Our biggest complaint was that the website did not clearly stated that it was a restaurant that only sold full bottles of wine (not by the glass) with BYOB as an option. “My boyfriend made reservations to Del Porto to celebrate my 43rd Birthday. This was our 1st time visiting this restaurant. The restaurant is nicely decorated and very clean. The staff are all nice especially our server Fermin. He was very pleasant and always had a warm smile. Our food was very delicious from the appetizer, crispy eggplant ,to my main course Bronzino and to my Tahitian Creme Brulee desert. I loved this restaurant and my experience here. “First time visit to this restaurant. Our server Alina was exceptional - made great recommendations. The service was on point. The staff is very efficient. I loved my drink "Pineapple Jalapeno Mockarita". The crab cake, the best we have ever had - no fillers, just fresh crab meat. It's even better than the ones you get in Alaska. Other dishes we ordered including Branzino, Halibut were delicious as well. Portions are big. Next time, we are going to try the salads, we have heard they are great. Memorable experience. “Wonderful birthday dinner with family. The fois gras was amazing. Everyone had different first courses but each one was so enjoyed-including mussels and salad. Main courses were all a treat. Especially the Dover Sole cooked and deboned tableside. So buttery delicious. The evening special of red snapper was excellent. The steak was perfectly prepared as was the chicken with a delicious sauce. Dessert included chocolate mousse - almost as thick as a pot de crème - such an indulgence. “Another wonderful and enjoyable meal at Limani. We had a late lunch on Easter and were seated right away. Our server came to our table immediately and asked what we needed while looking over both the regular and special holiday menus. Our wine was opened and poured and bread, olive oil and seasoning placed on the table. We were not rushed making our decisions even as a steady crowd filled up the restaurant. We all enjoyed our appetizers, entrees and dessert (we had to share because we were so full) and will definitely be back again soon.“

The penne is beyond the term exquisite and the butter with it was amazing. I can only say the downside is the physical appearance and even then I like it. “We were a party of 3 for Easter dinner, our first time here. It was packed but the friendly and competent staff was able to accommodate a table change for us to a booth which was much appreciated. Our sewer was friendly and informative. The menu has wonderful options. The tuna tartare appointment was big enough for all of us to enjoy without filling up too much so we could enjoy our perfectly cooked lamb loin and scallop entrees. “Definitely a five star experience!!! We arrived just before happy hour ended (4-5:30) and they were kind enough to place a quick order of oysters!!! They were super fresh and delicious... favs were west coast (sorry NJ). Next, came the Parker rolls!!! Probably my favorite part of the meal, but then again, who doesn't like homemade, freshly baked rolls with buttered top and a touch of salt!!! Because everything looked so good, we opted for a bunch of other appys to start! The New Zealand angus beef bites were served with horseradish aioli and a Parker roll, the halloumi cheese was accompanied by orange slices, prosciutto, radicchio and dehydrated olives. The octopus was spectacular... crispy with romanesco sauce, fried chickpeas, cilantro and paprika breadcrumbs. Of course, we had to also try the OHS mussel pot... with chorizo, saffron, garlic cream, sun dried tomatoes... and an herbed garlic roll on top!!! LOVED THEM ALL! It's not often that so many different, but complimentary flavors are presented in each dish!!! We could have stopped our meals there and would have been pleasantly satisfied and full! Next, we chose a couple of the sirloin sandwiches with fries, and the squid ink pasta with Calabrian chili and Meyer lemon breadcrumbs!!! All was very good. The evening was finished with 3 of their delicious desserts... the lemon meringue tart was the perfect sweet with a pucker. The molten dark chocolate cake was decadent. And the trio of gelatos were each so uniquely flavorful and delicious! Wow!!! Given that 100 steps is a BYOB, it makes everything even more affordable! We had spectacular service in this beautiful restaurant with amazing food! It was quite a special evening!“

When it was time to pay the check, I noticed their new pay system had already added a 15% tip to the bill. I think tipping should ALWAYS be the discretion of the patron. Typical bar scene with large television screens broadcasting a variety of major sports games, so it does tend to get rather loud inside. But also decently family friendly assuming you're ok with the large tv's around. Decent selection of drinks, and the happy hour specials are well worth the bang for your buck. I personally enjoy the LIT (Long Island), but the House Margarita Special is probably a better deal. Food is pretty much what you'd expect to find at a bar. Large menu so chances are you'll be able to find something that works for everyone. I'm a huge fan of the mozzarella sticks which was the star of the show for me. It is nice that they let you add onto sides for an extra charge. I've tried several of the entrees but nothing stands out. Overall quality is average across the board. Have not ventured into the dessert options here but they looked good for what it's worth, I'll have to give them a shot one time. My experience with service here has been mixed. On my most recent visit, they did very well apart from taking a long time to bring refills/check, but given how busy it gets on weekends it was understandable. However, I have had other times where my order has been messed up without an apology and were visibly upset that I asked for it to be fixed. Personally I prefer here over Tommy's but some may disagree.“

The door on the right leads to the DiMaio’s Pizzeria section.This is where you can place an order for Pizza, Stromboli, Calzones, Hot and Cold Subs,Pasta Dishes and more for take out only.The door on the left leads to the actual restaurant where you can sit down and be served. This is a BYOB which I love.I was immediately greeted by an our server I believe her name is Paola. She was very friendly and attentive. DiMaio’s has a good amount of tables for dining in.The restaurant itself has a casual, subtle and warm vibe. I found it very relaxing. This place is family friendly, and Wheelchair Friendly. They can also accommodate vegetarians.When you arrive there’s a few spots in the front, 2 handicapped spots, and a few regular spots with remaining parking in the back around the side of building.This restaurant has been around for at least 45 years. It’s has been a staple in the Berkeley Ht’s area.For starters some of us chose their Tomato, Cucumber, and Feta Salad. The rest chose their House Salad with shaved Parmesan on it. Both salads were very good. Hot Rolls with Butter were also put on the table.For my Entree I chose their Rigatoni and Chicken Alla Serafino-Sundried tomato, broccoli, mushrooms, peas. It had a light flavor and subtle components.One of my friends chose their Chicken Valdostana- it was served with mushrooms, prosciutto & Asiago cheese. My friend ate every morsel.Another friend chose for her Entree Chicken Marsala-mushrooms and Marsala wine, she enjoyed it.Another friend chose for her Entree Seafood Marinara-shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams, and calamari. Again, everyone enjoyed their meal. The food is good here. We found for the area the food was pricey. Their chicken Francese was $29. The Seafood Marinara was $39. The other thing I found interesting was there was a charge to serve our own birthday cake. $2 per person.We decided to let the birthday girl take it home and enjoy it with her family. We just ordered desserts we picked off their tray. They were delicious , but for the price they were small portions which ranged between $11-$13 apiece. That’s definitely pricey for dessert.They do catering and parties here. I’ve had their pizza, and it’s decent too.
