“I just came here on a whim kind of. I was browsing Google maps and came across it. I don’t understand the low rating but I loved the food. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen with a Strawberry Milk Tea. Honestly really enjoyed my meal and tea. Will definitely come back again if I’m in the area.“
“Ana and Lou were exceptional in their service. They accommodated us with everything we need walked us through both menus what to get put the proper television shows on for us while we had to wait two hours before taking off to Scotland. Also, the sushi was an excellent grade sushi, I was very surprised, being a sushi connoisseur.“
“Food is delicious, greeting from the host station was non existent, server, Brian, was attentive and delivered hot food quickly. The pork chashu in the Tonkatsu ramen was not good (tough, off-putting flavor) despite having some of the best broth I've had.Vegetable gyoza were fantastic!Recommended.“
“I used to live in the area ; was up visiting family and I stumbled on this place by way of an IG reel so I figured I would give it a try because (a)-it was the Friday that NJ experienced a 4.8 earthquake and I most certainly didn't think I was in the right headspace to do any cooking and (b)-this place was literally 1 mile away from my mother's house so I figured I'd pay the extra overhead and have it delivered because it was so close.Let's get the con out of the way; despite me putting my address in and stating where I lived the food was never delivered. I received prompt notifications on my phone about it being almost ready & that it was on its way..but I literally was standing in front of the single family residence and received a text that my food was delivered but it wasn't. Not the best first impression..When I called the establishment Chelf Salty communicated his dismay and stated he would remake my order for in person pick-up; I appreciated his effort to make this right so I agreed.I'm glad I did.I ordered the spicy miso ramen, the tori katsu ramen, and the stamina ramen (was sharing with mom). The spicy miso ramen has a nice kick, the ramen noodles have a good chew and the pork confit was silky. Katsu ramen and stamina ramen though brothless had great balance of flavor between the amazingly dressed noodles (again nice kick in heat/flavor that wasn't blindingly spicy), perfect jammy eggs and the the chicken katsu was DIVINE..perfectly crisp..juicy..and again..great balance of flavor in the chicken. If you don't feel like getting in your car to drive to a ramen place and just want to tuck into some yummy ramen at home do give this place a try..I'm glad I did. Is it the best ramen I have ever had in my life? No..but I think it holds its own with the other ramen places in Essex county and again..I think it's a great option for the peeps that live in Nutley/Belleville area that just want to tuck into some good comfort food that isn't pizza or mexican-give it a shot!“
“small ramen with big flavors. I enjoyed everything from the chill atmosphere to amazing food. the blend of Peruvian cuisine with traditional Japanese dishes is a match made in foodie heaven. I had the double fried wings and sloppy joe bao bun for a starter and each dish was better than the last. the wings were super crispy yet tender inside and the sloppy joe bao buns were a trip down memory lane. the sloppy brought me back to my childhood eating at a friend's house. for my ramen I had the tonkatu. their pork broth was hearty and tasteful and reminded me of my first bowl of real ramen. I highly recommend going there and finding out on your own...“
“Sorry for the lack of photos for the review. This is my second time here and let me say it was better than the first time, the potato corn dog got bigger??!! Wings were fantastic and the tteokbokki was chewy and spicy. Please keep up the consistency for which koreans are amazing for.“
“First time trying this place! Food was so yummy my partner and I forgot to take a picture. We both ordered the two protein build your own bowl and the portion sizes were perfect. The service was fantastic (shoutout to our server Joyce)! We’ll definitely be back soon. (:“
“Tiny little Japanese restaurant with a lovely friendly team in the open kitchen!Had the bento box and it was flavorful. Sushi was fresh. My partner enjoyed his ramen (but I personally preferred the bento and sushi options). Will absolutely be back! There are a couple tables outside in case the weather is nice.“
“Let me start with the constructive feedback- and if you are still reading based on the scoring- you clearly want to try this place. -Wish there was a more accessible entry- not stroller friendly. -Wish some of their dishes came with sauce to dip in since a lot of it is finger friendly. -Wish their menu didnt label all the seafood items as vegetarian. Now the good, because a little bit of lifting and asking can help with the above! Service was amazing. Our server was super informative and guided us on our culinary excursion. Szechuan Ravioli- spicy vinaigrette so may be a little on the sour side for some, nice crisp on the outside Fried Rice- serviceable, not much to it Impossible Duck Bun - vegetarian, nice flavor profile and a good bite Vegetable Bowl - lots of veggies and a choice of noodles or rice. Get the noodles. Shanghai Wontons- we ordered this last but we should have done this first... and in multiples. My fav dish because I am a sucker for spicy peanut sauce. Spicy Vegetable Bun- also a great bun, cant go wrong with any of them really. Nice sauté on the vegetables and great flavor. If you made it this far....go! Get those shanghai wontons to start and see where your journey takes you!“
“What a difference a year makes!I came to Muteki about two weeks after they first opened and was extremely disappointed. I was fully prepared to write them off, but this past winter was cold, so I gave them another shot. I have been back at least 5 times since then, because they are delicious! This is the first Jersey ramen venue since the demise of Union Republic that is worth continuous patronage! The broths are delicious and the noodle quality is consistent and finally firm! There is a good variety for the exotics (black garlic is popular), but I also want to highlight a great selection of appetizers - some of the best bao and takoyaki I've had in a long time!“
“Amazing food. Can swing it with a kid.Food:Amazing!!Clams and focassia- wanted to lick every bite, kid found clam hard to chew (that's more my kid than anything)Tonkasu ramenPalate cleanserCarbonara and scampi ramenSo so but still greatGyoza cacio e pepeMy kid ate the chicken katsu ! And the cacio e pepe and ramenKid was not bothered by loud music or darkness. We preenptively gave him an iPad so he wouldn't make a sceneThey do adhere to the 90 min limit. Totally fine but if they seat us late, shouldn't we get an extension?“
“So I wanted to bring my sis here for some seafood ramen. I had tried their food before via delivery thru an app and enjoyed it sooo much. We went on a Friday afternoon and were seated right away. We knew exactly what we wanted, so we ordered quickly. In the meantime, we were given some water with mint leaves and lemon... oh, so great (I have to do that at home). Our ramen came out pretty quickly and it was delicious as always...my picky sister loved it... This food reslly hit the spot. We'll be back to try other soups.“
“i wish I could give this restaurant 10 STARS! i treated myself to sushi for dinner and GrubHub lost the order twice (the initial order and the REPLACEMENT order too). Ninja Sushi called to discuss my experience and when I mentioned it was my birthday they INSISTED on personally delivering the order themselves at no charge. i am floored by their customer service and kindness. the food was great as well. definitely a new FAVORITE of mine!“
“Anime and Asian Food might be a dream come true in Jersey City. The One Piece Art is what attracted me. Top 2 best Anime ever. Not a fan of Asian flavors but I wont be bias ? & let my wife review with me. When you walk in you have enough seats to sit down and the server come take care of you. For appetizer we had the steam gyoza. I didn't like it but my wife enjoyed it with the sauce. My wife had the Miso Chicken ramen. She gave it an 8.7/10. The perfect spiciness in the broth, egg was super delicious and noodles was perfectly cooked. She didn't rlly like the chicken. I had the chicken teriyaki with rice. I didnt like the chicken teriyaki at all but enjoyed the sauce of it with my rice yum. Wife thinks chicken teriyaki is tender and juicy. She also loved the sauce. I had a peach ice tea which was delicious“
“The ribeye yakitori was pretty good, tender and a good amount of sauce to pair it quite well. The chicken skin yakitori was very crispy and delicious, with just a tad too much sauce which made some pieces overly salty, but no biggie. The salmon tartar was just okay, with the yuzu sauce being very sour. I think if the amount of avocado being increased a bit, it would have helped equalize its sourness with the creaminess of the avocado. The three rolls lunch special is very fresh and had more ingredients than rice, just like the special dancing lobster roll which had so much lobster (as evident in the pictures)! The rock shrimp lunch bento was also just mediocre, potentially due to it being overly battered and pieces were combined together. Overall, we really loved the freshness and generosity of the fishes in their normal and special sushi rolls! The restaurant also looks very pretty with beautiful floral decorations and is incredibly spacious and clean. The staff were all very friendly and quick with their service, with pretty plates and utensils. Will definitely be back and I'm sure with a little adjustment, the quality of their food will only continue to enhance!Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:“
“I love this place. They always have great and fresh food. My favorite has to be the vegetable ramen. It’s so delicious, their chicken wings are flavorful and guns texture is pretty good. I love their bubble tea as well. I order through Uber eats majority of the time, I wonder if I can directly order from this restaurant though. I think I’ll find that out. Today I ordered the matcha green tea bubble tea, usually I order the mango milk bubble tea. They must remember because Uber gave me a complimentary mango bubble tea. This place is highly recommended by me. 10 stars“
“I came here for the first time last night. I’ve been to the other restaurants with the same name I have to say I think the atmosphere here is better it’s bigger and it’s just more comfortable. The waitress was nice and speak much English but she knew what I wanted. I ordered the combo with ramen soup & teriyaki chicken. It came with white rice.. I was very hungry so I ate everything. I love the broth of the soup. It’s very delicious. It was cold last night so this really hit the spot. They have plenty of parking and Plenty of seats. I highly recommend this restaurant for Ramen..Parking: there are a lot of parking spots. No problem to get a spot here.“
“Hands down one of the best bowl resturants in NYC. Chicken Teriyaki with vegetables and rice is simply one of their best foods and it's phenomenal. Sometime the place offers a very nice free drink and other offers in store. This is simply the nicest and the best asian restaurant on SI ever, period.“
“A friend and I had dinner in the bar here on Saturday night. We started with the Korean Chicken Wings, they were perfection! I don’t know what a previous review was talking about, these did not taste old to us. Just the right amount of heat and sauce, I could eat these everyday! We then had both the Pork Belly and Ribeye Beef Buns. Both were delicious, especially the Ribeye Beef ones. We were stuffed, but we had also both ordered the Kara’age Avocado Rice Bowls - amazing! I couldn’t finish mine so I took it home and it was still delicious the next day! Tim’s cocktails were superb (try the Apple Pie Old Fashioned ❤️) and our waitperson was a delight! I just wish I lived closer so I could eat (and drink!) here more often!“
“Been a few times now to eat in and grab take out. The people are always friendly and helpful in both scenarios. We've gotten a couple different ramen bowls and poke/burritos. Food is always tasty and generously portioned. Only minor complaint I've ever had is that the eggs in the ramen could be a little less cooked for me but otherwise everything else has been great.“
“Delicious ramen and those pork buns are sooo ridiculously tasty!!!! Took my coworkers there last week and everyone enjoyed their meals and all good things to say. The staff is friendly and attentive as well. All around a great place to get your ramen fix! Will definitely go back! Parking is a bit tough in the area in general but that wont stop me from going back. A++“
“"Muteki Ramen is the best ramen in Hoboken. We have been visiting this location since they opened during COVID. Excellent customer service, very welcoming atmosphere, and delicious food. Their noodle texture is the best. We love the general manager . “DERICK” every time we visit, he always welcomes us like family."“
“Aaran and Gracie, are amazing every visit!! I love them so much that I would only sit where they serve! They give great recommendations! The food is always hot and the service is superb! My favorite meal is a the super duper spicy miso ramen with pork belly, an extra side of short rib, x2 eggs, sometimes just one egg. The meals are so fulfilling. I had devoured it prior to writing this review. Today was the first time, I’ve tried the Panko shrimp. Yes, it’s crispy, lightly seasoned and just the right crunch! I’ve enjoyed this meal tonight with an Ani Bottle of wine. This spot is a Boyb! Thank god Aaran told me after so many visits. I did notice my Uber Eats and Doordash account, I order takeout 2-3 a month and eat in 3 times this month alone. I love this location and service!“
“An amazing take-out restaurant on Park Ave in Rutherford. The best dumplings in NJ! Also makes amazing Fried Wontons in the most delicious garlic sauce. Family run business - the husband and wife are the sweetest and accommodating on menu changes. Unfortunately there is no dine in service but that won't stop me from ordering once a month!!“
“This is my must-go for brunch or late lunch. Super friendly staff! I like most of their food from the menu such as HK style French toast; salty yolk fried chicken wings; tomato with pork chop baked with cheese; House special golden chicken; curry fish balls with turnips; seafood stir fry Mei fun; HK style milk tea… so much great food.“
“Just tried it for the first time. It hit the spot. I thoroughly enjoyed my bowl of classic tonkatsu ramen. Great service I will be back ❤️ I forgot to mention they have a clever duo container so the noodles and toppings are kept separate from the broth, enhancing the take out experience.“
“The ramen here. Is excellent. Every time we come to 99 ranch we pass by here for a bite. The service is fast and friendly. Prices aren't cheap but comparable to other places. They have a small eating area within the food court right next to the restaurant. Always enjoyable ramen!“
“The owner KJ is super sweet and amazing!! Gave recommendations and is really nice. Also didn't say anything when we did work here until closing. The boba is good as always, but the food was amazing. I was not expecting the food here to be this good, all the portions are huge too! The popcorn chicken is a must, and the teriyaki chicken and curry chicken are also good. recommend!!“
“That's my second time here . This place is pretty cool. Impeccable service. Great and cozy place. I never had to wait to be seated. The food is ok. The ramen doesn't come with eggs.the Bao buns were delicious. I'd definitely come “
“The food tastes very fresh and made with care. The beef and vegetable ramens are delicious! The service is very friendly, and the place is clean. It’s nice to have such a great ramen place like this around. We’d definitely come back again!“
“My go to place for sushi in Hoboken! We've ordered takeout countless times and it's always been fresh and tasty. We dined in once for a birthday (BYOB) and while it was quiet and lacking ambiance, sushi presentation was great. Absolutely loved the Trio Spicy special roll and will continue ordering from here as long as i'm in Hoboken!“
“Best local ramen and specialty sushi. Whenever there's a rainy day I'm craving this ramen. Broth is flavorful and toppings go well together. My go to is the Miso Ramen (the braised pork is delicious and tender). Their specialty sushi's all have one price and are very reasonable. The fish is fresh and tasty. Other sushi places in the area tend to be more pricey for the amount and quality you get here. Also a must try: vegetarian ramen options.“
“One reason I love Yelp? The large swath of opinions just inches from each other. Scrolling the reviews for Pora and you'll see, "Thee worst ramen I've ever had. so bland and flavorless," mighty close to, "Possibly the best mall foodcourt ramen I've ever had!!" (I'm not sure if that extra "e" for The/Thee in the former has more 'weight' to it than the extra exclamation points in the latter.) What I can bring to the discussion... the Mrs. absolutely loves ramen and she loves this place. If we're bound for this mall and looking for grub? It'll always be ramen and she'll scoff if you dare to use any utensil besides chopsticks. As for a simple guy that doesn't really know much about ramen? Two visits spaced a year or so apart. Both times getting their vegetarian option. Flavor... first time was 'hmmm, okay' (too much corn, a bit boring), second time was 'oohhhh damn!' (less corn, and it packed a punch from the first slurp to the very last). Pricing... for the hefty (heavy) portion of (scolding hot) soup loaded with noodles and finely-diced veggies - more than fair. Deceptively filling. In this food court my heart belongs to Falafel, Inc. - but Pora isn't too far behind. (Oh, and just between us: I wasn't having much luck with just chopsticks and had to cheat with a spoon!)“
“This was my first visit to Ani Ramen. It was just before noon. What was annoying was that their web site was down and Google said they open at 11:30am but it was posted that lunch starts at noon on their door. It appeared that it opened at 11:30am so I waited outside for 20 minutes for no reason. I ordered the No. 3 Chef's Special. I was talked into adding ajitamaa. Who am I to argue with the experts. I enjoyed my meal in the dark while using chopsticks with limited experience and listening to upbeat music not in English. I also received a complimentary side of Japanese Cucumber. The food was great with emphasis on the kakuni and ajitamaa.“
“Wow, the customer service and food was amazing.I was out with my partner, and I had a huge craving for Ramen and she wanted sushi so we went through all the Google reviews and found this placeThe atmosphere was warm and inviting. The broth for the soup was amazing! And the sushi was just as spectacular.Thank you mountain fusion. We will see you on the next trip.Edemame (not pictured)TonkotsuSpecial dragon roll“
“This is my second time at Menya (Jersey City). Both times I had the Chicken Teriyaki Don. It is really good, I did notice the second time my dish had a lot more onions in it (didn’t even notice the onions the first time). Consistency can be an issue but nonetheless the food was delicious. The service is a little so so, as you order and have to go pick up your food once your number is called. The restaurant is very spacious and well kept. Definitely a must try if you’re in the area.“
“Well, well, well Ani Ramen what do you have to say for yourself? Answer me or prepare to fight!! Alright then take this…I hope that it’s mostly good things and positive self talk because you served up some tastiness.Noods and tasty broth really came through on this frigid windswept Jersey City day. The boa buns were soft and savory with some juicy crispity chicken. The little sausages were alright crispy with a slap of bbq.The wait staff delivered the goods with prompt politeness. The atmosphere was chic from the lighting to the tabling.I 100% slurped my way to contentment. One helpful caveat. There be a 3% add on for the payment of the plastic variety, but it’s cool cause this gurl paid in greenbacks.Happy slurping my noodheads ?“
“Miso Ramen in Jersey City, while not clinching the top spot, proudly stands as the third-best in this culinary competitive town, a feat that is no small accomplishment. In a city teeming with ramen contenders, each vying for the title of the best, being number three is a testament to the quality and charm this place exudes. This ranking doesn't diminish its allure; rather, it highlights the rich tapestry of options available to the discerning ramen aficionado in Jersey City. To be third in such a distinguished lineup is akin to holding a bronze medal in an Olympic field of gastronomic giants. It speaks volumes about the dedication and skill behind each bowl served. The miso ramen here, a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, reflects the meticulous care taken in its preparation. Being number three doesn't mean compromise in quality or experience. On the contrary, it's a beacon for those who seek not just the popular choice, but a place that resonates with authenticity and passion. In the words of a culinary explorer like myself, sometimes the third-best spot is where you find the heart of a city's food scene. It's where the story isn't just about the food, but about the people, the atmosphere, and the unyielding commitment to a craft. In Jersey City, this miso ramen spot isn't just a number three; it's a destination with its own unique story, one that richly deserves to be told and savored.“
“I have been around a lot, lots of places in the US and around the world, even Tokyo, and let me tell you, this place got to have the best ramen in the US, its taste and consistency are very close to the ones i tried in Japan, you will be delighted and satisfied. I live in DC and every time I go back to Jersey, I always bring myself back to this amazing ramen place. Also their rolls are great! I still gotta try their sushi :) Overall 5 stars ⭐️“
