“Good steaks and sides, at decent prices, but the service was very slow in a not-full restaurant. Took nearly 40 minutes for the waiter to take our order and another hour or so for the food to come out. Waiter also disappeared and did not check on food after it came out/check on us much at all until we got checks.“
“What a delight! Nick, the manager, was gracious as he met us at the door and made sure we were seated at a table we liked. Our server, Hillary, went above and beyond to explain the menu, guide us to making superb choices and kept us well entertained with her wit and humor. The filet was perfectly prepared, simply the best steak I ever tasted. The sides were equally good, and we found a very nice Malbec that complimented the meal perfectly. My husband and I shared the bread pudding for dessert, which was delicious. The portion was so large, we brought half of it home. Absolutely a top recommendation. We will be returning!“
“I came here with my parents a few months ago. As usual, Roots rustic ambiance, excellent food/drinks and impeccable service did not disappoint! I ordered the surf and turf and it was cooked to perfection. Our server was prompt, polite and checked in frequently without being overbearing or annoying. The cocktails were unique and stellar. I'm so thankful that such a high quality restaurant exists in both Summit and Morristown. This steak house competes with all of the upper echelon ones in Manhattan. It's just as good as Keehn's and other prominent city destinations. Highly recommend!“
“What can I say. Have been a customer for many years nothing has changed but the year and date. Still the same Steak goodness Wedge Salads and French Onion Soup. Service is so on the money nothing less than perfect. The ambience is unique and original giving the feel of an old time classic place.“

“We frequent this location at least once a month it is a little further than our local location but worth the trip. The staff is always friendly and make it worth the additional 15 mins. We were there on Saturday the busiest night in the business . One of our steaks was a little over cooked ( it happens ) We notified Joyce our server who is a very good waitress about it she sent Taj the manager over she came over rectified the situation quickly and was a very pleasant young lady a real asset for Outback. We will continue to frequent this location for this reason.“
“Overall our brunch was very good with a couple of minor issues. The banquettes need cleaning, the juices in the cocktails weren't shaken thus making the drinks watery and not full flavored. I sent mine back and the waiter brought me another quickly. The food was good. We will come back for dinner in the future.“
“The food was great, everything works well on its own or together. Wish I could rate the atmosphere higher. Our server Danielle was knowledgeable about the food and asked about allergies before we ordered. Get the crab cake if that's your thing, this was one of the best I've ever tasted. “My frist time there all was good, but this time just Wow. The steak was very under cooked and very over seasoned. The amount of peper was enough for 4 steaks. The service was rushed. Got dinner before we finished the appetizers. The dessert tasted old. Not sure if I will give it another try ! “Went there for the first time. Food was fantastic. Service was good. We went on a Saturday around 6 so it was not yet that busy and service was not what we expected for the quality of this restaurant and the amount of customers at that time.“
