and her smile brightens the room! Fish caught from literally all over the world and expertly prepared by Andy. Japan and Spain is the highlight tonight and it's just awesome.“
“This is THE sushi place. My Husband and I have been going here at least 10 years. We have tried other places and literally no where compares to here. The freshness, the pricing, the service, everything here is amazing. Honestly they’ve ruined us for any other sushi spots, we’re always comparing to Sakura, and no one quite measures up.“
